Chapter 62: Blink

"Master, in our next battle with auntie, can I go all out?" Snow asked through telepathic communication. "Me, too, Master. I have been itching to use my full powers but since Big sister Qwanisha did not allow us, I have been restraining myself." Little Gorilla followed.

Kaiju sighed helplessly. "We cannot. We have been spied on by other races, the blood bound might be on it, too. We can’t reveal ourselves naked."

Snow and Little Gorilla hung their heads low. Kaiju petted their heads. "Don’t worry, there will be a day you can use your bloodline awakening. You two will not hold back at all."

Snow and Little Gorilla nodded, still feeling a bit dismayed. Kaiju sighed. "Just so you know, even if you go all out, do you think Big Sister Qwanisha will do the same? She is much more cautious than you two. To be honest, I am perplexed why we even have to be careful against the other races when we rely on them to complete the Trial. She might just be cautious."

Snow and Little Gorilla were silent. They still nodded about the idea of Qwanisha still restraining herself even if they went all out. To comfort themselves, Snow said, "It’s just frustrating how auntie is taking us lightly. I have just been holding myself. I can take her even with myself."

Kaiju chuckled. "Are you sure?"

Snow proudly replied, "Of course. Does she have a bloodline awakening?"

"Who knows?" Kaiju shrugged. "But it is not good to compare yourself to her, even your teacher, as you are subconsciously treating them as your enemy."

"Ah, right, Master! I’m sorry."

Kaiju shook his head. "It is better to compare yourselves to the vampire, even more so in the other higher races."

Snow grinned. "Yes, Master. I want to fight the strongest of them."

Kaiju laughed half-heartedly, not treating her statements seriously.

He pondered for a while and said, "I think it is now time to elevate our Swift Dash skill, Snow. I have an idea after ascending the dagger mastery to advance how to elevate the Swift Dash skill to Blink."

Snow’s eyes blinked innocently and replied, "Yes, it is easy, Master. I’m just waiting for you."

Kaiju was taken aback. He was about to tell her he should have not, so he could have just replicated it, but Kaiju thought it would be a waste since he could learn it anyway. He shook his head and replied, "That’s good."

"Little Gorilla, I can impart you the Swift Dash skill. I only have a single replication left but it’s better to use it so you can learn Blink. After all, Blink is a very useful tool once we learn mana."

"Are you sure it is okay to waste it on me, Master?"

Kaiju was taken aback and was slightly enraged. He lightly flicked his finger on Little Gorilla’s forehead–of course, not on his closed third eye. He said, "I can’t focus on so many things at once. Just focusing on ice, poison, and shadow elements are already overwhelming me. That’s why I will trust you with our backs, Little Gorilla. Don’t fail us."

Little Gorilla was motivated, his golden eyes sparkled in anticipation. He nodded frantically and replied, "I won’t disappoint you, Master."

Kaiju nodded and smiled. "That’s good."

Kaiju then remembered the skills of Little Gorilla he replicated. The second was the Light Resistance skill, the first was the Climbing Mastery. However, it was common and if he recalled correctly, Little Gorilla already elevated it.

He asked the Gacha System in his mind.

’If a skill I replicated is elevated by the original owner, will it be the same as mine?’

{Technically, no. You have to spend your replication skill to replicate the elevated version.}

Kaiju nodded, not entirely disappointed. He could ask Little Gorilla to train him anyway, for it to be elevated. After he settled his thoughts, he asked the Gacha System to use the remaining replication skills to impart his skill to Little Gorilla.

{Using the replication skill to replicate your skill, Swift Dash, to Little Gorilla.

Replicating...

Replication is finished. Imparting the skill to Little Gorilla...}

Little Gorilla suddenly closed his eyes and stayed frozen for a while. Kaiju was not worried, waiting for the Gacha System to finish her action.

{Impartation has been completed. Please check for confirmation.}

Kaiju glanced at Little Gorilla and was about to ask him if he received the skills when two of his eyes abruptly opened, revealing sparkling golden pupils. Kaiju stared at Little Gorilla in silence. The latter stood up and performed the Swift Dash skill, causing him to smile. Little Gorilla was at it for a while.

Kaiju was about to ask him to stop when Little Gorilla suddenly disappeared, leaving behind his afterimages, dissolving into golden light. He suddenly appeared ten meters away from his location as his body radiated a golden light before it faded. He stood frozen, suddenly wobbling, and perceiving his energy sipping away, falling to the floor.

Kaiju reacted on time and used his Swift Dash to appear beside him. At the same time, he asked the Gacha System, ’What happened?’

{He obviously had fallen into a mana deprivation state. Who told him to use Blink at a distance of ten meters?}

’He used Blink?!’ Kaiju checked Little Gorilla’s condition. ’Do I have to do something for him to recover?’

{Well, you can buy a mana recovery potion. A low grade only cost a hundred Luck Points. It can recover ten mana points instantly.}

’Buy it.’

{Understood. But, you only have 41 Luck Points left.}

Kaiju was stunned. ’What should I do?’

{Just give him enough time to recover. Don’t forget he has 2.5 mana points recovery each second. He drained his mana points, as a result, after all.}

Kaiju checked Little Gorilla’s status and confirmed there were no more mana points left. However, it was quickly replenished 2.5 times per second, so he heaved a sigh of relief. He recalled Little Gorilla performing a Blink right after he received the Swift Dash skill and could not help but be filled with admiration.

He glanced at Snow and teased her. "Can you achieve the same thing, Snow?"

"Hump! I have already learned it, Master." Snow’s voice echoed behind him.
