Herforao returned to his original form, leaving Little Gorilla helpless from continuing to find more treasures. Kaiju smiled at him, petted his head, and assured they already had more than enough. He even felt his inventory was full.

Staring at his inventory, he felt satisfied.

Kaiju was delighted he was able to gather artifacts that Qwanisha, Max, Faith, and Griffin would receive. Although he was unsure about Max if he preferred double-handed or single-handed, he assumed he could do both, knowing Qwanisha could change to a pair of crossbows, good for short distance, to longbow, for long distance.

It was unfortunate Kaiju did not spot a longbow, even crossbows for Qwanisha, but the Rare grade arrows amounting to double digit should suffice.

He was excited to give it all to them, but he had matters to focus first. As soon as Herforao went back to his original form and closed his purple gem eyes, he said, "They are waiting below. Since you already possess most of my artifacts that enable you and your pets to walk in air, you don’t need my help to come down."

We don’t need help, my ass! Can you even imagine the height of this tree? Kaiju complained inwardly. He smiled and nodded. He turned to Little Gorilla and Snow who leapt on his shoulders as they began their descent.

Kaiju exhausted the artifact, including Little Gorilla and Snow, as they finally landed on the surface. Kaiju’s heart raced earlier, risking the amount of height he crossed, almost breaking his legs just to suffice the artifacts’ effect activation.

Although it did not explicitly stated there were limits, they obviously had, as durability even began to decrease. All Rare grade has 150 durability points, the Gacha System did not include it as it was full when he wore it. Now, the Zephyrstride Boots barely had ten durability points left, so he did not have a choice but to spend 140 Luck Points to recover it fully. He grumbled in annoyance, blaming Herforao inwardly.

"What do you want me to do? Slap you with my tail downward?" Herforao snorted.

"You could, at least, have a way to send us back, don’t you?" Snow complained on Kaiju’s stead.

"I unfortunately don’t."

"How about your soldiers visiting you, then?" Kaiju asked, genuinely perplexed.

"Some died, some took a year to return to land." Heforao grinned. "Do you think you have that time?"

Kaiju rolled his eyes and turned his back against the colossal trunk, facing five Corrupted Rank serpents. Among them was who Kaiju felt familiar with, the Corrupted rank who led them to Herforao. He smiled at him, and he returned the courtesy without putting on airs. Kaiju took the chance to scrutinize him.

The Corrupted rank has a deep blue scale, not unnatural given that even the other Corrupted rank serpents have unique, different colors. His eyes were aqua color, bringing with water mana. Kaiju could guess the element he primarily possessed, aside from poison–innate talent of serpent beasts.

"What is your name?" Kaiju did not have problems communicating with beasts.

The Corrupted rank replied, "I am number 5."

"Number 5?" Kaiju mumbled in bewilderment.

Herforao coughed awkwardly and explained, "I am too lazy to think of a name, so I just referred them from number 1 to 5, with 1 being the strongest, of course."

Kaiju was in disbelief. How could you? He thought inwardly.

"Don’t blame me," said Herforao. "If you want him, pick two more and name them yourself. If they liked it, then that means you already tamed them."

Kaiju asked number 5, "Are you aware of Herforao’s arrangement?"

"Yes," Number 5 instantly replied. He wagged his tail and continued, "I want to be your tamed beast."

"Are you sure?" Kaiju was surprised. "Did you not dislike me for killing your kin?"

"Yes." Number 5 did not deny. "That was because you were still a weakling and my kin, who was obviously stronger than you, died. It might be due to the interference of the outsiders, but he should not have been so careless to die by your hands. Also, you have proved me wrong, you have become stronger in the short span. For some reason, your affinity with us, beasts, increased, too. With all that reason, I am willing to follow you."

"Are you sure? Are you willing to abandon your current master?"

"I am not abandoning him, I am following his orders," said Number 5 innocently. "In addition, I am still his underlings, I will only be treating you as my temporary master. If Master Herforao called for me, I will not hesitate to abandon you."

Kaiju’s eyes turned sharp and said, "Can you assure me, Herforao, it will not happen? You calling him might be at the crucial moments, I don’t want to mentally exhaust myself overthinking it."

Herforao chuckled. "You are overthinking. I won’t be forgiven by my ego if I call my underlings for help."

Kaiju exhaled a sigh of relief. He gazed at Number 5 and saw he was willing to be his tamed beast indeed, and said, "Alright, if you are willing, I will not reject you."

Number 5’s eyes sparkled in excitement, nodding frantically, and replied, "Thank you, new Master!"

Kaiju paused for a while, waiting for Herforao to be infuriated by his underling, acknowledging a new master in front of him. However, what startled him was the voice of the Gacha System.
