Chapter 647: Ding Huiqing (Part 2)

"You b*tch..." Ding Huiqing’s face twisted with anger.

Although many people secretly thought the same, Amalia was the first one to dare say it in front of his face.

"Huiqing, he actually mocked us," his companions were incredulous.

Did this person not know who they were?

"Huiqing, teach him a lesson," his companion urged.

They didn’t recognize Amalia and assumed she had no significant background or backing since they had met the true disciples of all the peak masters.

"Junior Sister, don’t lower yourself to their level," Mahamu Tang said, believing Amalia had no significant background after realizing she wasn’t Master Lian’s disciple.

He worried that a conflict with Ding Huiqing and his group would be disadvantageous for her.

In public, Ding Huiqing and his group might not dare do anything to Amalia, but behind the scenes, they could resort to underhanded tactics or harass her occasionally.

"Don’t worry, they’re just a bunch of nobodies," Amalia said, not taking them seriously at all.

"Nobody?" Ding Huiqing was so angry he laughed.

Amalia glanced at him, "Cultivators with weak willpower will never become an important person. They’ll only end up as cannon fodder."

Ding Huiqing didn’t know what "cannon fodder" meant, but he knew it wasn’t a good thing.

"Fine, today I’ll show you how a nobody can beat you to the ground!"

Ding Huiqing felt like his heart was about to explode with anger.

"Ding Huiqing, I advise against it. You’re no match for Junior Sister Amalia. She can kill a Great leader-level devil at the peak of perfection, let alone deal with you," Arasen Xiao cautioned.

His words only fueled Ding Huiqing’s anger further.

It was clear he was implying that even several Golden Core stage cultivators together couldn’t defeat Amalia.

"I just can’t believe it. She’s at the early Golden Core stage. How could she possibly be a match for the four of us, who are all at the early and mid-Golden Core stages?"

Arasen Xiao frowned, "Trust me, even if you were at the late Golden Core stage, you wouldn’t be her match."

Ding Huiqing and his group’s anger was skyrocketing, almost to the point of steam coming out of their ears.

"Senior Brother Xiao, please stop talking," Mahamu Tang quickly pulled him back, worried that if he continued, Ding Huiqing and his group would be determined to fight Amalia to the death.

If this escalated, how could Amalia, without any backing, contend with Ding Huiqing and his group?

Arasen Xiao sighed.

Why wouldn’t Ding Huiqing listen to him?

But it was understandable.

Without witnessing it firsthand, no one would believe that a cultivator who was once at the peak of the Foundation Building stage could slay a devil that was a whole major realm higher than her.

"If I don’t teach you a lesson today, I won’t be called Ding Huiqing," Ding Huiqing said while rolling up his sleeves, his anger skyrocketing.

"Who are you planning to teach a lesson?" At that moment, a calm yet eerie voice suddenly rang out.

The voice sounded familiar.

Ding Huiqing paused for a moment before recognizing it.

When he turned his head, he saw Renshu Chang standing quietly not far away, watching him with a somewhat peculiar expression.

"Senior Brother Chang, what are you doing here?" Ding Huiqing asked in surprise.

Renshu Chang was the Sect Leader’s personal disciple, able to learn anything directly from the Sect Leader without needing to participate in trials like Arasen Xiao and the others.

He had no reason to be here.

"Who did you just say you were going to teach a lesson?"

Renshu Chang didn’t answer; instead, he looked at him with an odd expression.

"Senior Brother Chang, I was just going to teach someone who insulted me a lesson. It’s no big deal," Ding Huiqing said, feeling strange just with Renshu Chang’s attitude.

Normally, Renshu Chang would step in to mediate.

Renshu Chang ignored him and looked at Amalia, smiling, "Junior Sister, what are you doing in the illusion realm? If I had known it, I would have come to support you."

"My master asked me to come here for some training," Amalia replied with a nonchalant smile.

Renshu Chang swallowed hard, realizing it was the idea of Senior Tian.

"Senior Brother Chang, do you know her?" Ding Huiqing asked.

"Of course, I know her," Renshu Chang glanced at him and said, "No need to ask further. You quickly apologize to her, and we’ll pretend today’s incident never happened. Otherwise, even I can’t help you."

Ding Huiqing’s face turned bright red.

"Why should I apologize to her?" Ding Huiqing finally squeezed out this sentence.

Renshu Chang’s face turned stern, "I haven’t even addressed your gambling behavior, and now you’re taking your anger out on Junior Sister Amalia. Do you really think you can justify your behavior?"

Ding Huiqing didn’t dare offend Renshu Chang, but that didn’t mean he feared him, "I can let that go, but she insulted me."

"What did she say to insult you?" Renshu Chang asked.

Ding Huiqing couldn’t bring himself to repeat it.

"I said your willpower is weak, and in the future, you’ll only be a small fry or cannon fodder. That’s not an insult, it’s a statement of fact. You don’t have to accept it, but you can’t deny it. It is what it is," Amalia said to him.

There was a stifled laugh from the crowd.

"Senior Brother Chang, did you hear that? She actually called me a small fry and cannon fodder!" Ding Huiqing glared at her, thinking, who asked you to speak for me?

"Did Junior Sister Amalia say anything wrong?" Renshu Chang thought he had narrowly escaped blurting out the wrong title.

Ding Huiqing finally realized, "You’re all in this together."

Amalia chuckled softly, "If by ’together’ you mean right and wrong, then yes."

Ding Huiqing’s eyes widened again.

His eyes were already large, but now they seemed even bigger.

"Senior Brother Chang is right. You can’t defeat her in a fight, and you can’t win in an argument. Why humiliate yourself?"

Arasen Xiao didn’t understand why he was pushing it.

Senior Brother Chang had already stepped in to defend Amalia, and Ding Huiqing still couldn’t see it.
