Chapter 658: Entering The Double Cavern Secret Realms (Part 3)

Well, the rich and leisurely indeed can do whatever they want.

Baolin Jia sighed lightly.

It wasn’t long ago, just over two months, that Amalia came to borrow spirit stones from him.

Now they had so many spirit stones that they could spend them freely.

How did he not notice earlier? That Amalia also had an extraordinary aura.

A moment later, Shopkeeper Duan respectfully escorted this great figure out and finally breathed a sigh of relief.

He immediately turned back to the Elixir Cauldron Building.

The news that Master Lian of the Green Lotus Sect had taken a disciple was a piece of big news and had to be reported to his superiors.

Back at the Green Lotus Sect, Baolin Jia saw Kenny Lin preparing to leave.

Glancing at the bustling surroundings, he quickly raised his voice and asked, "Junior Master Uncle, were you satisfied with today’s purchases?"

Instantly, the nearby disciples slowed their steps.

Kenny Lin saw through the little fatty’s intention and, feeling generous due to his successful shopping, smiled and said, "Little fatty, you have potential. I am very satisfied."

With that, he walked away.

"Take care, Junior Master Uncle," Baolin Jia bowed respectfully.

As the crowd gathered around him, bombarding him with questions about Kenny Lin, Baolin Jia was inwardly delighted.

This young Junior Master Uncle was incredibly cooperative.

Afterward, Baolin Jia bragged to everyone about knowing Kenny Lin, using this to expand his network.

Using Junior Master Uncle Kenny Lin’s name to misbehave was something Baolin Jia didn’t dare to do.

Otherwise, the first person to come down and beat him would probably be his own father, not Kenny Lin.

Upper Nine Peaks.

When Kenny Lin returned, he looked around and found Amalia standing in front of the mountain wall.

"What are you doing standing here? Do you know today..."

Kenny Lin approached her, but before he could finish, he noticed that she had her eyes closed.

He decided to wait until she awakened on her own.

After more than an hour, Amalia opened her eyes.

"You know I..."

"You know I..."

They both started speaking at the same time.

"Never mind, you go first," Kenny Lin conceded, curious to know what Amalia had been doing.

He then placed a layer of spiritual awareness around them to prevent his master from eavesdropping.

Unbeknownst to him, this was unnecessary.

If Master Lian really wanted to eavesdrop on them, only a fellow expert of the same level could stop him.

However, seeing his disciple’s cautious approach, Master Lian wouldn’t deliberately try to overhear them.

"The Soltice Ring has mutated," Amalia said calmly.

"Oh, has the top layer been unlocked?" Kenny Lin’s reaction was even calmer than hers.

Amalia shook her head, "I always thought the Soltice Ring was under some sort of restriction and preventing me from accessing higher-level techniques to make me not advance too quickly."

"You think too much. Who cares if you advance quickly or not?" Kenny Lin said.

Amalia shot him a look that carried an implicit threat, "Do you still want to hear what I have to say?"

Kenny Lin immediately made a gesture for her to continue, "Please, go ahead."

Amalia continued, "The true nature of the Soltice Ring is actually like that of a defensive-type artifact, though it has storage properties. The bookshelf on the top level is actually sealing the artifact’s spirit."

"An artifact spirit?" Kenny Lin frowned.

"Yes, the higher the level of the artifact the more likely it is to develop a spirit. The Soltice Ring must have been a top-tier artifact initially, so it’s not surprising it had a spirit. But it seems that the spirit has dissipated."

"Then does that mean, after the upgrade, there’s no benefit?"

"Not exactly. There are now more books."

"Are they cultivation techniques?"

Amalia shook her head, though she had hoped so, "No, they are related to the Mystic Void continent—mostly on human culture, geography, and some books on alchemy and artifact refining."

"I read a few of them and found that although these books seem common, they are different from those in the Green Lotus Sect’s Library Pavilion. They mostly discuss things from a long time ago, which are rarely documented now."

Hearing the upward inflection in her tone, Kenny Lin smiled.l, "It seems the harvest is not small."

Amalia nodded her head, "I suspect that the owner of the Soltice Ring might have been a powerful figure in the Mystic Void continent many years ago."

"Is there anything inside explaining why the Soltice Ring ended up in the Interstellar world?" Kenny Lin asked.

"No," Amalia shook her head, "I suspect it might have something to do with a spatial rift."

"In that case, could this powerful figure possibly be the elder from the Eternal One Sect who created the Eight Divine Blades?" Kenny Lin’s sharp, chiseled eyebrows furrowed again.

This indeed posed a problem.

If the Soltice Ring truly belonged to that elder from the Eternal One Sect, it would be difficult to reveal it in the future.

The Soltice Ring had already been refined by Amalia.

If she were asked to sever her bond with the ring, she would suffer a backlash and causing a significant drop in her cultivation level.

Another way would be to kill her.

Without its owner, the spiritual imprint left in the ring would gradually weaken, eventually making it an ownerless object.

"The possibility is indeed high."

This posed a potentially major problem for them, given that the Eternal One Sect was a renowned sect comparable to the Green Lotus Sect.

Kenny Lin chuckled lightly, "If they really dare to come and snatch it, then we’ll just kill whoever comes."

"Let’s not worry about that for now. Did you buy the elixirs I asked for?" Amalia asked as she walked towards the house.

Once inside, Kenny Lin took out everything he had acquired during his trip.

A huge pile of bottles and jars, all containing elixirs, along with numerous spiritual herbs, exceeded Amalia’s expectations.

"Did you rob a pharmacy?"

"Of course not. Do you think I’m that kind of person? Even as a Junior Master Uncle, I have my pride. I bought all these with spirit stones," Kenny Lin said disdainfully.
