Chapter 374: Invitation From Sacred Elements Empire

Chapter 374: Invitation From Sacred Elements Empire

He suddenly appeared in a different space and was a bit surprised, as the power that pulled him was very strong and clearly surpassed eternal god level; otherwise, he would not have been that easily pulled here.

"Impressive. I didn’t expect someone to reach such a high level with only the true god realm. You truly surprise me." A sudden calm voice appeared, followed by the ghost or spirit-like figure appearing right in front of him.

A translucent, spirit-like figure materialised before him, draped in flowing ethereal robes, its form flickering between reality and illusion.

Apollo’s eyes glimmered with interest. "Who are you?"

The translucent figure’s form stabilised slightly, its aura calm yet immeasurably deep. Even though it didn’t release any aggressive intent, he could sense that this being stood on a level far beyond eternal gods — a realm he could only vaguely grasp.

"I am the spirit of the Tower," the figure said, its voice ancient and steady, carrying the weight of countless years. "Though I am now just a fragment, a remnant left behind by a mighty existence far beyond your comprehension."

The space around them pulsed faintly, as if the tower itself was breathing.

"You have done something few ever could. You pushed through the limits not by relying on your cultivation but with your will and your body alone. That is the original purpose of this tower—to temper the body, the soul, and the very essence of a being."

Apollo’s gaze sharpened.

"What is terrifying about you is that your realm is just middle-stage true god, but your physique reached the level of peak eternal god; truly a terrifying potential you have."

"So after seeing your potential, I wanted to make a deal with you."

"Deal? What kind of deal?" He asked with interest.

The spirit’s translucent form glowed faintly, its voice low and steady, carrying an ancient weight. "In the depths of this tower lies a sealed chamber. It contains something left behind by my original master — a relic far beyond the limits of this realm. Even I... am forbidden to enter."

The spirit’s gaze darkened slightly. "For countless eras, no one has qualified to approach it. But you... you might be the exception."

Apollo’s fingers tapped rhythmically against his arm, his curiosity steadily growing. "Why me?"

"Because you may be capable of reaching the 300th floor," the spirit answered, its tone firm. "Something impossible for even eternal gods. Your cultivation is still at the True God realm, yet you walk this path with a body that rivals the peak of the Eternal Gods. That gap... that monstrous growth potential... is precisely what this trial demands."

Apollo’s fingers tapped lightly against his arm, his interest deepening.

"And don’t worry; the thing at the end of the 300th floor is definitely worth your effort. Even among Transcendents, what lies there would stir greed and desperation."" The spirit said again.

His lips curled into a faint smile. "You say it’s impossible for eternal gods, yet you expect me to do it as a true god?"

"Exactly," the spirit replied. "The tower’s purpose was never for ordinary cultivators. It is meant to forge anomalies... beings who can crush destiny with their bare hands."

"And if I refuse?"

The spirit didn’t flinch. "Then you may leave freely. But you will always wonder what might have awaited you at the summit."

Apollo chuckled softly, the fire in his eyes igniting. "How could I turn away from such an invitation?" Although he wasn’t sure if what the spirit told him was true or not, this tower did help him and had an extraordinary origin, so it might be worth trying.

"Then that’s good, but your level is too low, so the next time you try, you should improve your realm; at least reach the eternal god realm to have some chance." The spirit commented, to which he kind of agreed.

His cultivation was lagging behind his physique. His body had soared to a realm that could rival peak eternal gods, but his essence and soul were still bound to the limits of a true god. Such an imbalance, if pushed too far, could cause his foundation to collapse.

The body, the soul, and the essence—these were the three pillars of all lifeforms. If one far exceeded the others by too much, the internal harmony would rupture, leading to self-destruction.

The spirit seemed to sense his understanding and nodded faintly. "Prepare well, anomaly. This tower will not go anywhere, but the next time you return... Be ready to truly challenge the impossible."

Apollo gave a slight nod. "I will."

As the spirit’s form slowly faded, the pressure surrounding him eased, and he found himself back on the 151st floor.

And then he quickly went the way he came, and along with his guardian, they left the Gravity Tower.

But the moment they stepped out, they noticed the number of people monitoring them had disappeared; instead, two people in elegant clothes with a powerful aura were waiting for them.

Apollo’s gaze sharpened slightly. ’These two... they’re not ordinary.’ Their strength have reached peak of half-god realm.

One of them, a middle-aged man with calm, piercing eyes, stepped forward and cupped his fists with polite restraint. "Honoured guests from the Eastern Continent, I am Commander Linus, representative of the Sacred Elements Imperial Council."

The woman beside him, who appeared serene but whose presence was no less imposing, also gave a slight nod. "I am First Envoy Selene. The Empire’s higher-ups would like to formally invite you for a small meeting."

Apollo’s lips curved into a faint, unreadable smile. "So they finally decided to come forward."

The empire had been watching him since the moment he entered the city. His performance in the Gravity Tower had likely shattered their expectations and forced their hand. No longer content to observe from the shadows, they now wished to meet him directly.

The guardian subtly shifted his stance but said nothing, leaving the decision to Apollo.

Apollo raised an eyebrow, his voice light yet carrying undeniable weight. "Lead the way, then."

Commander Linus’s expression remained respectful, but his heart was heavy. He knew about the performance of Apollo and his guardian, as they both surpassed their empire’s strongest record with ease.

Without delay, they began walking toward the imperial palace, a quiet storm building beneath the calm surface.
