Chapter 185: Space Domain
Chapter 185: Space Domain
Apollo had already consolidated his strength at the peak of the third rank in both mage and warrior paths. For most, breaking through to the fourth rank would be a complicated and gruelling process, but for him, it was merely a natural progression of strength. His journey had been marked by smooth breakthroughs without much struggle, thanks to his extraordinary talent.
In fact, Apollo had never experienced any real difficulty in advancing through the ranks throughout his life. His talents bordered on the absurd, and now, at the young age of fifteen, he was on the verge of stepping into the revered Grandmaster rank.
This was a feat that would be unimaginable for most, but for Apollo, it felt almost inevitable.
The fourth rank is also a breaking point for any transcendent path towards divinity. Not only did it need to have a strong physique and spirit, but it also needed to understand at least a single law to break through.
This wasn’t a problem for him, as not only did he understand multiple laws, but he even reached quite a high level in most of them. He needed just a strong source of energy and a day or two, and he could begin the breakthrough process immediately.
Looking up at the sky of Sky City, a smirk tugged at the corner of his lips. The trials of others—struggling to comprehend laws, pushing their bodies and spirits to their limits—seemed almost distant memories compared to his own smooth journey.
For now, he needed to prepare. The energy sources in Sky City were abundant, and finding one strong enough to assist his breakthrough wouldn’t be difficult. He even felt the new designated place with Two Star Sky Mark was enough for ordinary third rank to breakthrough fourth rank, but since he isn’t an ordinary one, he didn’t think of breaking through there.
The Energy Core Room seemed like the perfect place to meet all of Apollo’s needs for his breakthrough, but it came with a hefty price. A single day in the Energy Core Room cost 300 Sky points, and given that he would need at least two days, it meant a total cost of 600 points.
Though Apollo had amassed a decent amount of Sky points, spending such a large portion at once was something he had to consider carefully. The benefits were undeniable, as the room would provide the optimal environment for him to take the next step in his cultivation.
After weighing the pros and cons, he knew that the investment would be worth it for the breakthrough he was on the verge of achieving.
But before that, he was going to visit the temple of law again, and he wanted to increase his understanding of the law of space. After feeling the teleportation many times, he had increased his insight on space law somewhat, but it was in no way close to the domain level.
Apollo knew that the higher his comprehension of the laws during his breakthrough to the Fourth Rank, the more profound the changes in his strength and abilities would be.
Out of the laws he was cultivating, only one space law had yet to reach the domain level, and he knew that improving his understanding of space law before his breakthrough would significantly enhance the transformation.
As it wasn’t a simple law, but one of the strongest laws, the Space Law. He was determined to maximize his potential, knowing that breakthroughs like this were rare opportunities to elevate his power to new heights.
With that, after deciding what to do, he immediately went towards the Temple of Law, as this time he wanted to improve his space law to the level of domain, then with just space domain, he can be considered invincible among the saints.
Apollo wasn’t going to leave until he comprehended the Space Domain. Determined, he made his way to the central district, navigating through one of the many teleportation portals scattered across Sky City.
By now, he had realized that Sky City wasn’t just a massive hub for trialists but also a place brimming with secrets, ancient connections, and ties that stretched deep into the history of the Eastern Continent and the entire world of Rion.
His mind buzzed with the mysteries he had uncovered, but he didn’t let himself get distracted. The building he approached was shrouded in a strange aura, covered in symbols and carvings that defied his understanding, exuding an air of ancient power. He entered without hesitation and was once again teleported, this time emerging in front of the grand temple.
Standing before him was the same old guardian, a stoic figure marked by a single eye-shaped symbol on his forehead, silently watching over the entrance just like before.
Apollo nodded respectfully, as the guardian was one of the mysterious and strongest people he had seen, because he felt a kind of similar feeling to the god Anaric, as both of them made him feel like an ordinary person without any ounce of energy or aura.
He went in after saying some words, and the old guardian didn’t stop him. He quickly appeared in the empty dimension with a single futon floating ahead.
With a deep breath, Apollo sat cross-legged on the futon, allowing his mind to settle. And dive into the mysterious world of laws. The futon was surrounded by a gentle, mysterious, yet overwhelming aura that seemed to envelop him, creating a cocoon of tranquillity and focus.
His senses sharpened, and he found himself slipping into a deep meditative state. The world outside faded away, and all that remained was the connection between his mind and the essence of the laws.
At that moment had a feeling that he almost had merged with the laws; his mind started to intercept the various laws and seemed to become one with them. But his focus was on the space laws, which were one of the mysterious fields of laws that are present almost everywhere.
Gradually, Apollo found himself in an infinite, void-like world, where silence reigned and the vast emptiness stretched in every direction. There was no ground beneath his feet, no sky above him—just an endless expanse that felt both boundless and suffocating.
As he drifted within this space, he began to sense something profound. Layer upon layer of space unfolded before him, each one brimming with hidden mysteries. Some layers shimmered like fragile veils, while others felt dense and impenetrable, holding deeper secrets.
Apollo’s mind quickly latched onto the sensation, as if the layers themselves were inviting him to explore their depths. Each fragment of space was unique, revealing subtle shifts in the laws governing distance, gravity, and dimension. The more he focused, the more he could feel how space twisted, bent, and folded upon itself in ways that defied normal perception.
Lost in this sea of mysteries, Apollo surrendered to the flow of comprehension, allowing himself to be fully immersed in the complex patterns of space. Time ceased to matter—there was only the pursuit of understanding, and he dove deeper into the layers of space, unravelling their secrets one by one.
In his focused state, Apollo’s mind worked like a finely tuned machine, peeling back the layers of space with methodical precision. Each revelation expanded his comprehension, allowing him to glimpse deeper into the fabric of reality. The mysteries of space, which had once seemed elusive, now began to unfold with startling clarity.
His understanding of the Space Laws surged—6%, 8%, 11%—and with every milestone, he felt closer to the truth of the domain. Time became irrelevant; there was only his relentless pursuit of mastery.
Suddenly, in a moment that seemed both unexpected and inevitable, a barrier shattered within his mind. He could feel the shift as he unknowingly crossed the threshold, his comprehension reaching a staggering 30%. Apollo had broken through to the Space Domain.
The feeling was overwhelming, as though the very essence of space had opened its arms to him, offering its deepest mysteries. He could sense the pulse of space itself, the way it bent, folded, and connected worlds.
At that moment, he was surrounded by a mysterious, invisible domain of space. Though he sat right there, any warriors in his presence would have felt an immense distance between them, as if he were miles away.
But he didn’t immediately open his eyes. The space domain around him continued to grow, becoming larger and more mysterious with every passing second. Finally, it stopped expanding, and Apollo opened his eyes.
[Space Law: 45%]
Looking at the increase in his almost catching up to the law of death, he couldn’t help but be happy. As of now, with his new space domain, his strength has improved, not to mention his life-saving ability has increased many times. Even Half-God will find it difficult to stop him from running away if they cannot kill him instantly.
He didn’t stay anymore, as every minute cost him ten sky points, and he needed to go to the Energy Core Room, so a large number of points were needed.
