Chapter 569: Cultivation World (Part 4)

On a bright and sunny morning, Amalia and Kenny Lin decided to seal the spatial rift and explore the other world.

Many people came to see them off.

Among the human spiritual cultivators were Alus Restor, Canadane Zhao, and Mr. Lin, while the marine race was led by the Sea King and his followers.

Alus Restor and the others had planned to keep their actions secret from Mr. Lin, but he found out anyway.

"If you don’t return, I’ll come find you myself," Mr. Lin said sternly.

Despite his deep reluctance to let them take this risk, he held back for the sake of humanity.

Kenny Lin’s older brother also came, although he was silent, he wore sullen expression on his face.

"Amalia, you must come back safely. I’ll take care of your parents and grandfather until you return," said Florentino Yoder.

"Thank you, Great Uncle. I appreciate it," Amalia replied.

Florentino Yoder wanted to ask if she can not go but knew it was futile.

Amalia could see through his concern but chose to ignore it.

Her motivation wasn’t mere curiosity about the other world but the hope that it held a cure for Kenny Lin’s condition.

"May you both return safely," Alus Restor sighed.

It was ironic that such a dangerous task fell on two young people, despite the presence of the strong human spiritual cultivators.

"Grandpa, I..." Stephen Zhao suddenly said while looking at Amalia and Kenny Lin.

Canadane Zhao cut him off, "Don’t even think about it. They have the Yin-Yang Pearl and a chance to survive. You don’t have anything. Going in would be suicidal."

He knew his grandson’s thoughts well.

Zanilia Zhao felt dejected.

He, too, wanted to explore the world beyond the spatial rift.

As they were about to leave, Alus Restor handed them something similar to the storage items that the Sea King had given them.

They didn’t need to check to know what was inside.

"Enough, stop being so sentimental," Kenny Lin said while looking at the people who had come to speak with Amalia.

His irritation was reaching its peak.

They weren’t going to die, yet everyone acted as if they would never return.

"Brat, how dare you speak like that? The old man is just concerned about you. Even if you’re not happy about it, you’ll have to endure it," Mr. Lin suddenly shouted.

Kenny Lin seemed stunned, staring at his father in silence.

After his outburst, Mr. Lin felt a mix of guilt and pain.

It wasn’t that he feared his youngest son would give him a bas look in front of everyone—he was used to that—but he had never been able to bring himself to scold or hit him since he was a child.

"Whatever," Kenny Lin said, averting his gaze.

Mr. Lin was taken aback.

It was the first time his youngest son hadn’t left impatiently.

His heart swelled with emotion.

"When you get there, don’t go too wild. If there’s a chance, send us a message to let us know how you’re doing..."

Mr. Lin continued talking, but the others didn’t know what to say.

This was quite something.

It seemed Mr. Lin had a lot of confidence in them, even telling them not to have too much fun.

It was as if he believed they could easily navigate the other world and thrive immediately.

As for sending messages, no one dared to imagine how.

Communicating between two worlds through a spatial rift seemed impossible.

Nonetheless, no one interrupted Mr. Lin.

His optimism was infectious and keeping everyone’s spirits from falling too low.

Finally, Kenny Lin couldn’t stand it anymore and cut him off.

"We’ll talk when I get back."

Mr. Lin’s face lit up with a smile, "Alright, I’ll be waiting for you."

"We’re leaving," Kenny Lin said and pulling Amalia along as they headed towards the sea.

Near the few meters wide spatial rift, the Yin-Yang Pearl hovered, its presence unrestrained by Kenny Lin.

Amalia cast several defensive spells on them before they entered the spatial rift without looking back.

The two figures were instantly swallowed by the black substance emerging from the rift.

No one among the humans and marine race members left.

Amalia and Kenny Lin were not only venturing into another world but also attempting to close the spatial rift.

Several minutes later, the rift hadn’t shrunk, nor had the black substance and fierce winds decreased.

Amid the anxious crowd, someone suddenly exclaimed.

"Is the rift getting smaller?"

The change was barely noticeable, less than a centimeter, but the observing spiritual cultivators still noticed it.

The spatial rift was closing very slowly, indicating that Amalia and Kenny Lin would need to stay inside for a long time.

Everyone worried about whether they could last that long.

During their time in the Sea Of Death, Kenny Lin had attempted to closing the rift from outside with minimal success.

Later, they realized that working from within might be more effective.

An hour later, the rift had shrunk by half, but the closing speed was slowed down.

Those who hadn’t experienced it firsthand were drenched in cold sweat.

After an indeterminate amount of time, the rift was reduced to less than ten centimeters.

Suddenly, a surge of energy caused it to expand by ten centimeters again and causing everyone’s hearts to race.

The most anxious were Mr. Lin and Florentino Yoder.

Their eyes were wide with fear, thinking something had gone wrong inside.

Just then, the energy from the rift condensed into a single point, and the rift vanished instantly.

The waters of the Sea Of Death were still violently churning but gradually calmed and becoming as calm as a pool.

The crisis in the Sea Of Death, the crisis of the Marine race , and the crisis of humanity were all resolved.

They had succeeded.

While humanity was still in shock, the marine race side were erupted in cheers.

They no longer had to worry about their water being drying up or their homes disappearing.
