Chapter 526: King Of The Sea (Part 5)
Amalia was somewhat surprised.
So, even the Sea King couldn’t do it.
Her curiosity about the origin of the black fragments grew even more, "I originally obtained eight black fragments, and three were eaten by it, leaving only five, which is the number still missing."
The King’s dark gaze focused on Wealth, but there was no disturbance in its eyes, leaving its thoughts unclear.
Wealth hid behind its owner, even tucking its tail away.
"Its bloodline is very special; otherwise, it wouldn’t be able to bite into the black fragments."
Since they were consumed, there was no possibility of making it spit them out.
The King quickly let the matter go, as it wouldn’t dwell on meaningless things.
"You’re disappointed. It’s just an ordinary Lumina Scales Komodo," Amalia said disdainfully while pulling it out.
It didn’t gain much strength despite consuming so much, but its appetite increased significantly.
Other than that, it had no other purpose.
"Hand over the remaining black fragments to me," the King demanded.
Amalia hesitated.
The black fragments were now the only bargaining chip in her hands.
"Give them to him," Kenny Lin stepped forward, standing shoulder to shoulder with her, "For him, there’s not much difference between missing eight pieces and missing three pieces."
The King glanced at him, "Among humans, there are still such insightful individuals."
Amalia reached into her pocket and pulled out five small boxes containing black fragments.
With a flick of her wrist, she tossed them over.
The five small boxes arced through the water, heading towards the King.
At that moment, a violent disturbance echoed from outside the palace, altering the trajectory of the five black boxes.
Above the palace, a loud noise shook the entire roof, sending it flying.
"Protect the King," the voice of the male Goblashark echoed from above, and its massive figure descended from the sky, accompanied by a human.
The aftermath of their battle caused continuous ripples, completely changing the direction of the five small boxes.
At the entrance, a black shadow imperceptible to others swiftly darted towards the five small boxes, resembling a black lightning bolt.
"You seek death," the King instantly noticed the presence of the intruder, a hint of anger flashing across its face.
With a flick of its tail, a transparent giant hand instantly slapped towards the black shadow.
The shadow immediately changed direction, flipping and leaping high, narrowly avoiding the transparent giant hand.
The five small boxes floated in the water, slowly sinking downwards under the Earth’s gravity.
A smaller black shadow dashed towards the five small boxes below, attempting to take them away.
Kenny Lin raised an eyebrow slightly, and the spirit sword appeared instantly in his hand.
With a swift stroke, the entity trying to steal the items was cut in half before it could even scream.
A strand of black energy simultaneously gathered the five small boxes together, swiftly returning them to him.
"Our things aren’t that easy to take," Kenny Lin smirked as he handed the five small boxes to Amalia.
Amalia took back the five boxes, having calculated three steps for the five black fragments.
First, she had orchestrated a diversion with the male Goblashark, intentionally drawing their attention.
Then, she had sent someone to make them think that person was the true culprit.
In reality, it wasn’t.
The little creature that Kenny Lin had slain was the final culprit.
The male Goblashark’s sinister gaze fell upon the two humans.
They had dared to disrupt his plan.
Although he couldn’t reveal his true intentions in front of the King, humans, and mutated creatures were natural enemies.
Even if he killed them, the King couldn’t say anything.
The male Goblashark’s killing intent surged instantly, his reaction too obvious.
Amalia and Kenny Lin quickly noticed the hostility emanating from the male Goblashark.
Just as he was about to explode, several human spiritual cultivators rushed in.
The person at the forefront shouted.
"Amalia, Kenny Lin, you’ve actually colluded with mutated creatures! The evidence is clear. Let’s see how you’ll deny it!"
The male Goblashark immediately stopped, and internal strife ensued among the humans.
"Who are you?" Amalia squinted at the newcomer, a stranger’s face she hadn’t seen before.
"From the Yoder family," Kenny Lin recognized.
Amalia smirked, "What is the Yoder family doing here? You guys haven’t been helpful at all. Yet, you running out so proactively to throw dirty water one people."
"Whether it’s dirty water or not, others can testify, and you can’t deny it. Everyone here saw you hand over the black fragments to the King of the Marine Race."
The speaker was Regis Yoder, who had a mean appearance and was Raithwall Yoder’s uncle.
He had taken over twenty wives, none of whom lived for more than five years.
Besides him, there were several other members of the Yoder family, along with President Luis and Canadane Zhao.
What surprised Amalia was that Zanilia Zhao had also come.
The latter noticed her gaze and nodded her head slightly.
Somehow, they all came down, and there were still loud noises coming from the surface, indicating that someone was still fighting with marine-type mutated creatures.
"We all saw it with our own eyes. President Luis and Senior Zhao also witnessed it," other members of the Yoder family immediately echoed.
President Luis and Canadane Zhao both frowned; neither believed that Amalia and Kenny Lin would collude with the King of the Marine Race.
"Seeing with your own eyes doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the truth. Defining people without understanding the situation is not a good habit," Canadane Zhao said.
Regis Yoder squinted his dangerous eyes, "Canadane Zhao, I know you’re protecting them because of Klaus Lin. This time, the evidence is conclusive. It’s not the Yoder family falsely accusing them."
"Besides, if they didn’t collude with the King of the Marine Race, how did they break through the heavy siege of the Marine Race and arrive here unscathed? Did you hear or see them fighting?"
Regis Yoder was aggressive, but Canadane Zhao was not easily intimidated.
