Chapter 116: All Out Battle Royal (Part-2)

Outside the arena, Ninth Prince Leon and Seraphina watched with bated breath, their anxiety palpable. The six opponents who had converged on Apollo were formidable, each one displaying a level of strength and skill that rivalled their own.

The tension in the air was thick as they worried about whether Apollo could withstand the onslaught from such powerful adversaries.

Apollo, however, remained composed. His eyes darted between the six attackers, analyzing and predicting their movements. Each opponent had a unique fighting style, and Apollo had to adapt quickly to defeat them.

The first opponent, a burly warrior with a massive axe covered in life force, charged at Apollo with brute force. Apollo sidestepped the attack with a swift dodge, countering with a precise strike to the warrior’s side. The impact was enough to stagger his opponent, but not to take him down.

Simultaneously, a first-rank mage wielding elemental spells launched a barrage of fireballs at Apollo. He rolled to the side, narrowly avoiding the scorching flames.

A pair of twin warrior assassins, moving in perfect unison, attempted to flank Apollo. Their synchronized attacks were a blur of blades aimed at his vital points. Apollo parried and deflected their strikes, using their momentum against them to create a brief opening. He struck back with lightning speed, forcing the assassins to retreat while coughing blood and regrouping.

As the battle raged on, Apollo found himself cornered by the remaining two opponents: a spear-wielding warrior with unparalleled reach and a lithe fighter who specialized in close-quarters combat. The spear wielder thrust his weapon covered in life force with deadly precision while the agile fighter tried to exploit any gaps in Apollo’s defence.

Apollo employed a series of rapid movements and feints to keep his opponents off balance. Ducking under the arc of the spear, he landed a powerful kick to the agile fighter’s midsection, sending him sprawling and spitting blood. The spear-wielding warrior pressed his attack, but Apollo caught the spear shaft, twisted it from his grasp, and disarmed him before knocking him unconscious with a single strike to the neck.

With two opponents temporarily out of commission, Apollo turned his attention back to the burly warrior and the mage. The burly warrior, recovering from the initial strike, roared in anger and charged once more.

Apollo met the charge head-on, using a combination of agility and strength to redirect the warrior’s momentum. He threw him off balance and sent him flying with a devastating kick to the stomach. The burly warrior, stunned by the difference in strength and speed, was sent hurtling out of the arena.

The mage conjured three powerful fireballs, each the size of four basketballs combined, and aimed them directly at Apollo. With split-second timing, Apollo rolled to the side and moved in a zig-zag pattern, allowing the fiery orbs to pass harmlessly by. He then closed the distance between them, delivering a swift and decisive blow to the mage’s chest, knocking him out of the fight.

Finally, the twin assassins, having regrouped, launched a coordinated attack. Apollo, sensing their approach, spun on his heel and delivered a lightning-fast, sweeping kick that sent one assassin crashing into the other. He followed up with a series of rapid punches that incapacitated both of them in a matter of seconds.

Breathing calmly and standing tall, Apollo surveyed the battlefield. The six opponents lay defeated around him, Defeating them without using any skills, just by his speed and raw strength. The crowd erupted in cheers, astonished by his incredible performance.

Outside the battle ring, Ninth Prince Leon and Seraphina exchanged relieved glances. They had feared for Apollo’s safety, but he had proven himself more than capable of handling the fierce competition. Their admiration for him grew even stronger as they watched him stand tall among the geniuses.

Master Aaron, Old Man Aragon, and Fist King were also watching. For Master Aaron and Old Man Aragon, Apollo’s performance wasn’t surprising. They knew his true strength and could see he was holding back; his simple fists and kicks were enough to disable his opponents.

Only Fist King, standing beside them, was surprised. Apollo seemed shrouded in mystery, and he couldn’t gauge his depth at all.

Prince Michael, who also had his eyes on Apollo, appeared calm. He had already instructed his people to gather information about Apollo and received some intriguing news.

Apollo had fought in the beast tide, facing multiple beast commanders alone and killing them. This was a shocking scene, witnessed by countless people. Knowing such a terrifying record, Prince Michael was genuinely astonished. Even for him, facing multiple beast commanders and killing them would not be easy. This revelation suggested that Apollo’s strength might not be weaker than his own.

He couldn’t help but feel surprised, knowing this. There were not many geniuses in the world who could challenge him. Even if they existed, they hailed from equally ancient and mighty forces. Yet now, he had encountered an unknown genius who didn’t seem to be from such clans or forces but possessed such shocking strength.

Prince Michael’s thoughts raced as he watched Apollo. This unknown factor intrigued him. Could there be a hidden force behind Apollo, or was he simply an extraordinary outlier? The competition had just become much more interesting, and Prince Michael couldn’t wait to see what other surprises Apollo had in store.

Seeing Apollo’s prowess, the remaining ten or so geniuses exchanged glances, a silent agreement forming among them. They decided to take down Apollo first before determining the winner among themselves. Each one of them, ranging from first-rank to second-rank limit-breakers, steeled themselves for the impending clash.

Apollo, however, remained indifferent to their united front. He knew that the time for play was over. Without a moment’s hesitation, he unleashed his true physical prowess and a burst of unseen speed, creating sonic booms that echoed through the arena. To the spectators, he seemed to teleport multiple times, his movements too fast to follow.

In an instant, he was among his opponents, his presence a blur of motion. Apollo struck with precise and devastating force—a single fist or kick enough to send each genius flying out of the arena. His attacks were relentless, each blow landing with the power and precision of a master warrior. The crowd watched in awe as, one by one, the remaining geniuses were defeated, unable to withstand his overwhelming speed and strength.

Within moments, the arena was cleared. Apollo stood alone in the centre, breathing steadily, his gaze sweeping over the fallen opponents around him. The crowd erupted into thunderous applause, their cheers filling the air. His display of dominance had left an indelible mark on everyone present.

He was truly an unstoppable force. The top geniuses and those powerful figures all noticed that it was merely a display of his physical prowess, which seemed to have surpassed even the monster beasts.

The first six opponents who had faced him earlier felt a surge of relief as they looked at the ten geniuses lying around. It was clear that Apollo had been holding back and was going easy on them.

Apollo calmly walked down from the ring as the battle ended. He decided to change his approach after this fight. Most times, he hid his strength so instinctively that it had become second nature to him. But today, holding back, initially gave the ten geniuses the idea that they could defeat him by teaming up.

If he had displayed his full power from the start, such a scenario wouldn’t have occurred. He realized that his cautious mindset was hindering him from fully understanding and embracing his unique Sword Aura.

To fully grasp his Sword Aura, Apollo’s mind needed to be liberated from such cautious thoughts. His sword shouldn’t be restrained by carefulness; instead, it needed to embody the confidence that it could cut through anything.

The senior members of the Sacred Light Empire nodded in approval, acknowledging Apollo’s exceptional performance. His place among the final sixty was unquestionable.

As the arena quieted down and the next group prepared to enter, Apollo rejoined his companions. Ninth Prince Leon and Seraphina greeted him with wide smiles and words of encouragement.

"You were incredible, Apollo!" Seraphina exclaimed, her eyes shining with admiration.

Ninth Prince Leon smiled, but the shock he felt was still visible on his face. "I didn’t expect you to do his strong."

He couldn’t believe that such a genius was born into a small baron family in their kingdom. Did the ancestors of that baron family save the world or something for such a prodigy to be born in their lineage?

Ninth Prince Leon made up his mind. He would ensure the royal family did everything possible, even granting a marquis title directly to Apollo’s family, to please and retain their relationship with him.

Apollo smiled, and his eyes glowed with a bright light as he looked in the direction where Prince Michael was sitting. "This is just the beginning."

Prince Michael felt it too, as they both looked at each other from a distance, smiles of mutual recognition and confidence in their strength playing on their lips.

"Bring it on."
