Chapter 109: Intense anger (1)
Just a few moments ago, he had told them what to do...
He assured them that they would win, and they just needed to do what he told them.
Everything would be fine as long as they followed his orders.
But now... In just a moment, things had been turned upside down.
They were playing dirty, that was obvious. That kind of unexpected attack could even kill a master, let alone the two weakest members of the team.
But was there any point in reporting it now?
Seeing them both dead, lying motionless on the ground, made Elliot’s heart tighten. His teeth chattered, and even though he wasn’t close to them, he could tell with certainty that they would never get up again.
Who would survive after having their heart and entire chest blown out? Who would get up after having their head blown off?
Neither of them had even been able to complain or say a last word.
Even all the spectators were in shock. Some rejoiced in joy, others simply lamented.
But Elliot...
He felt an irrepressible and uncontrollable anger rising within him. His body seemed to tremble at that moment, and intense hatred showed in his eyes.
He had been too soft on these people. He had been too stupid, thinking he could win fair and square against bastards who buy judges.
His naivety had cost two lives.
"No more." His insides roared with indescribable fury, and his body turned toward the Control Mage.
There was a way to fight that had occurred to him before, using the advantages of his class. He hadn’t used it because it didn’t make sense in team battles where he had to protect his teammates.
But now... he believed it was the best time to use it.
He leaped fiercely at the Control Mage, regaining some of his mobility after the death of his tank.
Then he brought all the summons toward him. They entered him instantly, and at the same time, he summoned them all around the Control Mage.
"Attack!" he roared, hatred laden in his voice.
The disappearance of all the summonses shocked both teams, who turned to the center to see what was happening.
No one thought such a thing was possible, but in an instant, the Control Mage was in mortal danger.
And his hope of being saved was short-lived. Elliot charged at him with terrifying ferocity, six against one. In the end, his body was impaled with several swords, and his life was snuffed out when Elliot’s sword severed his head.
This sudden change created chaos in the enemy ranks. Elliot quickly took advantage of this.
He didn’t want to make the same mistake again. He knew that when cornered, that soul mage was the most dangerous.
Even though he was distracted by two assassins, he had still managed to cast a lightning bolt at him earlier, which slowed his reaction time.
Therefore, he immediately jumped onto his summons and forced the berserker to throw him forward.
His body shot forward at high speed and instantly reached the Soul Mage.
All his summons immediately reached him once more and lunged at their enemy.
"Damn bastards, you’re going to die!" His sword and the blood of the Control Mage who had fallen before him flared and struck him.
Thomas was shocked to have this guy in front of him in such a short time, so his body roared:
"HOOOOOOAHHH!" A strange fear mixed with enhanced magic immediately appeared between him and Elliot. But he had seen how his partner died, so he also had to worry about his rear.
Too bad... Elliot wouldn’t let him.
He slammed into the magic head-on. At the same time, he lunged at Thomas’s shoulder, forcing him to take the blow.
This stunned him and made his right arm feel like it was on fire for a moment, when a small red flame seemed to burn him.
"Even if you do that, the damage from my magic..." Thomas roared, raising his spirits, thinking that if he died, he would take this bastard with him.
Too bad... once again, he would be disappointed.
Just as that happened, he felt his magic split in two...
He didn’t understand what had split it in two, but when he realized, Elliot was a step away from him and had his unarmed arm piercing through his head.
"Trash. You’re not worthy of fighting me with that pathetic magic." Elliot sneered, even though the force of the thunder’s impact burned part of his face.
It had affected him.
Among the masters watching this, many frowned.
"Was it an item?"
"It looks like it..."
Several masters from the guilds that had been eliminated gathered to watch the fight, and several noticed something strange happening just as that magic was striking Elliot.
The magic was powerful enough to endanger powerful people. Why was Elliot almost unharmed?
"He used an item for a brief moment to break that magic. Could you feel anything? The feeling... was unusual."
"Yes... What is it? I don’t understand." They all looked to the most knowledgeable person present, Master Cat, to see if he could give them any answers.
But Master Cat simply smiled with interest.
’Is it a weapon?’ he thought.
He couldn’t even understand it, but based on several things he saw and how the magic was broken, it had to be a sword.
Besides, Elliot’s hand couldn’t have pierced a human head at that angle. Even though Soul Mages have no resistance, Elliot couldn’t have pierced his head with nothing else.
Therefore, something must have done it. It had to be a weapon.
And he was right.
Along with his powerful charge, the charge of all his summons, except for the Soul Mage, fell upon him, and his body quickly lost the strength to defend itself. Added to the wounds Rich and Chris had inflicted on him earlier, he died in a matter of seconds.
Just then, on the other side of the battle.
Andrew had also become enraged, so he clenched his teeth tightly, resisting the poison, and quickly forced himself to strike his opponent.
Although his speed had slowed dramatically, he was a specialist in using hammers. Therefore, instead of moving with his own speed, he let the hammer’s weight move him.
