Chapter 594: Test (Part 2)

Amalia was surprised, "Isn’t the Devil Battlefield a space created by powerful beings? How is it related to the Forbidden Mountain Range?"

"It certainly is," Renshu Chang confirmed. "The so-called Devil Battlefield actually extends from the continent east of the Forbidden Mountain Range. It appears as an alternate dimension but is essentially a cordoned-off part of the eastern continent turned into a battlefield."

"The eastern part of the Mystic Void Continent was the most mysterious and dangerous area before it became the Devil Battlefield."

"Understood," Amalia nodded.

"Oh, by the way, if you’re going to the Devil Battlefield, it’s best to exchange for a map at the Contribution Hall. It’s a benefit for inner sect disciples, but it requires some contributions," Renshu Chang advised.

"I only have twenty contribution points," Amalia replied.

These points were given by the sect as benefits.

"No problem, you can put it on credit for now, just pay it back next month. If it goes overdue, you’ll owe more. This rule is meant to encourage disciples to practice diligently," Renshu Chang explained.

"However, you probably won’t be able to put much on credit for the first time, as the sect evaluates based on a disciple’s strength and repayment ability. They adjust it later," Renshu Chang added after some thought.

"Thank you, Senior Brother Chang," Amalia expressed her gratitude as they reached the foot of the mountain.

Renshu Chang waved his hand, "No need to thank me. It’s what older brothers should do. Are you heading to the Contribution Hall? I’m actually going back to the main peak."

"Yeah, I’ll go check it out," Amalia nodded.

Renshu Chang led her to a teleportation array where they spent two contribution points each and teleporting them to the foot of the main peak.

"The teleportation arrays within the sect cost one contribution point per person each time," Renshu Chang explained out of habit.

Along the way, they encountered fellow brothers and sisters from the main peak, all of whom greeted Renshu Chang warmly.

Amalia could see that Renshu Chang was very popular among them.

The Contribution Hall stood like a towering spire, grand and imposing, with a glistening golden plaque hanging outside, its inscription commanding respect and attention.

"Here’s the Contribution Hall. Let me take you inside," Renshu Chang said, familiar with the attendant.

After exchanging pleasantries, they entered together.

Amalia followed him to another attendant inside the hall, "Elder Jiang, I’m bringing Junior Sister here to purchase a map of the Devil Battlefield," Renshu Chang announced.

Elder Jiang opened his eyes, "The old rules."

"Understood," Renshu Chang said to Amalia, "Junior Sister, there are three types of maps for the Devil Battlefield. With your current contribution points, you can only afford the simplest one. My suggestion is to start with that, so you can get a general understanding of the battlefield."

"I’ll follow your advice, Senior Senior Brother Chang," Amalia replied without objection.

"Elder Jiang, let’s put eighty contribution points on credit for now," Renshu Chang said to the elder.

After the contribution points were transferred, Elder Jiang immediately handed them a jade slip.

"Junior Sister, affix the jade slip to your forehead and use your spiritual consciousness to activate it," Renshu Chang instructed.

Amalia did as instructed.

The jade slip was a one-time consumable; once she had absorbed the information inside, it will disappeared, leaving a detailed map in her mind.

The map purchased for one hundred contribution points was indeed the simplest one.

It’s like a map that was magnified many times over to show only major geographical features.

"The Devil Battlefield is indeed vast, just as Renshu Chang described," Amalia remarked.

"Since we’re here, Junior Sister, would you like to go inside and take a look?" Renshu Chang suggested again.

"Sure," Amalia responded decisively.

She was curious about the techniques of Mystic Void Continent.

The techniques and mental methods in the Contribution Hall were separated.

The Mental methods improved one’s realm and cultivation level, while techniques enhanced combat prowess.

The Eight Gods Blades that Amalia had learned before belonged to the category of techniques and was considered an advanced level sword technique in the Soltice Ring.

As for mental methods, she had also learned an advanced level one.

However, Amalia had always thought that there must be higher-level mental methods and techniques sealed within the Soltice Ring, but even after they arrived at Mystic Void Continent, the full extent of the Soltice Ring’s capabilities remained undisclosed.

Apart from defense and storage functions, she hadn’t discovered any additional features of the Soltice Ring up to now.

"The techniques and mental methods in the Contribution Hall are numerous, but it’s important to find what suits you best. There’s no need to rush your decision."

After a brief tour, they exited the hall.

Amalia observed that the highest level of techniques and mental methods in the Contribution Hall was advanced level.

The top level techniques and mental methods she had anticipated were not on display.

"Senior Brother Chang, does the Contribution Hall have higher-level techniques and mental methods?" Amalia asked.

Renshu Chang understood immediately and smiled, "Of course, but those are not available to the public. However, you might not need them in the future."

"Oh?" Amalia looked at him inquisitively.

"If you become a disciple of Senior Tian, she will teach you better techniques and mental methods."

Renshu Chang didn’t mention the alternative, fearing it might discourage Amalia.

"That makes sense." Amalia smiled and bowed her head slightly, "Thank you for explaining so much to me, Senior Brother Chang."

"It’s my duty."

Watching Amalia descend the mountain, Renshu Chang turned around to head back.

Along the way, he encountered a few junior brothers and sisters.

"Senior Brother Chang, who was that person you were accompanying?"

"She is Junior Sister Amalia, who just joined the Green Lotus Sect. I accompanied you all when you first joined, didn’t I?" Renshu Chang chuckled and shook his head.

One junior sister exclaimed, "That’s different! Back then, you guided many of us at once. Is this Junior Sister Amalia a personal disciple of Master Uncle?"
