Chapter 294: Sword Ascension Platform

Chapter 294: Sword Ascension Platform

The young god felt a bit surprised and couldn’t help but feel relieved. The moment Apollo came out of the realm, he felt he was extraordinary, and hence, he didn’t dare disrespect him even though he had a very powerful trump card.

But now his cryptic words shocked him more, making him feel he might be more mysterious than he thought. After some hesitation, he stepped forward and paid the required divine stones, and with a single breath, went in.

The crowd watched in stunned silence as the young Void God vanished into the portal, his decisive action leaving a heavy impression on those gathered.

"He actually went in...!"

"Is he insane?"

"No... He’s not reckless. He’s confident."

The murmurs grew, but no one else dared to follow. The fear of the unknown, coupled with the pressure Apollo had left behind, was enough to make even seasoned warriors hesitate.

Meanwhile, Apollo and Selena continued walking, unbothered by what had transpired behind them.

They returned to their ship in the Void Astral Station and were ready to take the portal to leave this place. He needed to find a place where he could complete his remaining two transformations to break through the Void God realm.

He was looking forward to what kind of strength he would achieve after becoming Void God.

The young man who asked Apollo about the realm seemed to be transported into a mysterious temple the moment he appeared.

The moment the young man’s feet touched the ground, a strange resonance filled the air. Ancient symbols glowed faintly on the temple walls, pulsing with an unknown power, as if recognising his presence.

His sharp eyes scanned his surroundings.

He wasn’t the only one. Across the shattered Sovereign’s Realm, others had also been transported to similar ancient sanctuaries, each holding secrets lost to time.

A deep voice echoed in his mind. "You have been chosen."

At that moment, countless runes surged into his body, disappearing between heaven and earth.

And when they all return after accepting all, they will definitely shock the universe.

At the void astral station, the spaceship of Apollo takes off. There’s not much here left to do; the members from the Sky Tower would take care of the most. And the realm gate will be opened for five years, and he wasn’t going to waste all his time here.

So, he decided to leave and travel the universe to find more interesting treasures or visit rare places to understand different rules. The space transfer portal in the Void Astral station was activated.

As the spaceship ascended and entered the space teleportation portal, the vastness of the cosmos stretched endlessly before the space tunnel. The cold, eternal void was silent, yet filled with infinite mysteries waiting to be uncovered.

Standing near the observation deck, he gazed at the swirling space images and distant celestial bodies that crossed through the void. His mind was already set—he had gained much from the broken Sovereign’s Realm, but it wasn’t enough. There was still more to seek, more to comprehend.

"Sword Rule..."

He especially wanted to focus on his swordsmanship to understand his Eternal Sword Rule. Understanding the sword rule can be said to be more difficult than most rules, not to mention what he wanted to understand about the Eternal Sword rule according to his sword aura, which is countless times more mysterious and difficult to understand.

Apollo’s gaze remained fixed on the void ahead. "There are places where swordsmen have left behind their wills, where blades carved the laws of existence itself. I need to find such a place... A true land of swords."

Serena nodded. She didn’t question him. And quickly searched through the places recorded and sorted out those places that are closer to them.

As the ship sped through the void tunnel, Serena swiftly navigated the ship’s interface, pulling up various records of legendary sword-related locations.

Her silver eyes flickered as she read through ancient texts, celestial maps, and restricted Sky Tower archives. Several places stood out—each one a land of myth, where the echoes of supreme swordsmen still lingered.

"There are three places worth considering," Serena spoke, glancing at Apollo.

"The first is the Sword Graveyard—a battlefield where countless swordmasters perished. Their lingering will have turned into sword aura storms that roam the land. Those who enter must endure the power of countless sword laws and rules, but if they manage to survive, their understanding of the sword will deepen."

"The second is the Edge of Nihility—a floating realm where a special space gap is left behind with the rule of ’cutting sword,’ which is said to be absolute."

"It was once ruled by a Supreme Sword Emperor who surpassed the eternal god realm and could see severed fate, space, and even time itself. However, no one has been able to seem to understand this sword rule for millions of years."

"The third is the Celestial Sword Monolith, located in the Forgotten Star Region. It is said to be a relic left behind by an unknown being who had comprehended the Sword Rule to the peak. Those who meditate before it may gain enlightenment... or be lost in it and be erased by its unfathomable will."

She finished her summary and looked at him. "Which one do you choose?"

Apollo tapped his fingers lightly on the armrest, deep in thought. All three places were dangerous, yet filled with opportunity.

Then, his lips curved into a faint smile. "Let’s start with the Celestial Sword Monolith."

Among the three, the closest one was the Celestial Sword monolith. Just this is enough for him.

The space portal through which they are moving leads them to Empyrean Void City in Mystic King Galaxy. And the Celestial Sword Monolith is also within this galaxy. Because of this, he didn’t have to wait a long time travelling.

And it is also a good place, as the monolith doesn’t contain just a single sword rule and law, but it is a gathering place for countless swordsmen who also left their sword aura and rules here for future generations.

The ship travelled through the void tunnel for a week, and during that time he continued to consolidate his strength as his strength again increased with the brand new understanding of the destruction rule. After more than a week of moving through the space tunnel, they finally saw the end.

As their ship emerged from the space portal, the vast expanse of Empyrean Void City stretched before them—a metropolis of floating islands bathed in a perpetual twilight glow, where towering spires pulsed with ethereal energy. It was the heart of the Mystic King Galaxy, a hub where ancient legacies and new legends intertwined.

Apollo stood at the observation deck, gazing down at the city as Serena manoeuvred their ship toward the docking station.

If they wanted to reach the forgotten star region, they needed to go through another short-distance space portal, but not everyone could go there; they first needed to go through a simple test to check if they were worthy swordsman.

Serena glanced at Apollo. "The test won’t be difficult for you, Lord, but it’s mandatory. Only those recognised as true swordsmen can enter the Celestial Sword Monolith in the Forgotten Star Region."

Apollo’s gaze remained on the city below. "Where is the testing ground?"

"The Sword Ascension Platform," Serena replied. "It’s located in the centre of Empyrean Void City. The test isn’t just about strength—it measures your sword aura and your comprehension of the sword’s essence. If your will isn’t strong enough, you won’t even make it past the first step."

Apollo’s lips curled slightly. "Interesting."

The ship docked smoothly at the station, and as they stepped out, they were immediately met with the sight of various lives from across the galaxy. Some were young geniuses with bright eyes and sharp gazes, while others were seasoned warriors, radiating sturdy, heavy auras.

He also noticed quite an exceptional number of swordsmen within the city, as it was a city that held the test for the Celestial Sword Monolith. So countless swordsmen came here to get the chance to visit.

Serena walked beside him, her expression calm as she took in the surroundings. "It seems even more people have come than we expected," she remarked. "The Celestial Sword Monolith truly draws swordsmen from all over the universe."

His gaze swept across the horizon, where at the city’s core, a towering structure loomed—the Sword Ascension Platform. He could feel its pull even from this distance, a silent yet overwhelming force that seemed to resonate with the sword laws.

"Let’s not waste time," he said, his eyes gleaming with anticipation. "Let’s go straight to the test."

"Yes, Lord." She nodded, and then they went straight towards the Sword Ascension Platform, where numerous swordsmen were going through tests.

As they approached the Sword Ascension Platform, Apollo could see hundreds of swordsmen gathered around, each radiating their own unique sword aura. The platform itself was an ancient construct—an enormous circular stage made of celestial stone, its surface etched with countless sword marks left behind by those who had come before.

The very air shimmered with the residual energy of the past, making it feel as if the wills of long-departed sword masters still lingered.
