Chapter 741: Digging The Mine (Part 2)
The rumbling sound grew louder, and suddenly, a large group of powerful demonic beasts charged out from behind the mountain.
Each demonic beast looked like it had gone mad, and some of their eyes were even turned red.
"Demonic beasts! The demonic beasts have gone crazy!"
Both the devils and humans were terrified.
When demonic beasts go mad, their strength can increase by one or two times.
If most of the demonic beasts were only at the Foundation Building stage, it might not be so bad.
But most of them were at the Golden Core stage, and the ones who led them were a few at the Nascent Soul stage.
"Run! Nascent Soul demonic beasts are coming!" someone shouted in panic.
The people who had been frozen in place finally snapped out of it, and chaos erupted as everyone started to flee.
They couldn’t even handle hundreds of Golden Core stage demonic beasts, let alone Nascent Soul ones.
A single toe from one of those demonic beasts could crush them.
Everyone was running like crazy.
What was wrong with these demonic beasts?
Why had they suddenly gone mad?
Those who were too slow, both devils and humans, didn’t even have a chance to escape.
They were trampled to death by the hundreds of demonic beasts, dying in a horrible way.
Ruma Yang didn’t have time to argue with Amalia about the Eight Gods Blade.
He quickly led the remaining disciples of the Eternal One Sect to join the fleeing crowd.
Wherever the demonic beast army passed, nothing was left alive.
Even the corpses from the earlier battle between the devils and humans were crushed into pieces.
The ground was covered in chunks of flesh and dark red blood, with no bones left intact.
In the sky, Kenny Lin left Al’gath behind and quickly flew to Amalia’s side.
Together, they followed after Vincent Tan and the others who had already started to flee.
In no time, they caught up.
"Martial Aunt, the demonic beast army really showed up! Was it really the work of Beast Tamer Sect and Nine Cauldron?" Vincent Tan asked, both scared and excited, amazed that his Martial Aunt’s prediction had come true.
"I don’t know," Amalia replied.
She hadn’t seen any disciples from Beast Tamer Sect or Nine Cauldron, so she couldn’t be sure if it was their doing.
"It was them," Kenny Lin suddenly said.
Amalia looked at him, "How do you know?"
"There were two Beast Tamer Sect disciples mixed in with the crowd. Their chests looked a bit swollen, probably because they managed to get their hands on a Nascent Soul demonic beast’s cubs. But it came at a high price—their fellow sect members might have died," Kenny Lin said with a faint smile, "You take them and run ahead to meet up with Renshu Chang and the others. I have something to take care of, but I’ll be right back."
Before Amalia could respond, Kenny Lin disappeared, but just before he vanished completely, he tossed something toward Amalia.
He ran so fast because he was afraid Amalia would stop him.
Seeing that she had caught what he threw, she didn’t try to call him back.
"Martial Aunt, what is Junior Master Uncle up to?" Vincent Tan asked curiously.
"I don’t know. I’ll take you to find Renshu Chang first. After the demonic beast army passes, we’ll go dig up the top-grade spiritual stone mine," Amalia replied.
This was the first time she and Kenny Lin had split up since entering the secret realm, so she had no idea what his plan was, though she had some idea of what he wanted to do.
"Oh right, we still have a spiritual stone mine to dig up."
If Amalia hadn’t mentioned it, everyone would have almost forgotten about the spiritual stone mine.
The reason they joined the battle in the first place was for that mine.
Even though a lot had happened, they still had time.
"Once we find Renshu Chang, we’ll dig it up right away. We won’t give the other factions any chance. After all, we didn’t agree to give them any share," Vincent Tan said, admiring Amalia, "Martial Aunt is so smart. If we had promised to share the mine back then, we wouldn’t be able to dig it up as we please."
Ding Huiqing had a complicated expression.
It turned out that while they were only thinking about the first step, Amalia had already planned out the next ninety-nine steps.
As they dodged the pursuing demonic beasts, they searched for Renshu Chang and the other disciples.
Luckily, Renshu Chang had left them markers to follow.
As they got closer, the number of demonic beasts chasing them began to dwindle.
Finally, they found Renshu Chang and the others hiding in a secret cave.
Renshu Chang was pacing back and forth at the cave entrance.
He had wanted to go out and search for them several times but was worried that if Amalia showed up while he was gone, they’d miss each other.
After waiting for a long time, he was relieved to finally see them.
"You’re finally here... Wait, where’s junior master uncle?" Renshu Chang asked.
"He has something to take care of," Amalia replied.
Before Renshu Chang could say anything else, she told him about the top-grade spiritual stone mine and instructed him to take the disciples of the Green Lotus Sect to dig up as much of the mine as possible after the demonic beast army passed.
There was no need to leave any for the other factions.
Renshu Chang was both surprised and happy, but he suddenly realized that Amalia didn’t seem to plan on staying with them, "What about you?"
"I’m going to find your junior master uncle. The only one among the devils with any real power now is Al’gath. If you run into him, you should be able to take him on. Don’t worry about the others," Amalia said before leaving.
Renshu Chang still had a lot of questions, but when he tried to follow her, she had already disappeared.
