Chapter 357: Deterring the ten great powers

And then they saw him—a lone figure walking out beneath the starlight, hands behind his back.

Young. Calm. Unhurried.

But as he stepped into view, the pressure of the sky shifted. The very space around him twisted gently, as though bowing to his presence.

The ten Void God ancestors narrowed their eyes.

"Who are you?"

Apollo looked at them without blinking. His blue eyes gleamed faintly under the moonlight.

"This is my home. You’re standing at its gate."

The simple sentence made several ancestors stiffen.

They were ancestors and survived tens of thousands of years; they quickly understood the person standing in front of them should be the genius that left Rion.

Back when Apollo had left, it had sent minor ripples through the eastern continent—especially when news leaked that someone from a remote corner had been accepted by Sky Tower, one of the Transcendent Forces of the Three Universes. For a time, there had been some speculation, even envy.

But geniuses vanished all the time. Many never returned. Most failed to rise above the sea of monsters in the broader universe.

Some did think that it was the genius who might have returned, but they, as void gods, knew it wasn’t easy to return, not to mention coming in such a grand divine-grade spaceship.

So they were doubtful about it, but now seeing this come true, they were shocked at what status and power needed to return with such a big fanfare. Not to mention it is just a few years; how can he in such a short time have such status?

"It’s only been a few years... What status must he hold to return like this?" Murmured one of the ten ancestors of the ten great powers, his voice dry with shock.

"That battleship isn’t just a simple divine grade; it seems more extraordinary," another Void God Realm ancestor said with a trembling voice.

The realisation struck them like thunder.

To go from a rising talent to someone who could command a divine battleship that exuded transcendent pressure... and return as if descending from the heavens—it was inconceivable.

But they calmed down. They cannot perceive Apollo’s realm, but they thought he might have been accepted by some big shot in Sky Tower, and the ship was from his master.

They didn’t believe that young kid who wasn’t even a fifth-level saint could become so strong in just a few years.

The air trembled slightly as Apollo stood before them—serene, immovable, like a monument carved by the universe itself.

The ten Void Gods of the Eastern Continent stared at him, trying to figure him out, but in the end, they found nothing. However, they didn’t try anything funny as they noticed the lunar moon guardians.

Compared to Apollo, whose power was covered in mysteries, they were clear, as they didn’t hide them. Even though suppressed at the peak of the void god, it still sends chills to their spines.

One of the ancestors, clad in a flame-patterned robe symbolising the Blazing Lotus Sect, one of the ten overlords of the eastern continent, narrowed his eyes.

"We’ve come to see who it was that shook the continent," he said, trying to keep his tone even. "Not with ill will, of course."

His gaze flicked toward the Lunar Star Moon guardians, their silent formation like an array of statues—each one a fortress of unspoken violence. Even suppressed, their Void God peak aura oozed menace.

The ancestor of Heaven-Slashing Sabre Hall, which is also one of the ten great powers, grunted.

"Such protection for one person..." They knew such protection was needed, and so no one moved.

They didn’t dare.

This was no longer the youth that they could ignore but a powerful genius with immense power and authority.

Even if the ship wasn’t his, who could command such people unless they themselves had reached a terrifying height?

And then—

"You’ve seen enough," Apollo said quietly. His tone was neither hostile nor arrogant. But it brooked no argument. "You may leave."

He might have to meet them again, but not today, as they just disturbed his family gathering.

The command swept over them like falling stars. Sharp. Absolute.

A flicker of displeasure crossed their faces, as they were the ancestor of the ten strongest forces of the eastern continent, whose pride wouldn’t allow them to be dismissed like some wandering merchant.

But before they could say anything, an almighty aura seemed to come crashing down on them. For a moment they felt it was difficult to breathe and even felt their legs were shaking. The invisible pressure was like nothing they had ever felt before.

Their soul seemed to tremble; they felt their mind going numb, and just as they were going to fall on their knees, the invisible oppressive power disappeared.

The pressure vanished like mist under sunlight.

One moment, the world had seemed to collapse on them. The next, everything was eerily still.

The ten Void God ancestors stood frozen—backs drenched in cold sweat, hearts pounding like war drums. They didn’t dare speak. They didn’t dare move.

Each of them looked around, as if expecting some ancient beast to descend from the heavens, but all they saw was the same young man before them—hands behind his back, gaze calm, unshaken.

Apollo hadn’t moved.

But they understood—it was him.

Not the guardians. Not the ship.

It was Apollo who had released that soul-crushing pressure, which almost instantly let them forget every bit of pride within them.

"T-This junior... " One of the void god-level ancestors couldn’t help stopping midway. His voice cracked as he bowed deeply, coughing blood. The title "junior" slipping from his lips was now an insult.

Nine other Void Gods, proud pillars of their respective sects and families, bowed—some with clenched fists, some with faces pale, but none with defiance. It was hard to accept that such a young junior was stronger than them, and it wasn’t by a small margin.

The eldest among them, the ancestor of the Heavenly Lotus Sect, finally found his voice.

"We offer our apologies, Young Lord. It seems... the world has changed more quickly than we expected."
