Chapter 477: Assassin (Part 1)

Amalia had a premonition.

The distance from here to the underground black market they visited last time wasn’t far, but she remembered that the Black Lupina was an underground organization, so how could it have turned into a mercenary group?

"The Black Lupina Mercenary Group was indeed an underground organization, but since absorbing part of the Crimson Sangre Mercenary Group, they’ve started to develop some of their assets publicly, with the mercenary group being their best cover," Ernesto explained.

Ernesto didn’t know about Amalia’s grudge against the Black Lupina, but he could guess her thoughts, purely by chance.

"I have some history with the Black Lupina. Will they take care those two people?" Amalia asked.

Ernesto was surprised, "What kind of history is that? But even if they’re not pleased, as long as we bring Josu Urrutikoetxea and Ángel Solana to the royal durian capital city, the Black Lupina Mercenary Group won’t dare to do anything."

The Black Lupina was never a benevolent organization.

Since its establishment, it had been a target of government suppression.

Even if they had ten times the courage, they wouldn’t dare to snatch people openly in the royal durian capital city.

The leader of the Black Lupina Mercenary Group wasn’t stupid.

By sheltering those two peope, they gave the government an excuse to suppress them.

With this, Amalia felt more at ease.

She didn’t want any unexpected trouble.

It was best if the Black Lupina Mercenary Group didn’t interfere.

As they crossed streets and alleys, Ernesto pointed ahead to a residential area, "There, that’s where Josu Urrutikoetxea and Ángel Solana live. Further ahead is the Black Lupina Mercenary Group’s headquarters."

"Let’s go take a look," Amalia nodded.

During the journey, Amalia pondered how to quietly take Josu Urrutikoetxea and Ángel Solana away with minimal disturbance.

But when they arrived, she realized she had overestimated things.

The door to Josu Urrutikoetxea and Ángel Solana’s place was half open, yet inside, it was eerily silent.

Ernesto was about to walk over when Amalia held out her hand to stop him.

"Wait, something’s not right," Amalia said with a serious expression, already sensing a faint hint of blood in the air.

"What’s wrong?"

Ernesto hadn’t smelled it yet.

"There’s a smell of blood. Josu Urrutikoetxea and Ángel Solana might be in trouble," Amalia realized it while rushing over.

She didn’t immediately enter, but peered inside from the half-open door, noticing bloodstains in the courtyard.

"Oh my god," Ernesto exclaimed as he walked over and glanced inside, immediately gasping at the sight.

Inside, they couldn’t discern what had happened, but bloodstains were almost everywhere.

Amalia didn’t hear any sounds inside, so she pushed open the other half of the door and followed the bloodstains into the house.

The first thing she saw was Josu Urrutikoetxea’s body that was nailed to the wall, the blood were dripping down from his back, creating a gruesome scene.

"We’re too late," Ernesto said, visibly shocked.

Amalia kept a stern expression as she looked around the room, not spotting another body.

"So much blood has been shed. Either it took a long time for them to die, or it’s the blood of both of them. But why haven’t we seen Ángel Solana’s body?"

Ernesto also failed to locate Ángel Solana’s body.

"Ángel Solana probably hasn’t died," Amalia suddenly stated.

"How do you know?"

Ernesto immediately asked.

"While there are signs of a struggle everywhere, most of it seems to be caused by Josu Urrutikoetxea. Although there are many assailants, only one person seems to have attacked. If Ángel Solana had also fought back, there would likely be more traces," Amalia reasoned.

Based on this, Amalia deduced that Ángel Solana might have escaped from harm, or at least narrowly escaped.

Otherwise, given the brutality of these people, it would be unlikely for Ángel Solana to have escaped easily.

There were no traces of escape around the house, only some orderly footprints at the door, indicating that they left after killing, perhaps to search for Ángel Solana.

Amalia returned to the house and felt Josu Urrutikoetxea’s body.

It was still warm.

"These people haven’t left long ago. We need to find Ángel Solana before they do. Do you know where Ángel Solana might be?" Amalia asked.

"I do. Follow me," Ernesto said, immediately running out.

Amalia quickly followed suit.

"When I was asking around before, I heard that Ángel Solana has a habit of going to the bar every evening to drink. I don’t know if he went there early today," Ernesto explained as he ran.

"Is there a shortcut we can take?" Amalia immediately asked.

"Yes," Ernesto said without hesitation.

As a local, he knew several routes to the bar and quickly chose the shortest one.

Since flying wasn’t an option here, the assassins must have been walking too.

Getting to the bar ahead of them shouldn’t be a problem.

A few minutes later, Ernesto led Amalia to a secluded and dimly lit alley.

At the end was a small door, the back entrance to the bar.

Entering through the back door and passing through the restrooms, they arrived at the bustling and deafening bar hall.

It wasn’t yet evening, so there were relatively few people.

But once the night fell, the spiritual cultivators from the market would flood in, making it extremely chaotic and difficult to find someone.

Amalia instructed Ernesto to search separately, and he sent Ángel Solana’s photo to him.

Amalia decided to search the restrooms and the private rooms upstairs.

Ernesto immediately went off, knowing that even if the assassins arrived now, they wouldn’t recognize him, but it might be different for Amalia.

Amalia returned to the restrooms and entered the men’s restroom.

Inside, two men were urinating.

Hearing someone come in, they instinctively turned their heads.

Seeing Amalia’s beautiful face, one of the men with a crew cut couldn’t help but gulp involuntarily.

What a beauty.

They didn’t expect to see such a beautiful woman here.

Their lust ignited and their gaze becoming more blatant.

Amalia glanced at the two men, neither of whom was Ángel Solana.

She looked towards the restroom behind them and suddenly called out, "Ángel Solana?"

There was no sound coming from the two tightly closed restroom doors.

"Is this little girl looking for Ángel Solana?" the crew-cut man’s voice came over.

Amalia looked at the crew-cut man, "Do you know Ángel Solana?"

The crew-cut man’s eyes sparkled, "Of course, I know him. Ángel Solana is a regular customer here at this bar. If you’re looking for him, I can take you to him."

Amalia stared at him for a few seconds, her gaze were cold.

The crew-cut man became increasingly uncomfortable under her intense stare, and suddenly, Amalia’s imposing aura exploded.

She grabbed the crew-cut man’s collar, lifting him up, and stared at him coldly, "Say it again, do you know Ángel Solana?"
