Chapter 907: Gathering for the Path of All Immortals
"Yes, us old folks hope the disciples of the Green Lotus Sect can unite and get along well. That would be great."
"That’s true. If only others could be like them."
The two clueless old men exchanged their thoughts and felt pleased.
Meanwhile, Kenny Lin was also asking about Amalia’s agreement to Elder Bomen’s proposal.
"Elder Bomen is clearly trying to fool you. Why did you agree so quickly?" he asked.
Amalia smiled slightly. "His intentions are good, after all. I just pretended not to notice. It wasn’t a big deal, and it turned out fine."
Kenny Lin complained, "Why can’t you treat me like that, too?"
"Am I not good enough to you?" Amalia raised an eyebrow.
Kenny Lin paused for a moment. "If you could also listen to me about our dual cultivation, that would be even better."
Amalia didn’t bother to respond. This guy never understood the meaning of "know your limits."
"Renshu Chang will probably come looking for us soon. The Path of All Immortals is about to start. I wonder what the situation is," she said.
"We’ll find out when Renshu Chang arrives," Kenny Lin replied.
However, Renshu Chang was still in seclusion and hadn’t come out. Instead, a less familiar senior brother came to inform them that many disciples preparing for the Path of All Immortals had not finished their seclusion yet.
This senior brother didn’t know much, just that they were to gather in the main hall of the sect leader the day after tomorrow.
Since the Path of All Immortals was far from the Green Lotus Sect, they needed to leave early to avoid any unexpected situations. If they were late, the Green Lotus Sect might become a laughingstock on Mystic Void Continent. So, every time this event approached, all the major sects took it very seriously.
Not only was the Green Lotus Sect far from the Path of All Immortals, but other sects were also quite distant. The location of the Path of All Immortals was at a very remote place, and given the vastness of Mystic Void Continent, even a powerful cultivators flying at full speed would take at least ten years.
This was just an estimated time, as no one had ever attempted such a foolish test.
After informing them, the unfamiliar senior brother hurried off to notify others.
With many people in seclusion, it was crucial to ensure everyone received the message. If someone missed it, it would be his responsibility. Although this task seemed simple, it carried a lot of pressure.
Later, Amalia told her master about Elder Bomen’s proposal. As she expected, her master didn’t mind at all.
"I’ve always said that if you have the energy to practice two skills, go ahead. Just make sure that while you’re learning formations, you don’t neglect your blade training," Tian Wuya said before sending them off.
Meanwhile, at Nameless Peak, it started to rain lightly every day without pause.
"Your master treats you like sheep," Kenny Lin joked.
"Like you’re not also treated like sheep by Master Lian," Amalia shot back playfully. "By the way, why didn’t it rain at Nameless Peak that day?"
"I don’t know what your master is thinking; who can guess?" Kenny Lin said nonchalantly.
Amalia nodded.
In no time, it was time for them to gather.
Amalia had been repeating the simplified version of the Heavenfall Annihilation Formation until Kenny Lin woke her up, and then she realized it was time. After they finished getting ready, they headed to the main hall of the sect leader.
"Why aren’t you wearing your white clothes again?" Amalia glanced at him.
"So others can see we make a good pair," Kenny Lin replied seriously.
"Are you serious?" Amalia asked with a strange look.
"Do I look like I’m joking?" Kenny Lin countered.
Seeing he truly believed that, Amalia was speechless. "As long as you’re happy."
She didn’t want push him to wear white clothes. Instead, Kenny Lin frowned. "Didn’t you want to say something just now?"
"Nothing," Amalia said without looking back as she walked away.
Kenny Lin felt something was off, but he couldn’t figure it out until they reached the entrance of the hall, where Renshu Chang was waiting for them.
"Junior Master Uncle, why aren’t you in white clothes anymore?" Renshu Chang asked.
"Why do you say that too?" Kenny Lin replied.
Renshu Chang smiled and said, "Because you both are in black and white. Doesn’t that make you look like a pair? The black-and-white duo sounds nice for both of you. Although Junior Master Uncle also looks good in black clothes, but white clothes makes you look less aggressive."
He had completely accepted the idea of the two of them together and felt relaxed.
"You said that on purpose, didn’t you?" Kenny Lin suddenly looked at Amalia.
"You said it yourself; does my opinion even matter?" Amalia responded, turning it back on him.
"Of course it matters," Kenny Lin said without hesitation.
"Okay, actually, I think black clothes suit you better," Amalia said honestly.
Kenny Lin pretended to be angry but then calmed down. "Really? You’re not lying to me, right?"
Amalia said patiently, "Why would I lie to you? This is the real you, isn’t it?"
"That’s right, this is the true me," Kenny Lin said, instantly looking happy.
Renshu Chang, who unexpectedly got a taste of their love, was confused at first. Then he felt amazed, thinking how incredible Amalia was for changing Kenny Lin so much. Just a moment ago, Kenny Lin looked so angry that Renshu Chang was worried he would explode.
"You’ve done really well," Renshu Chang said, patting Amalia’s shoulder. It must have taken a lot of effort to train Kenny Lin like this.
Amalia wasn’t quite sure what he was thinking, so she just smiled in response.
Renshu Chang thought her smile was a mix of sweetness and a bit of bitterness.
Amalia looked around and asked, "Are many people going to participate in the Path of All Immortals this time?"
