Chapter 739: The Demonic Beast Goes Freny (Part 2)
The small cuts inside his body started to merge into a larger wound, eventually attacking his vital energy channels.
When Gagmuth hit the ground, his face changed drastically.
He tried several times to dodge Amalia’s attacks to focus on dealing with the blade energy inside him, but she relentlessly pursued him.
If this kept up, he would be finished.
Gagmuth finally couldn’t hold back and shouted for help from Al’gath.
"Al’gath, help me!"
Al’gath’s expression changed.
He didn’t see any big wounds on Gagmuth, but having fought against Amalia before, he knew her blade was strange.
The blade energy seemed to have a natural destructive power—once it touched you, if you didn’t force it out in time, it would destroy your entire body.
He wanted to rush over to save Gagmuth, but Kenny Lin was tightly entangling him.
Even though Kenny Lin’s strength wasn’t very high, he was as very slippery as a snake, making Al’gath, who liked direct confrontations, extremely angry.
"Get lost! If you’ve got the guts, face me head-on! Stop dodging and sneaking around if you claim to be so great!" Al’gath shouted, his face twisted with anger.
Kenny Lin calmly replied, "I don’t claim to be so great, but if my life can take down a devil prodigy, it’s worth it."
Al’gath nearly spat blood in frustration, "If you really want to trade lives, then stop dodging!"
Gagmuth didn’t dare confront Amalia directly anymore, but he couldn’t shake her off.
The destructive energy inside him suddenly went wild, causing his movements to slow down.
He hesitated for just half a second, and Amalia seized the opportunity.
In a flash, she was beside him, raising her blade and striking down in one smooth motion.
"No!" Gagmuth screamed, pouring all his energy into defense, but it shattered like glass.
The armor on his body also broke into pieces under the pressure of the blade’s light, along with a spray of blood.
As the bright light faded, Gagmuth’s broken body fell into the grass.
Vijaya Tao swallowed hard, "Senior Brother, is our sect’s Eight Gods Blade really this powerful?"
He never knew that their Eternal One Sect’s Eight Gods Blade was so strong.
Why didn’t many disciples in their sect learn this blade technique?
If he had known it was this amazing, he would have made sure to learn it back then.
Ruma Yang frowned.
Although he had seen Senior Brother Xuan use the Eight Gods Blade before, it didn’t seem this powerful at the time.
"The Eight Gods Blade is, of course, powerful. The fact that she could kill a genius is clearly because of the Eight Gods Blade. She must know that the Eight Gods Blade is our sect’s secret technique, and yet she still uses it right in front of us. It’s like she doesn’t respect us at all," a disciple who had seen the Eight Gods Blade before said angrily.
Ruma Yang’s eyelids twitched, but he didn’t explain.
His silence only made Vijaya Tao and the others more certain that Amalia’s strength was due to their sect’s Eight Gods Blade, and their expressions became increasingly furious.
Amalia’s killing of Gagmuth shocked all the devils.
Seeing their geniuses fall one after another, some devils began to consider retreating.
Ruma Yang, Kailash Ren, and the others noticed this and immediately took advantage, launching a counterattack.
The devils that had been gathered were quickly scattered.
Al’gath, after several failed attempts to break through Kenny Lin’s defense, finally realized that although this human cultivator wasn’t very strong in battle, he was really good at entangling his opponent.
He no longer underestimated Kenny Lin.
If he could break through his defense, it would prove his own strength.
Noticing the change in Al’gath’s attitude and energy, Kenny Lin subtly curled his lips.
"Don’t you fear that your kind will be wiped out? The next one might be the third genius. No matter how strong you are, you can’t handle a group attack," Kenny Lin said.
Al’gath thought he was trying to provoke him, to make him angry.
Hee replied coldly, "This is a world where the strong survive and the weak perish. Their lives and deaths are none of my concern. If they die, it’s because they are too weak."
"Exactly, just as cold-blooded as I thought. That’s good," Kenny Lin said with a smile.
Then, he changed his tone to one that was almost like a whisper and said, "You devils, your souls are immortal and can possess others, right?"
Al’gath felt a slight chill.
What did this human mean?
Did he discover something?
"Don’t worry, I’m just saying that. I don’t mean anything else. It’s well known that devils can assimilate humans," Kenny Lin said with a bright smile.
Al’gath didn’t believe he was just talking.
Even if he had discovered something, Al’gath guessed the other person probably wouldn’t reveal it.
"You’re right. Even if I did discover something, I wouldn’t say it. Our human sects have their own internal enemies, just like your devil factions," Kenny Lin said with a light laugh.
Al’gath’s eyes widened slightly.
He almost blurted out, "How do you know what I’m thinking?"
Then he thought it was probably just a coincidence.
He kept his face serious.
If the other person was trying to trick him, responding would just confirm that the guess was correct.
"I don’t know what you’re talking about. Since you have some skill, then face your death!" Al’gath said and charged at him.
Kenny Lin’s smile didn’t change, but he discreetly glanced toward the direction of the Eternal One Sect.
His eyes were dark.
All three of them knew that there was some trouble.
It was unfortunate that the previous person wasn’t Ruma Yang.
If he had been, it would have saved them some trouble.
The killing resumed.
In this chaotic situation, there was one person surrounded by a vacuum of space, making her stand out.
That person was Amalia.
After killing Gagmuth, the other devils dared not approach her.
They deliberately avoided her, preferring to fight Ruma Yang and the others rather than face Amalia.
