Chapter 219: Five Continents Gathered Together

Chapter 219: Five Continents Gathered Together

They gathered at his residence, which was among the best. He was one of the twenty trialists who had become three-star Sky Marked trialists. His residence resembled an entire world, complete with a small forest and a river.

Rumours about the upcoming big event had already been spreading for the past few days, so most of them were prepared—though not as thoroughly as Apollo, who had known for months and was fully ready.

As the hours crept by, the city seemed to pulse with a hidden energy, a hum that grew louder with each passing moment. Just as anticipation began to turn into impatience, a powerful tremor rippled through the entire city, followed by a surge of mystic energy that resonated throughout Sky Tower.

A radiant glow bathed the city, infusing the air with an otherworldly light. Apollo’s heart quickened as the energy built around him, thick with ancient power. Every trialist could feel it—the sense that the very fabric of reality was shifting, bending to reveal a hidden layer of existence. This was unlike any other sensation he’d felt; it was as if the tower itself were calling, resonating with his very soul.

He shared a glance with others who seemed equally captivated by the overwhelming presence that filled the sky. Even Pussy King, who had rarely shown any reaction to the city’s wonders, showed surprised expression. The energy flowed over them like a river, stirring something primal within their spirits.

Without warning, a powerful voice echoed through Sky City, reverberating like a wave across the towers and spires. It spoke in a language that transcended words, carrying meaning directly into the minds of the listeners.

"To all who have persevered... who have earned their place... the path to the Inner Sanctum is now revealed. Step forward, brave souls, and embrace the destiny."

At that moment, a massive structure began to materialise in the centre of Sky City—a gate of cosmic proportions crafted from light and shadow, as though drawn from the depths of the universe itself. Runes and ancient symbols glimmered across its surface, pulsing with the power of laws Apollo couldn’t fully comprehend.

This was the entrance to the Inner Sanctum, the heart of Sky Tower, where only the most worthy would be allowed entry.

But from within the inner sanctum, three figures emerged, and the moment they appeared, everyone in Sky City felt an overwhelming force—many even collapsed as a powerful aura erupted from their presence.

They were like suns; even from afar, all would be scorched by their intense heat.

The emergence of the three figures sent shockwaves through Sky City. They hovered above the entrance to the Inner Sanctum like celestial bodies—each radiating an aura so immense that the very air around them seemed to shimmer and warp.

Apollo struggled to keep his balance as the pressure mounted, and around him, other trialists dropped to their knees, unable to withstand the sheer magnitude of power.

Each figure glowed with an intensity that was almost blinding, their forms wrapped in swirling energies representing different laws.

The first radiated with the cold brilliance of an eternal winter, a biting chill that seemed to freeze space itself. The second figure blazed like a raging sun, flames licking around their form in a constant, swirling inferno. The third figure exuded an aura of void and death, shadows flickering around them, swallowing the light and casting an eerie silence.

Apollo’s instincts screamed at him to retreat, yet he stood his ground, mesmerised by their presence. He recognised that these figures were no ordinary beings—they were Void gods, perhaps even stronger.

In the month after gathering some points, he naturally used those points to learn more about the realm of half-gods.

The realms above half-gods are Void God, True God, and Eternal God.

To break through Void God, they needed to build a world inside them. It was no small wonder, then, that only a few reached such heights; the world within a Void God could be as vast as a kingdom, filled with self-sustaining realms and energies.

He remembered the texts stating that many of the mystical domains encountered by mortal warriors were remnants of these "secret worlds"—the last traces of long-perished Void Gods.

These three beings standing before him were likely Void Gods themselves—or perhaps even something beyond that. If they had built entire worlds within their bodies, their control over creation and destruction would be absolute.

The figure clad in ice momentary gaze fell upon him, and Apollo could feel the weight of eternity in their eyes, as though the figure’s inner world, filled with aeons of frozen landscapes, gazed back at him. But it was just for a moment, then it stopped.

The figure clad in ice aura calmed, statuesque stance as if the brief flicker of life within those ancient eyes had been merely an illusion. But Apollo knew it wasn’t.

The other two figures, one wreathed in shimmering flame and the other in an aura of crackling void energy, radiated their own oppressive power and also became calm.

The powerful aura subsidised, but the atmosphere remained heavy and difficult to breathe.

"This is the final test. If you manage to endure until the end, you will officially become a member of the Sky Tower, gaining numerous benefits and the chance to uncover the truth about the world."

Everybody felt a thrill run through them as the words sank in. This was it—the final step that would determine if they were worthy of the Sky Tower’s hidden truths and its vast power. All steeled themselves, feeling the gravity of the test, knowing that only a handful among thousands could claim victory in this ultimate trial.

Everyone silently continues to hear the words as the voice goes on.

"The last challenge is simple; you all just have to defeat ten opponents of similar strength."

"Ahh, defeating ten guys of similar strength seems not that difficult."

"Just that, it seems easy?"

Many such thoughts appeared in trialists minds who were confident in their strength, but they weren’t entirely morons and quickly understood that it must have a quirk.

"And your opponents will be the trialists from the other four continents of Rion. So good luck."

"What!"

Many were surprised, but they didn’t have time to think before they were directly teleported to the venue where all five continents would meet.

The figure emitting void divine energy watched the disappearing group of trialists and asked the figure cloaked in ice, "Do you think someone unexpected will appear this time?"

"Maybe. Rion has always been home to some terrifying monsters," it replied. Then the three figures also vanished, leaving Sky City empty.

On the other side, trialists found themselves in a massive, ancient coliseum stretching farther than the eye could see, bordered by towering stone walls engraved with symbols of each of Rio’s five continents. As they adjusted to their surroundings, the air thrummed with the energy of thousands of competitors gathered from the entire realm.

Every continent had brought forth its finest, each one a battle-hardened genius who had clawed their way through brutal trials.

A booming voice reverberated through the Colosseum, coming from an unseen source: "Trialists, prepare yourselves. Each of you will face ten opponents from rival continents. Each fight will begin as soon as your opponent is ready. You may choose when to rest, but be warned, only a maximum of three hours is allowed."

Apollo steadied his breathing, feeling the power and tension around him. His heart pounded with excitement and determination. And he wasn’t the only one; most of them were excited, whether it was the eastern, western, or northern and southern continents where various species roamed.

All the continents section seems to have a large number of trialists except the last and most mysterious fifth continent, Neckros, where only about a hundred trialists could be seen, and they were all wearing weird black cloaks that seemed familiar to him for some reason.

As Apollo glanced toward the section designated for the fifth continent, Neckros, a shiver ran down his spine. The trialists from that land were unlike any he’d encountered.

Clad in shadowy black cloaks, their figures seemed to blend with the air itself, almost as if they were extensions of the darkness surrounding them. Their presence felt like a distant echo, both foreign and oddly familiar, stirring something deep within him.

A strange silence hung over the Neckros section. While trialists from the other continents exuded fierce energy, ready to demonstrate their prowess, the figures from Neckros stood motionless, their faces obscured by hoods. Their calmness was unsettling—unfazed, making it more creepier.

Curiosity gnawed at him. These figures seemed to resonate with a similar energy to his Death Law, only more untamed and eerie.

The booming voice interrupted his thoughts, issuing instructions for the first round. A flickering light appeared in the middle of the colosseum, pulling first-group trialists from each continent into individual combat arenas. The energy of the stadium buzzed and shifted, tension rising.
