Chapter 274: Three Great Flame Lords
Chapter 274: Three Great Flame Lords
He didn’t think about that, as the mysterious should be talking about his Eternal Sword aura. It had a very mysterious and unknown power and potential he felt the moment he understood it, so it wasn’t such a surprise for him if the entity right in front of him felt the same.
"Okay, I get it—senior observer, you understand most of this. But I don’t know who sent me here. And, truthfully, there’s no way in hell I wanted to come here. I had no choice. I need to meet the Black Flame Sovereign. It’s really important." Apollo paused, his tone sharpening with urgency. "You can guess how high the stakes must be."
The mysterious orb-like entity shimmered faintly at Apollo’s words, its radiance shifting as though it were considering his statement. When it spoke again, its voice carried a note of curiosity.
"Oh, I see you came for him; it makes sense, as he is really important. But since you came for him, could something have happened in the future?" It murmured and seemed to talk to himself, but every word of his surprised Apollo.
He although didn’t know what reason the system sent him here and what importance the Black sovereign had, this observer seemed to understand quite a lot just from his broken information.
"So, can I meet Sovereign? I came to this archive for that reason." He said, looking at the orb, hoping he could meet and alert him of upcoming danger.
The orb pulsed softly, its light dimming and brightening in rhythmic waves, as though considering Apollo’s request. When it spoke, its voice was calm.
"Hmm, usually he is sleeping in the core depth of the Black sovereign realm and awakens once in a million years. However, there are still hundreds of thousands of years before the million-year mark. It’s a bit troublesome.
"So, what he just needed to awaken earlier, what is troublesome about it?" Apollo couldn’t help but quickly say the words of the mysterious entity.
"You misunderstand, mortal," the entity said, its voice calm yet carrying a weight of untold knowledge. "The Black Flame Sovereign does not simply sleep. His slumber is an intricate balance, a cycle that ensures his powers remain stable and unyielding."
"To awaken him prematurely is to disrupt that cycle, and the consequences... could ripple and destroy most of the Black Sovereign realm, as his power is linked to the realm he himself created. And millions or billions of lives that were born here will die."
His expression changed as he heard the reason. But he could not wait a hundred thousand years, and he didn’t believe that this realm had that much time. Whatever danger is going to happen will happen quickly, maybe in a month or two or even weeks. Is it even possible that it might happen in a few hours?
Seeing the fucked-up expression of Apollo, the mysterious entity again said something. "Do not despair, mortal. While the task is perilous, it is not impossible. The Black Flame Sovereign left means and safeguards woven into the fabric of his creation. Among them are his three sons, each one imbued with a part of his essence."
"The three sons or the Flame Lords are the fragments of the Black Sovereign’s essence—each of them carrying a piece of his power, his will. To awaken the Sovereign prematurely without destroying the realm, you will need their help."
Apollo’s gaze snapped to the orb. "Three sons? Are they the three great Flame Lords talked about outside?"
"Yes, they are the ones. You just needed the help of these three, and since it seems whoever sent you here with such cost. It seems the situation is bad. I will help you to contact them."
His brows lifted slightly. "You’ll help me contact them?"
"Indeed," the orb replied. "I can act as a conduit to establish communication with the Flame Lords. But you still need to tell them."
He nodded, his expression hardening with determination. "I’m ready, senior. If you can connect me to them, I’ll handle the rest."
The orb dimmed for a moment, then flared brilliantly as it began to chant in a language that resonated with power.
As the mysterious orb’s chant reached a crescendo, he felt an overwhelming surge of energy surrounding him. The void that had been covering him moments ago shattered like fragile glass, and a brilliant light consumed his vision. His feet landed firmly on the ground, though it took a moment for him to steady himself.
When his eyes adjusted, he found himself standing at the base of a grand, imposing structure, the Flame Palace, at the centre of the realm.
The palace radiated an almost divine presence. Its towering walls were formed of what seemed to be molten lava solidified into unyielding stone. Veins of glowing fire ran through the architecture, pulsating like the lifeblood of the realm itself.
Some distance away from the majestic Flame Palace and closer to him were three flame towers with different kinds of flames and auras.
Apollo glanced around, taking in the sheer magnificence of the surrounding area. The heat in the air was stifling, even for someone like him who had developed considerable resistance to fire elemental forces. Rivers of molten fire flowed like streams around the palace, their glow illuminating the blackened earth.
"This tower is where the three little fellows live." The senior orb also appeared right beside him and said calmly.
At the orb’s words, Apollo raised an eyebrow, momentarily breaking his stoic expression. "Little fellows? You mean the Flame Lords?"
The orb shimmered faintly, a sound like faint laughter emanating from it. "Indeed. To you, they are titans of flame and power, embodiments of the Black Sovereign’s will. But to him—"the orb’s light flickered toward the palace"—"they are merely his children, fledglings created to govern in his stead."
His gaze shifted from the awe-inspiring palace to the three flame towers in the distance. Each tower exuded a distinct aura, the flames atop them flickering in hues that mirrored their power—crimson, azure, and gold.
The sheer energy radiating from the structures was palpable, making the air around him feel heavier, denser, and filled with the mystery of fire law.
The Crimson Tower seemed to radiate uncontrollable fury, its flames roaring and crackling with barely restrained aggression. The Azure Tower, in contrast, shimmered with an almost hypnotic calmness, its ethereal fire swirling like water.
The Golden Tower stood as an immovable sentinel, its flames steady and unwavering, exuding an aura of unyielding protection.
As he was looking at the three towers filled with mysterious and ethereal power, the towers also felt something and seemed to awaken some terrifying beings who noticed his presence in this sacred land.
The ground beneath him trembled, and the flames atop the palace spires flared brighter. A deafening voice boomed from within the palace, reverberating through the entire realm.
"Who dares step foot in the sacred grounds of the Flame Palace without permission?"
The sheer force of the voice caused the world to tremble and Apollo’s heart to skip a beat, but he steadied himself, refusing to show weakness. He also exploded with all his strength, whether it was soul, spirit, or body; he didn’t hold back to face the oppressive world-destroying auras that appeared.
The air around him crackled with energy, and the ground beneath his feet seemed to stabilize under his sheer will.
"Stop it; I brought the mortal kid here." The mysterious senior orb released his aura to stop.
Boom!
Hearing his voice, the trembling aura seemed to calm down a bit, and slowly from the three towers, three figures came out.
The aura of destruction slowly receded as the senior orb’s voice carried a weight that even the oppressive energy dared not challenge. The trembling earth stilled, and the crackling air around Apollo became less volatile. The overwhelming pressure began to ease, though the remnants of its intensity lingered like a storm just barely held back.
From the Crimson Tower, a fiery figure emerged, his steps igniting the ground beneath him with every movement. The Crimson Flame Lord stood tall and menacing, his form engulfed in roaring flames that seemed barely contained by his humanoid shape. His eyes blazed like molten lava, radiating an aura of unbridled aggression.
From the Azure Tower, a fluid and graceful figure appeared. The Azure Flame Lord exuded an ethereal serenity, their form shimmering as if made of liquid fire.
Their presence was calming yet carried an undercurrent of immense, unrelenting power. The blue flames that surrounded them moved like waves, ever-shifting but never chaotic.
Finally, from the Golden Tower, a radiant figure stepped forth. The Golden Flame Lord’s body glowed with a steady and unyielding brilliance, their flames golden and pure, exuding an aura of protection and steadfast resolve.
Apollo calmly looked at the three great flame lords, all imposing, powerful, and mysterious. But what caught his eye was the flame lord with the golden flame. He felt weird looking at the golden flames that were quite similar to the golden sun flames that he got in the archive, but at the same time, it was different.
