Chapter 479: Assassin (Part 3)

Now he believed Amalia’s words.

The loud commotion caused by the assassins indicated that the real danger was upon them.

"I’m willing to testify. You must protect me!"

Ángel Solana grabbed Amalia’s hand urgently.

Amalia pulled away her hand from him and said to Ernesto, "Take him away. I’ll stop these people."

"Be careful."

Ernesto knew that staying behind would only be a hindrance.

There was no need for hesitation.

Amalia handed Ernesto a few amulets, "If he dares to run, just capture him, don’t kill him."

Ángel Solana shuddered when he caught sight of the advanced level amulets in Ernesto’s hand.

He dared not think too much about it.

Not long after Ernesto left with Ángel Solana, the back door was blasted open with a loud bang.

A group of figures in black clothes rushed out from the smoke.

Several of them wielding weapons and simultaneously thrusting their attack towards Amalia.

The fluctuations created by their spiritual powers caused the walls on both sides to crack.

Amalia watched the approaching shadows and suddenly took out a spiritual artifact in her hand.

She didn’t use the Eight God Blade; instead, she swung her sword directly.

A beam of light flashed in the dimming sky, striking one of the assassins in black clothes.

With a splattering sound, blood sprayed out, and though the assailant didn’t immediately die, they were severely wounded.

Amalia’s feet stirred up a gust of wind as she flew through the air, swiftly arriving in front of the second assassin in black clothes.

The assassin saw the surge of spiritual energy on Amalia’s sword and immediately counterattacked, dodging to the side.

As the sword descended, its speed was so fast that only a cold light could be seen.

Contrary to the assassin’s expectation, the sword didn’t hit them; instead, it struck them directly between the eyebrows.

The assassin didn’t even have time to scream; they were split in half by the blade, blood splattering onto nearby buildings, creating a gruesome scene as it dripped down, resembling red graffiti.

Without even sparing a glance, Amalia turned around.

A burst of energy shot towards the black-clad assailant who had been severely wounded by her earlier strike.

The energy pierced through their body, sending them tumbling off the wall and to their demise, instantly silenced.

These assassins in black clothes weren’t particularly strong.

Amalia could easily take down one with just one strike, which was abnormal.

If they were truly here to kill Josu Urrutikoetxea and Ángel Solana’s people, then these individuals would be sufficient.

However, Amalia didn’t believe that the people sent from behind were unaware of their side’s reinforcements.

The fact that they could arrive ahead of them indicated this possibility.

Unless... there were still more of them nearby.

As this thought flashed through Amalia’s mind, she immediately sensed a murderous intent flying towards her from a distance, quickly arriving in front of her.

It was an arrow, emanating immense energy fluctuations and possessing extreme destructive power.

Amalia immediately used her sword to block the attack, the force of the arrow pushing her back until the energy dissipated, and the steel-cast arrowhead crashed heavily to the ground.

Amalia took a few steps back, and in the distance, three shadows swiftly approached her.

They’re stopped in mid-air, hovering, as the cold wind whistled around them.

There was no doubt that these people were formidable people, at least their cultivation level reach Tier 2, and they arrived in a group of three.

Amalia finally understood that while these people seemed to target Josu Urrutikoetxea and Ángel Solana on the surface, their true goal was herself, and they were just using this opportunity to lure her out.

The real threat came from these three Tier 2 spiritual cultivators.

Should she be grateful that they didn’t send Tier 1 spiritual cultivators?

It wasn’t hard to guess that if Tier 1 spiritual cultivators engaged in a battle here, there would certainly be a response from the royal durian capital city.

So instead of sending Tier 1 spiritual cultivators, they sent three Tier 2 spiritual cultivators to surrounded and kill her.

"Go chase after Ángel Solana who’s escaping," one of the Tier 2 spiritual cultivators said to the remaining assassin in black clothes who hadn’t yet perished.

The three assassins in black clothes responded in low voices, immediately rushing towards the rear.

Amalia quickly threw out an amulet.

This amulet wasn’t meant to stop the three assassins in black clothes; it was meant to create an opportunity for herself to attack the three Tier 2 spiritual cultivators.

"Seeking death!"

The three Tier 2 spiritual cultivators, seeing that Amalia dared to confront them directly and even abandoned them to go after the assassin in black clothes, shouted angrily and immediately attacked.

One of them noticed that the amulet thrown by Amalia was about to explode.

With a cold snort, they attacked while instructing the other two, "You two, flank from both sides."

After the amulet exploded, the other two immediately flew out from both sides.

As they saw Amalia’s figure right in front of them and preparing to attack, the two small amulets suddenly flew towards them from the front.

"Not good, be careful," the white-bearded spiritual cultivator who noticed this exclaimed urgently.

How could Amalia overlook them?

Thinking that one advanced level amulet could block all three of them, she anticipated that two would break through from both sides.

She deliberately delayed for a second and threw two amulets towards both sides.

One after another, explosions from the amulets sounded behind her.

Amalia took advantage of the opportunity to attack the backs of the three assassins in black clothes, swinging her sword down.

One of the assassins in black clothes was instantly split in half from the middle by her strike, motionless.

Then, her sword slashed toward another assassin in black clothes.

"Take this!"

The roaring voice came from the pursuing spiritual cultivator from behind.

Feeling the strong surge of spiritual energy behind her, Amalia’s sword didn’t hesitate at all.
