Chapter 180: Annihilation

Chapter 180: Annihilation

Outside the Abyssal Scar, numerous warriors gathered as large warships arrived one after another, packed with countless fighters ready for battle. High above, the strongest among them floated in the sky, their eyes locked onto the dark, foreboding aura that cloaked the Abyssal Scar like impenetrable armour.

With grim determination, they unleashed world-shattering attacks, each strike powerful enough to flatten mountains. Yet, their efforts seemed futile—the dark aura absorbed or deflected every assault, leaving their path stubbornly sealed.

"Damn! We can’t get inside. What are we supposed to do? If this continues, that being will fully regain its strength, and then it will be catastrophic for us." One of the strongest warriors from an ancient force, an ancestor who had arrived first, exclaimed in frustration.

His eyes were filled with urgency, recognizing the impending disaster that loomed if they failed to break through.

Slowly, with time, more and more unfathomable guys started to appear, tearing through space, and shrouding the world with heaven-shaking auras.

Within the Abyssal Scar, God Anaric’s strength continued to swell, his power rising ominously.

"Hmm, even after ten thousand years, your determination for revenge hasn’t weakened. Very well," he mused, his voice carrying an ancient, icy authority. "Since you remain steadfast, I shall grant you the chance for your revenge."

With a mere gesture, God Anaric pointed his finger at the Blood King. A narrow beam of light shot forth, piercing into the Blood King’s body. Instantly, he erupted with unimaginable power. His aura surged violently, shattering previous limits and even breaking through a barrier that marked the threshold of a peak half-god.

The space around him shattered, and he seemed to have been reborn, his entire physique and aura seemed to have changed as it was now filled with a transcendent feel.

Whether it was Apollo, Kaleb, the Void Witch, or even the Demon King, they all stood in stunned silence, eyes wide with disbelief. God Anaric had just elevated the Blood King to a level above half-god with a mere flick of his finger as if it were nothing more than child’s play.

The impossibility of it all rattled them. To create a being of such immense power in mere moments was beyond anything they had ever known or even imagined. Questions raced through their minds: How strong is this god? What kind of power does he truly possess?

This was power far beyond their comprehension, something that shook the very foundations of their understanding of strength and magic.

Outside the Abyssal Scar, the true rulers of this world—the pure dragon race—finally appeared. Their numbers were few, barely over a hundred, but each one radiated an aura of immense power, rivalling the might of the Blood King even before his recent transformation.

Among them, ten dragons stood out, their presence far surpassing the others. Each of these ten possessed an aura that exceeded that of a half-god, indicating they were among the pinnacle of power in this world. However, it was their leader who truly commanded attention.

In a semi-human form, a perfect blend of dragon and human features, his towering presence seemed to shoulder the sky itself. His very aura crackled with raw power, hinting at an unfathomable strength.

As his sharp, golden eyes gazed toward the Abyssal Scar, the air around him trembled, and those beneath him couldn’t help but feel an instinctual fear. This was a force that could not be ignored.

"Activate Ancestor’s power."

The half-dragon-formed leader immediately seemed to crush something and activate some hidden power.

Boom!

"Hmm, within the Abyssal Scar, God Anaric felt something and looked at the remaining dragon statue, whose eyes suddenly started to glow with green light.

Within the Abyssal Scar, an eerie silence descended as God Anaric’s gaze fixed on the glowing eyes of the last dragon statue. "Ah, so the dragons finally choose to interfere... Is it your last card? How amusing."

In response, the statue began to tremble violently. The green light within its eyes expanded, forming intricate patterns that spread across its stony surface. Ancient runes emerged, glistening with a radiant brilliance that rivalled the sun. Slowly, the statue started to crack, releasing bursts of energy that reverberated through the entire region and seemed to come alive.

A huge green-scaled dragon hundreds of meters long seems to appear ahead of him, shaking the entire Abyssal Scar with its aura.

The colossal dragon, its scales glistening with an emerald hue, loomed high above, casting a shadow that swallowed the entire Abyssal Scar. Its eyes, the same vivid green that had once glowed from the statue, now radiated ancient wisdom and fury. As it emerged from the cracks of the statue, its very presence caused the air to vibrate with an ominous energy.

A low, rumbling growl emanated from its throat, growing in intensity until it became a deafening roar that shook the world around them. The sound surged like a tidal wave, crashing through the land.

Inside the Scar, God Anaric watched the dragon’s appearance with a glimmer of amusement in his hollow eyes. "So, you’ve awakened the remnants of the Ancestor Dragon’s power to stand against me," he mused, his voice carrying both mockery and a hint of admiration.

The dragon’s gaze locked onto God Anaric, a piercing stare filled with unyielding defiance. Its body radiated a celestial aura that countered the darkness seeping from Anaric, forming an invisible boundary between them.

Apollo, Kaleb, Alyona and other trialists felt the intensity of the dragon’s presence in their bones. Not only them but the entire living beings within the Abyssal Scar felt crushed as their auras collided.

With a slow, deliberate motion, Anaric extended his arms outward, his expression cold and commanding. From the depths of the Abyssal Scar, an unknown, malevolent aura began to surge forth, spreading rapidly like a dark mist. It exuded a sinister power that made the very air feel suffocating.

"What is this? What is happening? Noooooo!" The robber leader cried out, his voice quaking with panic. His subordinates, forced to the ground by the sheer pressure, trembled in terror. The dark aura swirled around them, its tendrils creeping into their bodies.

It greedily latched onto their life force, slowly draining away their vitality. They struggled, clawing at the earth in a desperate attempt to break free, but it was futile.

Apollo and the other trialists looked on in shock, their eyes wide with confusion. Unlike the robbers, they felt nothing from the dark aura. It washed over them like a gust of wind, leaving them untouched. Yet a sinister feeling lingered in the air, pressing down on their spirits.

The situation was even more dire for the Demon King and Void Witch. Horror painted their faces as they realized what was happening. They tried to move to escape the creeping aura but to no avail.

The dark power had locked them in place, immobilizing them as if they were trapped within invisible chains. No matter how much they struggled, their bodies refused to obey, leaving them at the mercy of Anaric’s will.

But this wasn’t just happening to the few of them; the life forms in the entire Abyssal Scar were feeling the same, as their lives were being devoured by a mysterious force, and they could only slowly feel the coming of their death.

Only Apollo’s group and Blood King were alright within this horrendous energy of doom.

With a slow, deliberate motion, Anaric extended his arms outward. Darkness surged around him, condensing into massive shadowy chains that slithered forward, aiming to ensnare the dragon. In response, the dragon opened its maw and a glowing orb of green energy formed within its mouth. In an instant, the energy condensed further into a blinding beam that shot out, tearing through the space between them.

The beam collided with the chains, erupting in an explosion of light and shadow that rattled the very foundation of the Abyssal Scar.

A shockwave surged outward, causing the ground to split and sending debris flying in all directions. Apollo and the others were also forced to the ground and shielded their eyes from the sheer brilliance, their hearts pounding in sync with the vibrations of the battle, but mysterious energy seemed to protect them from destructive energy.

The explosion was cataclysmic, a force of nature that annihilated nearly every living being within the Abyssal Scar. In a blinding flash of destructive power, millions of lives were snuffed out, their remains obliterated without a trace. The ground quaked and the sky darkened, echoing the devastation wrought by the collision.

As the dust settled, an eerie silence filled the air. The once Abyssal Scar filled with countless horrifying creatures and criminals was now a desolate wasteland, its landscape marred by the blast’s intensity. Only a few remained alive amidst the aftermath—Apollo, the other trialists, and Blood King.

Even the dark, armour-like barrier surrounding the Abyssal Scar seems to have dissipated after the attack, leaving an unsettling quiet. The world around them had changed; the colour seemed to drain from the environment, turning the land into a grey, lifeless expanse. It was as if the explosion had not only obliterated life but had sucked the essence from the world itself.

For a moment, nothing moved. The oppressive stillness pressed down on them all, a grim reminder of the destructive power that had just been unleashed.
