Chapter 323: Encounter person from Sanctum

Everyone looked at him with horror, fascination or jealousy. All of them have different thoughts; many even have killing intent, as they want to catch him and find out how he did it, whether he has some treasure or a heaven-defying chance to achieve such a result.

Clark and Sara walked a few steps behind, their expressions mixed with awe and resolve. They understood that following in Apollo’s footsteps was impossible... But walking beside him, even for a moment, would define the rest of their lives.

As they reached the threshold, a sudden burst of divine energy surged from the gate. A pillar of multicoloured light scanned them from head to toe, not like a test, but like... a recording.

Then—

Click.

The gate began to open.

Not like stone or metal, but like a living creature unfolding its wings. The sacred patterns etched on its surface began to pulse, and the space inside twisted, forming a tunnel of stars, ruins, and collapsing timelines.

It felt less like they were entering a place and more like stepping into history itself.

Kael’s voice reached Apollo faintly from behind, respectful and steady:

"My Lord, may your legend grow even deeper within the Sanctum."

Apollo didn’t look back. But he gave a slight nod.

Then he stepped through.

He was followed by Clark, and Sara entered the gate first. Seeing this other thousand of geniuses from various forces also step forward.

The instant Apollo stepped into the Primordial Sanctum, the world changed again.

Reality fragmented and reformed around him as if the gate had torn away the skin of the universe, revealing something far older beneath. The stars in the sky were no longer stars, but each star seemed to represent something or someone. Thereafter, they landed on a mysterious star filled with ancient aura.

Clark and Sara stumbled slightly behind him, their faces pale with awe and disbelief. They felt a very ancient and mysterious aura which, although it didn’t do any harm, still made them feel heavy in their souls.

It took them some time for the two to adjust.

Apollo, on the other hand, was waiting to see if others were also coming, but after a few seconds, nobody else came, meaning every force is teleported randomly here, which is actually a good thing for most.

However, it didn’t matter to him, as he also wanted to see how good the other geniuses were.

"Looks like you adjusted; let’s go." He looked at the two of them and then calmly moved forward.

Clark and Sara quickly followed his lead, as not much is known about the Primordial Sanctum except that there are countless treasures and legacies of ancient strength, but it was also filled with danger.

They stepped through the swirling mist and were immediately enveloped in a strange twilight. This place was vast and silent—like a forgotten continent resting at the edge of reality itself.

Towering ruins stretched into the sky like jagged spires. Black rivers of law energy twisted through the air like veins.

And the ground beneath them occasionally shifted as if something massive slept beneath.

Suddenly, a voice—not ancient, but young, filled with mocking delight—rang out:

"Oh? Could it be time for a group of bold little insects to appear here?"

From the shadows, a figure emerged. Slender, wrapped in robes woven from time itself, with burning blue eyes that ignored space and distance.

The aura on him was a bit weird, as it was different from the people of three universes; rather, it seemed kind of broken, abandoned by heaven.

Apollo couldn’t help but feel interested, as from the news, it was known there were living creatures within the sanctum, but they seemed to be unable to leave this place. They also are one of the dangers here, as most of the inhabitants are very strong.

But they seemed to be suppressed and able to use a little bit of their strength, and yet they still are a major problem for geniuses.

The new figure’s footsteps didn’t echo—but the space around each step twisted, as though refusing to bear his presence. The smile on his lips was sharp, cruel, and utterly confident.

Clark instinctively reached for his weapon, while Sara narrowed her eyes and quietly activated a defensive formation. Apollo, however, merely tilted his head.

"You’re not from the three universes," Apollo said flatly. He quickly understood.

The robed figure smirked, as if that much should’ve been obvious. "The three universes? Hah. I was forgotten before they even began to rot."

The Primordial Sanctum seemed to respond—low vibrations thrummed through the stone, and the laws in the atmosphere curled away like frightened beasts.

But his gaze locked on the figure, not with fear, but with genuine curiosity.

The stranger’s smile widened, as if feeding off the attention. "Ahh, how delightful. For merely being lambs screaming in the dark, you seem quite confident."

He raised his hand slowly—and for a heartbeat, the stars above paused.

The laws froze.

And then...

They cracked.

"Beings like me were shackled here when your ancestors were still crawling through mud, praying to false skies," he said softly, voice echoing inside their minds. "But don’t worry; I won’t kill you yet. No, no... you interest me. Especially you," he said, pointing a single withered finger toward Apollo.

"I especially like torturing you overconfident proud geniuses, who don’t know shit about the universe."

Apollo’s expression remained unreadable, but a faint shimmer of sword aura leaked from his palm, slicing a faint line in the mist that healed slower than it should have.

"I don’t like talking to corpses," he said at last. "If you’re done monologuing, try."

The stranger blinked once.

Then laughed.

"Oh, good. I like you."

"But I didn’t, so let’s end this bullshit." Apollo then made the first move and punched towards the stranger from the sanctum, without giving it any chance to talk more.

Boom!

Although the punch seems simple, it contains extreme power that can peak a true god instantly; even an early-stage eternal god wouldn’t take it easily.

The void screamed as Apollo’s fist tore through space in one devastating burst. The punch, carrying the accumulated might of countless battles and the sharp edge of absolute confidence, struck straight toward the Sanctum being.
