Chapter 285: The Three Great Flame Lords joins the War
As he was about to slaughter a group of abyssal monsters, three powerful abyssal monsters with a strength of true god peak not much weaker than the previous behemoth surrounded him.
Now that he had shown his strength, he wasn’t going to be left alone, and a strong monster would stop him.
The three abyssal monsters with ferocity attacked him together without giving him a chance to breathe.
Apollo’s pupils shrank slightly as the three peak True God-level abyssal monsters lunged at him simultaneously, their attacks tearing through space itself.
One wielded a jagged black spear, its tip dripping with abyssal venom that corroded even the space.
Another was a hulking, four-armed brute, its fists the size of mountains, each strike carrying the force to shatter divine realms.
The last was a shadowy entity that shifted between shadow and darkness. Its eerie eyes locked onto Apollo like a predator savouring its prey.
BOOOOM!!!
Their combined assault descended upon him like the wrath of the Abyss itself.
But he vanished, leaving behind countless space mirror images, confusing the enemy and counterattacking.
With that, they started to confront the chaos without giving each other any time to grasp anything else. But this time the battle wasn’t going to end quickly. He may be individually stronger than each of the three but combined it was difficult for him to defeat the three together.
With that the war continued to go on; the aura of the Black Flame Sovereign realm also changed as the darkness from the abyss started to corrode the world. The battle continued for three days and nights.
The battlefield had long turned into a land of destruction, where space itself fractured under the sheer intensity of the war. The stench of blood, divine energy, and abyssal corruption saturated the air, forming a chaotic storm that refused to dissipate.
The skies darkened unnaturally. The abyssal taint, once merely a creeping presence, was now engulfing the heavens themselves. The corrupted aura spread like wildfire, staining the divine lands and twisting the very essence of the world.
And it seems the various leaders and big shots also feel the same, as it cannot go on. The abyss comes with full power with no intention to stop, as they seem to be ready to pay any price. So the strongest were ready to make their move.
Far away, standing atop the battlefield like gods of war, the leaders of the various forces of the Black Flame sovereign realms gazed at the abyssal tide with solemn expressions. The strongest beings in existence, those who had yet to interfere, could no longer remain still.
The Flame general, Flame lords, and the various Divine Flame clan rulers—the pillars of their world—had all reached the same conclusion.
This war could not go on.
The Abyss had come with full force, bringing an unprecedented army, one that cared nothing for casualties, willing to pay any price to drag the world into eternal darkness.
Now—
It was time for the strongest beings in existence to personally take action.
Various generals, supreme elders, and leaders from different clans in the Black Sovereign realm made their move with thunderous strength and even attacked the other side’s void to crack the abyss.
Boom! Bang! Boom! Bang!
A void crack, the very rift through which the abyssal army had poured into the world, suddenly became the target of an all-out assault. Supreme Elders and Clan Leaders struck without mercy, channelling divine arts and laws beyond comprehension.
The attack was a bit of a surprise and even caught one-third of the entire army from the abyss that infiltrated the realm. In an instant, millions of abyssal monsters or peculiar beasts were annihilated by the terrifying power of the strongest leaders.
Millions of monstrous entities vanished in a blinding storm of divine destruction.
Screeches of agony echoed across the battlefield. The abyssal creatures, twisted by endless malice, now writhed in unimaginable pain as they were torn apart by the retaliation.
From the distant void, Five Dark Void Knights maintained a cool, indifferent attitude as they didn’t make a move when the various leaders of different clans made their moves. From the beginning, their eyes seemed to be only on Flame Palace, where Black Sovereign was sitting calmly.
But even as their numbers fell—
The Abyss did not waver.
A terrifying presence began to rise from within the depths of the void crack. A power that made even the supreme leaders and Eternal Gods level commanders and other beings narrow their eyes.
A true catastrophe was about to descend. And another group seems to slowly walk out of the abyss. Although they were small in number, every single one of them seemed to have a world-destroying aura surpassing that of even Eternal Gods.
The battlefield fell silent.
Even in the midst of the carnage, even as divine flames burned the abyssal legions to ash—every warrior, every god, every supreme leader turned their gaze toward the abyssal void crack.
And from within it—they emerged.
A small group. No more than fifty.
But the very fabric of reality shuddered at their presence.
Each step they took sent ripples through existence itself. The air trembled, the ground quaked, and the very laws of the world warped under the sheer weight of their existence.
Their aura eclipsed even the Eternal Gods.
The abyss itself seemed to bow before them, the shadows twisting unnaturally at their feet.
One of them—a being clad in abyssal silver armour, its face obscured by an eerie, swirling void—lifted its head.
Two eyes, deep as the abyss itself, locked onto the battlefield.
Apollo, hovering high above, felt a sensation he hadn’t felt in a long time—the pressure of true dominance.
He clenched his fists. His half-god body trembled slightly, but his expression remained cold. The battle seemed to stop, and the three powerful Abyssal monsters that were attacking him stopped midway.
For three days and nights, he fought without rest. Even when facing three opponents at once, he maintained his overwhelming strength. He even managed to kill one of the three Peak True God-level Abyssal creatures that attacked him together.
But the number of such enemies was far from small here in the war. Soon, another Peak True God-level monster joined the battle, restoring the fight to its previous balance.
And now it seems the battle has reached the final phase, as even such mighty beings from both sides have made their appearance.
The silver-armored abyssal entity stood tall, abyssal energy surging around it like a living storm. Its words echoed across the ruined battlefield, its voice carrying a weight that made even Eternal Gods clench their fists. As the group that appeared were the Abyssal monarchs that rule various realms within the abyss.
"Enough playing. Come out, you three. I want to see how strong the legendary Flame Lords of the Black Flame Sovereign Realm truly are."
The abyssal monarch’s abyssal eyes locked onto the heart of Emberheart City, where three figures stood in silence.
For three days and nights, these three great Flame Lords had remained within the city, watching, observing, waiting. They were the pillars of this world, their power the very foundation upon which the Black Flame Sovereign Realm stood.
And yet, they had yet to make a move.
A sharp gust of wind swept across the battlefield.
The air grew heavy. The embers from the ongoing war flickered violently as if reacting to an unseen force.
Then—
BOOM!
The very flames that had been raging across the battlefield froze—then flared upward, becoming pillars of fire that reached into the heavens.
Three terrifying auras erupted at once.
It was as if the world itself had been set ablaze.
The city trembled. Space twisted. Even the abyssal void crack shuddered.
From within the depths of the City, three figures finally stepped forward.
—Three beings whose very existence made the air itself ignite.
The Three Great Flame Lords.
Their gazes were calm, yet their presence commanded all flames in existence. Their very steps left molten footprints in the air, and the sky itself burned in their presence. They had to come out as now the supreme powerhouse from both sides has appeared.
The Silver Abyssal Monarch grinned beneath his swirling void helm.
"Ah... finally." It exhaled, its abyssal power surging. "Let’s see if your flames can stand against the darkness of the Abyss."
The Silver Abyssal Monarch let out a deep, reverberating laugh, its voice like the whisper of the abyss itself—cold, boundless, and all-consuming.
The very air twisted under its rising power.
The abyssal energy around it boiled, expanding like an endless tide of darkness, devouring light, devouring space, devouring existence itself.
Its aura climbed—higher, higher—with no end in sight.
The battlefield trembled. The heavens darkened. The earth quaked.
A suffocating pressure descended, heavier than anything before. Even the mindless abyssal creatures froze, their instinct screaming at them to flee. The warriors of the Black Flame Sovereign Realm clenched their weapons tighter, sweat dripping from their foreheads.
Even the Eternal Gods present felt an uncontrollable shiver in their souls.
It was fear.
