He then recounted in detail how they had accidentally discovered a small valley with hundreds of Timberdense Flowers and nectar, and how they were ambushed by two leader-level Devils.

If he had been more cautious, this might not have happened.

"When we return, I will ask for punishment from the sect."

The Uncle Master patted his shoulder and sighed, "You shouldn’t blame yourself too much. Such things are unpredictable. Those two Devils are likely discovered the flowers just before you did but hadn’t harvested them yet when you arrived. It’s fate. But, since you were ambushed by so many Devils, how did you manage to escape safely?"

"It’s embarrassing to say, but it was two disciples from the Green Lotus Sect who saved us."

The Uncle Master had assumed that Duàn Shaoqing had fought bravely and killed the two Devils.

But, he was surprised to learn it was the Green Lotus Sect, so he nodded his head and said, "Two Golden Core disciples from the Green Lotus Sect happened to pass by?"

Duàn Shaoqing felt embarrassed and said, "No, it wasn’t two Golden Core disciples. It was a Golden Core senior brother and a Foundation Building junior sister."

"Uncle Master, you don’t understand. They were so unreasonable. We found the Timberdense Flowers and nectar first, but they took four-fifths of it," complained Dai Xiuying, who had been holding in her anger and immediately jumped in to report the injustice.

The Uncle Master showed a surprised expression as he looked at Kenny Lin, "Is that so?"

Duan Shaoqing nodded his head gently, feeling ashamed, "Yes, at that time, I was ambushed by two leader-level Devils and got seriously injured due to my carelessness."

The Uncle Master nodded in understanding, "It happens; fate plays a role too. You don’t need to burden yourself too much."

The Heavenly Dominion Sect, alongside the Green Lotus Sect, stood as the two major sects in the Mystic Void Continent.

They were not lacking in resources, especially for things only used by Golden Core cultivators.

There was no need to dwell too much on such matters; cultivation was more important.

"I understand, that’s why I’ve never been concerned about it," Duan Shaoqing replied calmly.

The Uncle Master looked relieved.

As his nephew, he had high talent with genuine spiritual veins, though not as exceptional as those top geniuses with heavenly spiritual veins.

Yet, with his broad-mindedness and attitude, he could still go far.

"Uncle Master, is that the end of this matter?" Dai Xiuying asked discontentedly.
