Chapter 236: Body refining
[Law- Lunar Ice (60%), Star(50%) Death (59%), Devour (33.94%), Five-Elements (59%), Space (59%)]
He looked at the law section on the system panel and could not help but feel great. Although Lunar Ice Law reached just sixty per cent, it is a brand new level that has stopped countless saints for their entire lives, making them unable to reach it.
It wasn’t simple, as in just a year he completely understood the Lunar law and pushed it forward to new heights, even though he had the help of the Lunar Core. It was something that needed a hundred years, but he did it in a year.
The Lunar Ice Law at 60% wasn’t just an increment; it represented a transition into a new realm of understanding.
He also understood the rare law of stars to domain level within the year. Stars, the core of countless celestial systems, symbolized creation and destruction, embodying infinite energy and power. Apollo’s ability to grasp and elevate such a complex law so rapidly was a testament to his unparalleled comprehension and talent.
"One year," Apollo murmured, his voice filled with quiet pride. "A single year to reach heights that others could only dream of in lifetimes."
Despite his satisfaction, Apollo’s gaze soon hardened with resolve. He knew this was only the beginning. The road ahead was fraught with challenges that would demand even greater understanding, strength, and willpower.
"The foundation is laid," he thought, clenching his fist, the silver glow of his aura pulsing faintly. "Now, it’s time to build upon it." He had already reached the peak of the saint realm, and now he needed to prepare for the next breakthrough, which is a very important stage for his future path.
The laws he wielded were his weapons, and he intended to sharpen them further, so then he could achieve a perfect breakthrough towards the path of godhood.
But it wasn’t easy as it became harder and harder to improve laws as they reached a higher stage, not to mention he needed to breakthrough in strong laws like space, death, and five-element laws.
And the fact they weren’t the most troublesome thing, but the breakthrough in swordsmanship was the main problem, as it not only needed the understanding of other laws in the high state but needed to combine with his swordsmanship understanding to break through the ’Sword World’ stage.
He understood the enormity of this endeavour. Unlike cultivating laws, which could be bolstered by resources like the Lunar Core, achieving Sword World demanded something more intangible—insight born of battle, solitude, and relentless pursuit as it was his own creation.
But he was working hard for a year and even moved much, so today, after a year, he was going to look around the place. Although the place where he was staying was a pavilion, it was extremely big—bigger than most cities in Rion and was filled with many strong warriors from different places.
Not to mention other places on the lunar star moon are connected through a teleportation portal to move around. Since he had completed his initial goal, he was going to visit all these places, as they were now under him and were his responsibility.
"It’s time to explore what I’ve been entrusted with," Apollo murmured as he stood at the centre of the pavilion’s grand hall.
He activated the token, which was connected to all runes on the Lunar Star Moon. A faint glow enveloped him as he vanished from the pavilion, reappearing moments later at the gateway to another region of the Lunar Star Moon.
The air felt alive, charged with a feral intensity that Apollo had not encountered near the serene Lunar Core. The violent lunar energy here lashed out unpredictably, like a storm trapped in a bottle, making the environment feel both thrilling and oppressive.
The crystalline landscapes shimmered under the eternal starlit sky, their jagged edges refracting light into dazzling, chaotic patterns that mirrored the untamed energy around them.
This was a stark contrast to the tranquil stability of the central pavilion, where the Lunar Core exuded a steady, meditative flow of energy. Here, the lunar energy seemed to roar, as if it were a ferocious beast, resisting any attempt to control or comprehend it.
Apollo paused, his gaze sweeping across the alien beauty of the terrain. He could feel the difference not just in the environment but in his very being—the energy here pushed against his own, testing his control and understanding.
He recalled the information he had studied about this place. This region of the Lunar Star Moon wasn’t always this chaotic. It had been used for eons to imprison and contain Star Beasts, powerful and ferocious entities born from the cosmos.
These beasts were creatures of pure destruction, their violent natures imprinted on the very fabric of the land. Over millions of years, their presence had warped the environment, saturating it with an uncontrollable, cosmic force that even the ancient formations of the Lunar Star Moon struggled to control.
He stepped forward, feeling the wild lunar energy claw at his aura. Absorbing or understanding such energy would be a monumental challenge even for him. Yet he recognized the potential it held—if he could harness this energy, his control over the Lunar Ice World and his mastery of the Lunar Law would reach unprecedented heights.
Not to mention there are other benefits, as these rough energies are the best kind of energy to temper the flesh and bones. Even though his body is strong as a half-god, he still feels the tingling sensation in his body.
There’s even a dedicated place for body refining here called ’Starlight Tower.’ The tower, renowned throughout the Sky Tower, was a legendary location for body refinement. By channelling the intense lunar energy and the concentrated power of starlight, it offered an unparalleled environment to temper the flesh, bones, and even the very cells of a cultivator’s body.
So there were quite a few warriors from Sky Tower who were there, and every one of them was strong. The weakest he saw was a half-god, and they weren’t ordinary half-gods but extremely strong half-gods that he wasn’t sure to defeat.
Apollo quickly made his way towards the Starlight Tower. He had read about it before, but seeing it with his own eyes was another matter entirely.
The tower rose majestically in the distance, its surface shimmering with radiant starlight that seemed alive, constantly shifting and pulsing in tune with the lunar energy surrounding it. Faint runes carved into its exterior glowed faintly, ancient inscriptions designed to channel and amplify the energy within.
As he approached the Starlight Tower, the atmosphere grew heavier. He felt the combined pressure of lunar energy and starlight intensify, pressing down on him like a mountain. Even with his strength, he couldn’t completely ignore the weight. It was clear why this place was considered a treasure, even for gods.
One warrior caught his attention—a towering figure clad in simple, battle-worn armour. His every step seemed to shake the ground, and the faint scars crisscrossing his body shimmered with divine energy. Apollo’s sharp intuition told him that even among Half-Gods, this individual was extraordinary.
"Even the weakest here are monsters," Apollo murmured, his tone both serious and intrigued. These warriors had likely spent years, decades, or even centuries refining their bodies in this place, and here he was, prepared to stand among them.
"This energy will carve strength into my bones and flesh, and the Starlight Tower will forge me anew," he resolved, stepping toward the entrance.
He then calmly went into the starlight tower, as he was the current lord; he didn’t need to pay any sky points, and directly entered and appeared in a large empty space filled with terrifying concentrated lunar energy and starlight.
As Apollo stepped into the Starlight Tower, a sudden wave of pressure greeted him, making the air feel almost tangible. The lunar energy and starlight were so concentrated that they seemed to weave through the space like shimmering threads.
For an ordinary warrior, just standing in this environment would be a challenge, but Apollo’s eyes shone with quiet determination as he moved forward, completely unbothered.
The interior of the tower was vast; ancient runes glimmered along the layer of space, pulsing in rhythm with the energies coursing through the space.
Apollo noted the distinct layers of energy. The lunar energy, wild and ferocious, seemed to lash out like a raging tempest, constantly testing the durability of the body.
Meanwhile, the starlight was calmer, its brilliance gently seeping into the pores, nourishing and purifying. Together, these energies formed a perfect balance of destruction and regeneration—a haven for those seeking to push their physical limits.
His gaze swept across the expanse until it landed on an area where the energy seemed particularly volatile. A bright strand of lunar energy crackled in the air like miniature lightning storms, and beams of concentrated starlight descended like pillars from the ceiling, forming pools of energy so dense that he could feel the terror from far away.
He immediately understood it was the starlight pool and the place where he could improve his divine physique, which hadn’t improved much since his major breakthrough in the saint realm.
