Chapter 637: Luminous Gold Formation (Part 2)
After studying formations for over ten days, Amalia had made significant progress.
This formation wasn’t set up with a formation disk or formation flags, but to deploy such a massive formation, the person who arranged it must be highly skilled, especially proficient in the way of formations.
"Hidden Formation, Ice Formation, Fire Formation, why are they all killing Formation!"
Another disciple was being pulled in,l and facing various killing formations that startled him.
He narrowly dodged the lethal attacks and then saw Amalia.
With a look of joy, he was about to approach her when the air around him suddenly fluctuated.
A rift opened in the sky, spitting out a person who fell directly to the ground.
"Oh my gosh, that hurt!"
"Junior Sister Su!"
The disciple was even more delighted when he saw her face and rushed to help her up.
"How did you end up here too?"
"Senior Brother? It’s great to finally see you! Why are you the only one here?" Junior Sister Su stood up, holding her waist, with tears of joy at seeing someone familiar.
The Senior Brother replied, "Everyone else has been eliminated. The formations this time are incredibly powerful, and the demonic beasts inside are very strong. I’ve heard this is supposed to be a difficult level, but it feels like a hell level."
Junior Sister Su’s eyes darted around, "So, a lot of people have been eliminated. We might be among the few who haven’t been?"
The Senior Brother nodded his head, "Probably. We haven’t seen many fellow disciples around."
"Haha, once we get out of here, my ranking will definitely improve," Junior Sister Su said, thrilled.
Then she noticed Amalia, "Who is she?"
The Senior Brother shook his head, "I don’t know. She was already here when I arrived. Maybe she’s a senior disciple."
"Doesn’t seem like it." Junior Sister Su squinted, "With that face if I’d seen her before, I wouldn’t forget."
The Senior Brother was taken aback, "What do you mean, Sister?"
Junior Sister Su whispered, "Could she be a devil? The devils this time are very strong. It’s possible she could be possessed."
They thought they were speaking quietly, not realizing Amalia could hear them clearly.
Her cultivation had improved significantly over the past month, now reaching the peak of the Foundation Building stage.
In a little more time, she could condense the liquefied spiritual energy in her dantian into a Golden Core.
Amalia ignored them.
This large and complex formation was difficult to break, and doing it one by one was neither easy nor efficient.
If she could find the formation eye, she could control the other formations through it, making it easier to understand the structure of this formation.
"I don’t think so. If she were really a devil, she would have approached us by now," the Senior Brother shook his head in denial.
"We’ll find out soon enough," Junior Sister Su said as she walked toward Amalia, "Senior Sister, I haven’t seen you before. Which peak are you from?"
Amalia was observing the Ice Formation when she heard Junior Sister Su.
"Main Peak," she replied.
Junior Sister Su smiled, "We’re also from the Main Peak. Why does it seem like we’ve never met you?"
"I joined the Main Peak recently," Amalia answered briefly.
"I remember now. Two months ago, the Green Lotus Sect held a recruitment competition. You must be one of the new recruits. What’s your name?" Junior Sister Su asked, feigning realization.
"Amalia."
"So, you’re Junior Sister Amalia," Junior Sister Su said, smiling as she walked closer, "What are you doing?"
Amalia glanced at her but didn’t respond or answer her question.
"Junior Sister Amalia is probably studying the formations here," the Senior Brother answered on her behalf, as it was obvious to anyone with eyes.
He wondered what Junior Sister Su was planning.
Turning around to look at her, he suddenly saw her raising her sword and couldn’t help but widen his eyes.
"Junior Sister Su, what are you doing?" he silently questioned her with his gaze.
Junior Sister Su winked at him, implying, "This person is clearly suspicious. Can’t you see?"
The Senior Brother was confused.
What was suspicious about Junior Sister Amalia?
Seeing that he still didn’t understand, Junior Sister Su didn’t bother explaining.
She thrust her sword toward Amalia’s back.
The seemingly foolproof strike missed its target.
A blade light flashed, striking Junior Sister Su’s sword and forcing her, despite being prepared, to retreat several steps before she could steady herself.
"Junior Sister Su, why did you attack Junior Sister Amalia?" The Senior Brother still couldn’t understand.
Junior Sister Su’s face darkened.
She hadn’t expected Amalia to be prepared.
Feeling Annoyed, she said, "Senior Brother, can’t you see? This so-called Junior Sister Amalia is actually a devil."
The Senior Brother was startled, "A devil? How is that possible? She doesn’t look like one at all!"
"Of course not. devils don’t have it written on their faces. If I’m saying this, it’s because I have evidence," Junior Sister Su said confidently.
Amalia coldly stared at her, "What evidence?"
Junior Sister Su sneered, "You claimed to be a disciple recruited during the competition two months ago, but as far as I know, there was no one named Amalia among those recruited for the Main Peak.
When you fabricated this lie, you probably didn’t think that I was there.
I saw the elder bring back two new disciples to the Main Peak, and you weren’t one of them.
Your biggest mistake was claiming to be from the Main Peak. If you had said you were from one of the Eight Peaks, I might have believed you, but you chose the Main Peak."
"So that’s it," the Senior Brother realized, looking at Amalia with suspicion.
It didn’t make sense for anyone but a devil to impersonate a Main Peak disciple.
"Good analysis, but you’re overconfident," Amalia said, understanding their reasoning but deciding not to bother with them.
"Devil, prepare to die!" Junior Sister Su raised her sword to attack.
