Chapter 310: The group’s strength
Apollo finally smirked, his gaze locked onto Draven.
"Well? Still curious?" he asked, his tone sharp yet composed.
Draven’s expression darkened, but he knew better than to press the matter further. Without another word, he stepped back into the crowd, his challenge defused—but not forgotten.
The Overseer glanced around the room, his presence looming. "Now that this matter is settled, you all can depart. The Three Universe Alliance gathering awaits."
He then moved his hand, and a space portal appeared behind them, leading them to their spaceship.
"Go."
Without hesitation, the gathered warriors stepped forward, one by one, into the shimmering portal.
Apollo followed last, his gaze sweeping over the crowd. He could feel the lingering resentment from some, the cautious approval from others, and the silent expectations pressing down on him. It didn’t matter. He had long since learnt that respect was not something given—it was something earned through power.
As he stepped through the portal, a vast expanse of endless space greeted him. Before them, the Sky Tower’s flagship awaited—a massive void-class battleship, floating like an ancient titan among the stars. Its metallic hull gleamed with an eerie, otherworldly glow, embedded with countless runes that pulsed with restrained power.
The warriors boarded swiftly. Inside, the halls of the ship were lined with advanced formations, built for both defence and war.
As Apollo reached the command deck, he glanced at the main control panel. Through the reinforced void crystal glass, he saw the distant shimmer of the stars in the distant void.
He then gave the order, and their journey begins.
The ship hummed with power as Apollo gave the order. "Activate void jump. Set course for the Void Star River."
A deep, resonant hum spread through the vessel as the void engines roared to life. The formations along the walls lit up in cascading patterns of ancient runes and cosmic energy, stabilising the ship for its journey through the endless expanse.
The view outside the void crystal glass shifted. Stars stretched into streaks of light as the ship entered a higher-dimensional space, tearing through the cosmic veil with unrestrained momentum.
Kael stood beside him, arms folded. "The journey will take a month. We’ll arrive just before the gathering begins."
He nodded, closing his eyes for a moment. One month. Enough time for knowing each other.
He then looked around as about fifty people were going for this gathering.
"Hello, everyone. Many among you didn’t seem to like me, and that’s alright, but since I am chosen to lead, it means you have to follow my commands."
The room fell silent. Many among the fifty warriors exchanged glances, some with indifference, others with mild irritation. A few, like Draven, still held traces of dissatisfaction in their gazes.
His expression remained calm as he continued. "I’m not concerned about your personal opinions. But if you think you can do better, then step forward now and prove it."
His voice carried no arrogance—just sheer confidence. A few warriors instinctively clenched their fists, but none moved. They might have different opinions, but now they wouldn’t be like Draven to be the first to cause trouble.
As no matter what, from the expression of the overseer, it was clear he was being supported by powerful old monsters and elders of Sky Tower, and they didn’t want to become targets of such strong ancient people.
Kael smirked slightly from the side, watching the scene unfold.
Seeing no one respond, Apollo continued. "Good. Since we’re all on the same ship, let’s not waste time with pointless tension."
"Let me introduce myself first; my name is Apollo, and I am the leader of this gathering."
His voice was steady, carrying an unshakeable authority. He didn’t shout, nor did he try to impress them with grand words, yet there was something undeniable in his tone—an absolute confidence that made even the most sceptical among them listen.
Some warriors remained silent, still measuring him, while others appeared more accepting after his earlier display of dominance.
Apollo then gestured around. "Before we go any further, I want to know who I’ll be working with. Introduce yourselves. Name, speciality, and anything I should know about your combat style. We have a month before we arrive, and I intend to use every moment to make sure we function as a true force, not just a group of individuals thrown together."
He leaned back slightly, waiting for their responses. "So, who’s first?"
His voice echoed in the ship, and then, after some hesitation, the first person stepped forward and introduced himself.
A tall, armoured figure stepped forward, his presence exuding the weight of countless battles. His deep-set eyes locked onto Apollo as he spoke.
"I am Garron, War General of the Titan Bloodline. Speciality battlefield command and my body are my strongest weapons."
His voice was rough and commanding, filled with the pride of a warrior who had earned his reputation through sheer strength. He crossed his arms, watching Apollo’s reaction.
The next person stepped up, a slender woman with piercing silver eyes and dark blue skin, her form wrapped in flowing robes embroidered with celestial symbols.
"Felene of the Voidborn. I specialise in spatial disruption, assassination."
Her tone was calm, almost detached, as if she viewed the gathering as nothing more than another mission.
One by one, the warriors introduced themselves. Each name carried weight, each speciality honed to perfection. Battle-hardened veterans, assassins, tacticians—this was not a group of ordinary fighters. They were the chosen elite of Sky Tower.
Finally, when the last warrior stepped back, all eyes returned to Apollo.
He nodded, his gaze sharp. "Good. Now that we know who we are, then you can go back to your respective rooms, and hopefully at the gathering of three universes, you will show everyone the strength of Sky Tower."
After the crowd left, only he and Kael were left. He started to think about all the people and their strength. Their strength isn’t weak, as there were five with Draven who reached eternal god realm.
One of which even seemed to have reached the middle stage of the eternal God realm. He was also the calmest person who, from the beginning to the end, didn’t show any emotion and even tried to hide his strength.
As for the rest, they weren’t weak, as twenty of them were true gods, while the rest were Void gods. The gathering wasn’t just about strong eternal gods but about everyone else; hence, they were all equally important.
But he was sure this wasn’t the best group of geniuses of Sky Tower; at most, it can be considered an elite group, which is also why he cannot understand what they are trying to do.
