Chapter 548: Ying-Yang Pearl (Part 4)

If it had known that this human could wield such power, it wouldn’t have been so careless.

How had the male Goblashark not warned it?

The hastily conjured defense shattered upon contact with Amalia’s blade energy.

The toxin-laden seawater was instantly eradicated by the blade.

"I can’t believe this! Why? Why!" the Aipysk cried out as it failed to evade Amalia’s Three Gods Blade.

The blade’s energy struck it directly.

Due to arrogance and underestimation, the Aipysk paid the ultimate price with its life.

Its flesh was shredded by the blade’s energy, leaving only a few teeth sinking into the depths after the waters calmed.

Amalia collected these teeth, noting their hardness despite the loss of flesh.

If the Aipysk hadn’t underestimated her and attacked seriously from the start, she might not have won.

The death of the Aipysk didn’t affect the battle above.

The male Goblashark and others were still unaware that their highly-regarded ally had been killed.

Except for the Abyssard and Pyrosplash who had come to help from below, they were trembling and clinging to each other.

They suddenly felt extremely fortunate for not having fought this human earlier, or they would have been the ones dead now.

"Are all humans this fierce now? Even the powerful Aipysk was killed in one move," they thought.

Suddenly, several blade energies flew out, striking some marine-type mutated creatures, killing some and severely injuring others.

"What terrifying sword energy, so powerful!" Some high-level mutated creatures were shocked and quickly moved away from the area where the blade energy had broken through the surface.

"Why does this sword energy seem familiar?"

Some strong fighters who had fought alongside Amalia in Fruit City No. 1 couldn’t recognize it due to certain reasons.

"No matter what, only a human could use sword energy. It seems things below are fine," others concluded, relieved that everyone was still safe.

"This sword energy is so strange. I felt threatened for a moment," muttered a nearby spiritual cultivators guard, his eyes revealing his shock.

However, few people in the present had seen Amalia using the Eight Gods Blade, so no one recognized it.

"She’s gotten even stronger," Zanilia Zhao remarked while taking a deep breath as she watched the scene unfold underwater.

Nicholas Sabate who is witnessing this scene for the first time, asked, "What kind of sword technique is that? Even top-tier high-level mutated creatures aren’t her match."

Zanilia Zhao recalled a rumor, "It’s said that during the defense of Fruit City No. 1, she used a powerful sword technique. The Rodriguez and Yoder families even wanted to steal it from her."

"A sword technique with such immense power would tempt anyone," Nicholas Sabate said with a wry smile.

Just then, a sudden tremor shook the ground and water, causing the seawater to tilt in one direction.

Everyone, both humans and marine-type mutated creatures, looked in the direction of the tremor in shock.

Underwater, a shadowy figure moved at lightning speed towards Amalia.

Amalia’s arm was grabbed, and just as she was about to counterattack, she realized that the one holding her was the Sea King.

The Sea King’s aura was unstable, and the luster of his scales had dimmed considerably, indicating that he was seriously injured.

"Follow me."

A low voice sounded in her ear, and the Sea King quickly swam with Amalia toward Kenny Lin.

The marine-type mutated creatures who is attacking Nicholas Sabate and Zanilia Zhao stopped immediately upon seeing their former king.

"He’s no longer our king! What are you all standing around for? Kill him, and we’ll be heroes!"

Shouted a high-level mutated creature with strong willpower, and eyes full of malice.

The Sea King glanced at it, a look colder than usual in his eyes.

The mutated creature shuddered and exploded before it could continue speaking.

The other marine-type mutated creatures were about to move but froze in place.

They now realized that the Sea King before them had once been the ruler of their lives and deaths, the king of this sea.

After one mutated creature fled, the rest followed suit, swimming away hastily.

"You are severely injured."

Amalia noticed the strong smell of blood emanating from the Sea King.

She hesitated for a moment before sending a wave of healing energy into his body.

The Sea King didn’t refuse.

He could feel the gentleness of the energy; though it was only a drop in the ocean, he appreciated her goodwill.

"Thank you," the Sea King said hoarsely.

"Amalia."

Nicholas Sabate and Stephen Zhao watched them from a distance.

With the marine-type mutated creatures scared off by the Sea King, they no longer needed to fight.

"You two should leave here first."

Amalia who is suspecting that the mutated creature would soon arrive, knew they would be in danger if they stayed.

"What about you?"

They could tell that the Sea King had no intention of harming Amalia.

"I’ll finish up here and join Kenny. With the Sea King here, there’s no need for many people to stay."

Amalia found an excuse to send them away.

Without much thought, they agreed.

If a mutated creature could overpower the Sea King, they wouldn’t stand a chance.

"Be careful, and call us if you need anything."

"I will," Amalia nodded.

After they left, the Sea King led Amalia to Kenny Lin.

Seeing Kenny Lin channeling energy into the Yin-Yang Pearl, the Sea King’s gaze shifted to the high-level crystal core in his hand, his eyes reflecting a mix of complex emotions.

"I did not misjudge you."

"What about that mutated creature?" Amalia asked.

"Your strong allies are holding him off for now, but I don’t have much time left," the Sea King’s dark, alluring voice simultaneously reached Amalia and Kenny Lin’s ears.

"Speak," Amalia said, noticing he had something important to share.

"The Primal Megalodon is very powerful. Your companions likely won’t be able to hold him off for long. Once he arrives here, he will undoubtedly cause destruction. The Primal Megalodon is a prehistoric monster from Earth’s history, adhering to the law of survival of the fittest. If the Ying-Yang Pearl falls into his hands, it will be a disaster for all Earth’s species. I hope you can help me."

The Sea King’s voice was deep and deliberate.

Amalia’s expression turned to shock at the mention of the Primal Megalodon.

She had heard of its fearsome reputation even in her previous life.
