Chapter 344: Inheritance (Part-2)

Slowly the entire Valley of Beginning seemed to start to tremble. Other geniuses, whether they were from the sanctum or the geniuses from outside, all stopped whatever they were doing.

"What the hell is happening?"

A pressure—vast, invisible, yet suffocating—descended upon the entire valley.

The air thickened, heavy with the weight of ancient battle spirits and forgotten rules. Tombstones cracked and glowed, releasing slivers of ghostly light that danced around Apollo like wandering stars returning to their orbit. It was no longer a matter of resonance with one or two tombs—the valley itself was responding to him.

Even the ground beneath his feet pulsed faintly, as if some ancient formation deep below recognised his presence.

Sara and Clark, awakened from their state, already standing with new divine marks glowing on their foreheads, could only stare in disbelief.

"Don’t tell me he’s..." One of the native warriors trailed off, eyes wide with something between fear and reverence.

Then it happened.

A deep, echoing boom sounded from the centre of the valley—a sound that didn’t come from the sky nor the earth but from something ancient and buried. And in that instant, the murky clouds above the valley were split apart by a column of sword-light that descended from the heavens like divine judgement, crashing down over Apollo’s head.

Yet, he didn’t move.

At that moment every single tomb seemed to awaken at the same time, creating an unprecedented phenomenon that appeared for the first time.

Countless rules and mysterious power seemed to have awakened and started to circle around him.

Other geniuses present cannot help but feel shocked and even dare not to move as the mysterious rules present in the Valley of Beginning were agitated violently. The aura of rules around them makes them feel terrified.

Like, if they moved, they would be instantly annihilated by the power of rules in the valley.

Not only were there countless sword rules, but other rules were trembling with excitement. But when they all thought there wouldn’t be any more surprises, the gigantic corpse at the centre that didn’t show any moment except its heartbeat started to show movement.

First, it was a twitch in one finger. Then a faint convulsion across its stone-like chest. The ancient heartbeat, once subtle and slow like the toll of a forgotten bell, now grew louder.

Thump... thump... thump.

With each beat, the valley’s energy pulsed in tandem, as if the entire sanctum was syncing with the awakening of this buried behemoth.

Everyone froze.

The corpse was a myth even among myths.

Yet now, because of Apollo’s arrival, it was responding.

The valley responded not just with awe but with submission. The rules, the inheritance spirits, and the lingering war souls—all bowed before a greater will.

And at the centre of it all, Apollo stood alone.

Then, from within the massive corpse’s chest, a radiant point of light emerged. And from that light, an ancient and mighty figure of a war god with terrifying armour seemed to appear above them.

The figure continued to become bigger and bigger; in a matter ofs, it became as tall as thousands of kilometres, almost covering the entire Valley of the Beginning.

From it, a fragment of divinity. An ancient seed of power. It floated into the air, trembling... then drifted directly toward Apollo, slow but unyielding.

Nobody dared to stop it.

Nobody could.

The ancient seed of power seemed to push everything aside; even the rules that were circling around him seemed to make a way for it.

Boom!

The moment the ancient seed touched Apollo’s chest, a blinding explosion of divine brilliance erupted across the Valley of Beginning. A tidal wave of light swept over tombs, mountains, and the sky. The heavens groaned, and the very space quivered—unable to contain the magnitude of the moment.

The war god’s colossal figure, towering above all like an eternal sentinel, raised its eyes. Though made of light and memory, its gaze seemed aware—as if it saw Apollo... and approved.

In that instant, the figure bent its knees.

A god of war bowed.

The entire valley descended into dead silence. Even the wind stilled.

Apollo stood unmoved, his eyes half-closed as waves of ancient knowledge and godly comprehension flooded his soul.

This was a seed of rule which was not new to him, as he had already experienced it, but what was interesting was the understanding of the rule this seed contained.

It was not a seed containing any elemental laws or some powerful rules like space, life or any such rule, but it contained the ’Rule of War’. An extraordinary rule which might not have appeared appealing as space or death but was extremely powerful.

It was the rule that made the warrior stronger; the more they fight and the higher their understanding more quickly they will become stronger in a fight.

Injuries became lessons. Struggles became breakthroughs. Every strike, every clash, every drop of blood spilt on the field of combat would not be in vain—it would be fuel.

This was not a passive rule. It was active, aggressive, and insatiable. A rule made for those who did not retreat, who did not yield, who advanced through fire, steel, and pain.

Apollo’s divine soul surged as the seed merged into him. The sensations were not violent but deep—like molten iron being poured into the mould of a god.

Images flashed through his mind. Armies colliding beneath shattered skies. Warriors fighting atop crumbling worlds. It was like he was actually in those world-shattering wars, and he experienced all of this.

A sharp breath escaped his lips. His aura surged—not wild, but sharpened, condensed, and honed like a battle-hardened blade. His presence no longer felt simply powerful; it felt inevitable—like the coming of war itself.

He quickly, with the help of rule seed, understood the law of war, and it rapidly started to increase.

1%... 10%, 20%, 30%....

Without any intention of stopping, it continued to rise and quickly reached 99% of the law of war. But it was far from over, as this seed of rule contained eons of experience and understanding, which brought him an unimaginable level of improvement.

And in just half an hour, he made the further breakthrough, finally crossing the barrier and understanding the rule of war.
