Chapter 261: Dangers and Chances
The monstrous creature bellowed, its roar reverberating through the cracked and fiery landscape, a harbinger of the chaos to come. The molten lava that comprised its body surged, stretching like a living wave. One of its massive arms, a grotesque appendage of flowing magma, extended unnaturally, aiming straight for Apollo.
The lava hand expanded as it moved, a tsunami of molten destruction that glowed with an intensity far surpassing the hottest flames Apollo had ever encountered. The sheer heat distorted the space, creating rippling mirages that danced around the oncoming onslaught.
"Come, bring it on," Apollo muttered, his voice calm but tinged with a thrill of battle. He stood his ground with blood-boiling energy despite the realm’s suppressive aura.
He clenched his fist and punched with all his might towards the incoming tsunami of lava filled with an aura of flames and destruction.
Apollo’s fist surged forward, a blur of raw power and defiance. The air around his strike shimmered with the sheer force of his motion, and a faint shockwave rippled outward even before his punch connected.
BOOOM!
The impact was cataclysmic. Apollo’s punch collided with the molten wave, generating an explosion of energy and heat that shook the ground beneath his feet, creating a large crater. The lava recoiled from the sheer force, parts of it being blasted apart and raining down as glowing embers.
The shockwave of the collision sent cracks spidering across the already scorched terrain, and the molten ground beneath him buckled as if bowing to the intensity of the clash. The oppressive aura of the realm seemed to twist and ripple, momentarily disrupted by the strength of his attack.
Apollo stood firm, his fist still extended, steam rising from his arm as the remnants of the lava tsunami splashed harmlessly around him. His divine body, tempered by years of lunar essence honing his physical strength, seemed impervious to the destructive heat.
The molten creature let out a deafening roar, clearly enraged. Its massive form recoiled momentarily before surging forward again, this time pouring more of its fiery essence into its attack.
The molten lava around it bubbled violently, and its massive arm formed into a spear-like structure, aiming to pierce through Apollo with concentrated destruction.
"Not bad," Apollo muttered, lowering his fist and flexing his fingers. A smirk played across his lips as he shifted his stance. "Better than an ordinary Void God, but that’s it."
He moved, and with unimaginably fast speed, he rushed towards the lava creature. With his boiling body, he launched hundreds of punches, each filled with his raw physical power and the lunar law of freezing.
Bang! Bang! Bang!...
The air cracked with the sheer force of his blows, and each strike sent shockwaves that rippled through the molten creature’s massive form. The fiery heat of the lava clashed violently with the icy energy of the Lunar Law, creating explosive bursts of steam and fog that engulfed the battlefield.
Szz! Szz!
The creature roared in fury and agony, its molten body fracturing under the relentless assault. Chunks of lava broke off, cooling rapidly under the influence of Apollo’s freezing energy and falling to the ground as hardened diamonds.
Despite the realm’s suppressive aura, Apollo’s punches grew fiercer, his movements more precise. The molten creature tried to retaliate, flailing its massive arms and unleashing bursts of fiery destruction, but it was no match for the speed and power of Apollo’s relentless attack.
With each strike, the creature’s form weakened, its once-mighty aura flickering like a dying flame. Finally, with a final, earth-shattering punch, Apollo drove his fist straight into its head.
BOOM!
The creature’s body exploded outward in a violent burst of molten lava and steam, its fiery essence extinguished by the overwhelming force of Apollo’s Lunar Law. The battlefield fell silent, save for the sound of cooling lava cracking and the faint hiss of steam dissipating into the air.
He sighed and stood thinking about the battle. Although the strength of the lava creature wasn’t too strong, it still took much effort to kill it.
Currently, his divine energy and spiritual strength are suppressed at ninety per cent, and these creatures are a bit hard to kill as if he faced an ordinary void god, it would have taken some attacks to kill it, but it took him hundreds of such attacks. They were just difficult to kill because of were semi-elemental creatures.
Even if they were just simple attacks, they still consumed divine energy, which is frankly the most important thing here. If he were surrounded by dozens or more such creatures, the best thing would be to run away instead of wasting his strength.
He glanced at his hands, noting the faint shimmer of residual lunar energy fading away. He cannot replenish his energy on his own, but thankfully he brought a large number of divine stones, which for now should be enough. After using hundreds of divine stones and taking a few minutes to absorb them, he felt better.
Letting out a heavy sigh, Apollo turned his gaze toward the horizon, where the faint, ominous glow of another challenge or treasure awaited.
He knew he had to conserve his strength, pick his battles wisely, and find ways to adapt to the realm’s suppressive nature. Not to mention these lava creatures, just the normal creatures are far more dangerous than them.
With that, he started moving forward, his steps deliberate and cautious as he prepared for whatever lay ahead in this unforgiving realm.
On different corners of the Infernal destruction realm, Serena and the first group from Sky Tower also started their journey and started to face different dangers.
Serena walked through the desolate, purgatory-like landscape of the Infernal Destruction Realm with her usual calm demeanour. Her steps were light, yet they carried an unmistakable authority as if the land itself dared not harm her.
Suddenly, the ground trembled slightly beneath her feet, and from cracks in the molten earth, a swarm of grotesque lizard-like creatures erupted. Their burning, molten skin glowed ominously, and their reptilian eyes burned with primal aggression.
Each one exuded an aura far beyond ordinary creatures, with many at the strength of Half-Gods and several reaching the level of Void Gods.
The creatures hissed and roared, their combined presence creating a deafening cacophony. They surged toward Serena like a tidal wave, their claws sharp enough to rend divine flesh, their fiery breath capable of melting divine metals.
Yet Serena didn’t flinch.
Her cold gaze swept over the horde, her expression one of mild curiosity rather than fear. As the first lizard lunged at her with blinding speed, she raised a single delicate finger.
"Insignificant," she murmured.
With a flick of her wrist, an invisible wave of energy rippled outward.
Boom!
The lead lizard disintegrated mid-air, reduced to ash before it could even touch her. The shockwave from her simple movement sent dozens more creatures hurtling backwards, their molten forms splattering like liquid metal against the ground.
The remaining lizards hesitated but only for a moment. Driven by instinct—or perhaps the corruptive influence of the realm—they roared in unison and charged once more.
Serena sighed, the faintest hint of annoyance crossing her face. "So persistent," she muttered.
Raising her hand, she formed a small orb of condensed energy. It glowed with a pale, silver light—an unusual contrast to the fiery landscape.
Whoosh!
"Annihilation."
Instantly, in the blink of an eye, miles of miles surrounding her disintegrated; even those lizards who can remain alive after most of their bodies are torn off and survive unimaginable heat turned into dust.
Without sparing another glance back at her attackers, she continued her journey to find Apollo, as her mission was to protect him. Her steps remained calm and unhurried, each one a testament to her absolute confidence.
Similar things happened all over the Infernal Destruction realm, where some survived and destroyed whatever they faced, and some unlucky ones quickly lost their lives in such quick succession.
They met something terrifying like the Infernal Lords, whose strength not only surpassed most True Gods, but they were practically immortal within the Infernal Destruction Realm.
Each Infernal Lord was a walking catastrophe, their every step reshaping the landscape, their presence radiating an aura so oppressive it could crush weaker beings into oblivion.
Slowly but steadily, one after another, a group of people from the universe started to appear and face different challenges. Some were lucky and landed in some safe place or near some kind of treasure, while some unlucky ones lost their lives the moment they landed, showing how the unfair universe is.
One Void God from a distant star cluster landed near a slumbering Infernal Lord. His strength was formidable, but as the creature stirred, his confidence evaporated. The towering entity’s gaze alone sent tremors of dread through his soul, and within moments, he was engulfed in flames and despair, with final cries lost to the roaring inferno.
Elsewhere, a young prodigy hailed as the hope of their galaxy landed near an ancient shrine hidden within a crater. The shrine emanated a faint, protective aura that shielded them from the realm’s oppressive atmosphere. Within, he discovered a fragment of knowledge, a piece of information that hinted at the realm’s origins and its ultimate purpose.
