Chapter 902: Crushes and Cultivation
She glanced in the direction of the back mountain, wondering what made today special.
Leaving Nameless Peak, the two of them walked down the mountain path. Along the way, colorful flowers bloomed on both sides of the road, stretching all the way down to the base of the mountain. It was a breathtaking sight, like a path leading to a fairyland.
Some romantic cultivators couldn’t help but stop at the foot of the mountain to admire the view, especially the female cultivators.
Because of the barrier, they couldn’t go further and could only enjoy the view from below.
Suddenly, Amalia and Kenny Lin appeared out of nowhere, startling them.
"Didn’t they say there’s a barrier up ahead, so no one can go in or out? How come these two senior brother and sister can come and go as they please?" one of the female disciples asked nervously, patting her chest.
"Isn’t it obvious? Normal people can’t pass through the barrier, which means they’re not ordinary people. The main peak has a lot of senior brother and sister with strange personalities, so don’t go bothering them," one senior brother warned the group of curious female disciples.
"I heard that our sect really encourages dual cultivation. There are hundreds of dual cultivation techniques stored in the Hidden Art Pavilion," a girl in a pink dress said shyly.
"That can’t be! Haneul Feng, I remember you once said you’d never dual cultivate with any disciple and that you’d walk your own path of cultivation," her junior sister said, looking surprised.
"Those two things don’t conflict, okay? Some people look for dual cultivation partners to boost their skills, while others do it to find someone they love," the girl in the pink dress blushed as she explained, clearly embarrassed by being called out.
"So, does that mean you’ve found someone you like?" her junior sister teased.
The girl in the pink dress playfully hit her and smiled, "Not really, I just started having the thought, that’s all."
"I think you’d better not have those thoughts," suddenly, a voice came from the flower bushes. "One of those two people, I don’t know whose disciple that girl is, but the other one, even the sect leader has to call him ’junior master uncle.’"
The girl’s face changed, "Could he be one of the elders?"
There were some elders in the Green Lotus Sect who, despite being hundreds or even thousands of years old, they still had youthful appearances. Just like Master Lian.
The person who spoke chuckled, "If that’s how you want to think of it, sure. It’s not much different."
The girl in the pink dress looked disappointed and lost her enthusiasm. When she returned, her senior sister, Eunbyeol Ling, approached her.
"Weren’t you going to enjoy the view? Why do you look like this after just a short trip?" Eunbyeol Ling asked with a frown.
"It’s nothing." Not wanting to admit her embarrassing thoughts to her senior sister, the girl shook her head.
"It’s not nothing," her junior sister chimed in, sticking out her tongue. "She got a crush, but then found out the guy’s way too high in status, age, and power compared to her."
"Sixth Sister!" The girl in the pink dress glared angrily at her.
Eunbyeol Ling thought it was no big deal. "If you like someone, just go for it. Age, status, and strength don’t really matter. It’s not like there hasn’t been a case like that in our sect before."
"But what if people start talking?" the girl in the pink dress hesitated.
"Why care about what others say? Just focus on yourself. There are a thousand mouths for a thousand opinions. Are you going to worry about every single one?" Eunbyeol Ling had long since figured it out.
Although the Green Lotus Sect was peaceful inside, some people loved to gossip, and that wouldn’t change no matter how harmonious things seemed. The most important thing was to live for yourself because, in the end, they were just strangers.
"Senior sister, do you really think I can do it?" The girl in the pink dress couldn’t help but smile sneakily, feeling encouraged. "That man man just now... He looked so impressive."
"That man? Who is it?" Eunbyeol Ling frowned deeply.
Seeing her expression, the girl in the pink dress quickly panicked and explained, "No, no! I’m just joking!"
"Is it the tall elder? He did look quite handsome," her junior sister said with a dreamy expression.
The girl in the pink dress quickly denied it and then shyly admitted, "No, I just have a bit of a crush, that’s it."
Her junior sister suddenly understood. "Oh, don’t be shy. But that guy seems a bit cold. It’s usually hard to chase after someone like that."
"Isn’t there a saying that it’s easier for a woman to chase a man? How would I know if I don’t try?" The girl in the pink dress bit her lip and hugged Eunbyeol Ling’s arm. "Senior sister, could you help me find out more about him?"
Eunbyeol Ling sighed. "I’ve never met him, so how would I know who you’re talking about? You used to say you wanted to be like me, living freely like a swordswoman for your whole life."
"That was in the past! Please help me this time! You visit the main peak more often, so you have a better chance of meeting the other elders. I can only count on you." The girl in the pink dress pleaded sweetly.
"Alright, alright. I’ll ask around for you," Eunbyeol Ling finally agreed.
"Thank you, senior sister!" The girl in the pink dress cheered. "Oh, by the way, aren’t you going to compete in the Path of All Immortals? Shouldn’t you be preparing for it? I heard the sect gave out Golden Solarian Tree Fruits to help you all get stronger."
The girl in the pink dress and her junior sister looked at her with envy. They wished they could get a Golden Solarian Tree Fruit too, as it would instantly boost their cultivation.
