Chapter 398: Let Me See Your Injury (Part 2)
Seeing Bernando Houssay’s sudden appearance, the Violent Obsidian Lindwyrm mistakenly thought that Bernando Houssay and the thief in it castle were working together.
Its rage burned like scorching lava and all of them were directed at Bernando Houssay.
"Human, today, I will make sure none of you leave this places alive!"
The Violent Obsidian Lindwyrm’s roar echoed across the sky, accompanied by flashes of lightning and thunder.
— A ball of light shot out from its mouth and aiming at Bernando Houssay, who was rising with pressure from the ground.
The two forces collided swiftly and dispersing the dark clouds with tremendous force.
A fierce wind blew, causing huge waves to rise on the water below and submerging the Violent Obsidian Lindwyrm’s territory.
The world seemed to change colors.
The humans and mutated creatures that Amalia and Kenny Lin had encountered before quickly retreated.
They’re afraid of being dragged into the battle between these two powerhouses.
Even a Tier 2 spiritual cultivator could be crushed to death by the collision of these two forces if they’re not careful.
The nearby trees had already been torn up, exposing the fragile ground.
The Soil and rocks flew everywhere, accompanied by the howling wind, leaving marks on everyone’s faces.
Nobody cared about these injuries; the faster they could escape, the better.
Because after Bernando Houssay and the Violent Obsidian Lindwyrm had clashed for a moment, another powerful force ascended into the air — it was María Valverde.
"Human beings are indeed despicable, two people fighting against one. They’re truly shameless," a powerful mutated creature who had rushed over nearby commented.
Originally, they wanted to see if there was an opportunity to take advantage the situations, but th nthey found out that the situation with the Violent Obsidian Lindwyrm was not very good.
Although they didn’t express concern, their words were full of schadenfreude.
"If something happens to the Violent Obsidian Lindwyrm, it may not be favorable for our situation with the humans," said the man with deep blue enchanting hair and an exotic face, indicating that he was not a normal human.
Those who heard this frowned.
In the central disaster zone, there were not many Level Fifteen mutated creatures.
If one of them were lost, it would indeed have a significant impact on their battle situation with the humans.
"If we stand by and watch the Violent Obsidian Lindwyrm die at the hands of humans, that person will probably be angry," the man with deep blue hair hinted meaningfully.
At the mention of that person, the other involuntarily shuddered and hiding a barely noticeable fear in their eyes.
"I understand. Let’s wait until the Violent Obsidian Lindwyrm is about to lose its defenses, and then we’ll make our move. Is that alright?"
He and the Violent Obsidian Lindwyrm had always been at odds, and he was reluctant to help his adversary.
However, for the sake of the bigger picture, he had to set aside personal grievances.
What’s more, if personal grudges led to changes in the overall situation, that person would definitely not forgive him.
"Alright," the man with deep blue hair agreed without hesitation.
Originally, he had no intention of appearing now.
The Violent Obsidian Lindwyrm was powerful, and if it was before its dragon transformation, the two humans might not be able to defeat it.
He agreed because he discovered several other powerful auras near the Twillight Abyss Waters.
After Amalia meet Kenny Lin again, she originally wanted to report her achievements to him but she suddenly noticed that he seemed displeased.
"What’s wrong? Are you injured?"
Amalia immediately thought he was hurt somewhere and she immediately forgot about her accomplishments for a moment.
Kenny Lin’s deep and dark eyes glared at her, as if there’s a swirling vortex that releasing a dangerous aura.
"I should be the one who asking you that, right?"
"Me? What did I do?"
Amalia looked at the smirk on his face.
What was this drama king up to now?
Suddenly, Kenny Lin grabbed her arm forcefully, his teeth clenched, "You detonated two spiritual artifacts at th same times. Do you think you’re made of iron?"
Amalia finally understood why he was angry.
She felt surprise and didn’t even care that her arm hurt from his grip, "So, you’re mad because I detonated the spiritual artifacts?"
Kenny Lin was furious, "Of course! You are my wife, my private property. I have never harmed my own property. Why would you do that!"
If it weren’t for him caring about her, Amalia really wanted to knock on his head to see what was inside and how he dared to talk about private property as if she were an object.
"Because I’m a human. At that moment, it was the only option," Amalia said softly.
"Besides, if I wasn’t confident, I wouldn’t have chosen to detonate the artifacts."
But this did not console Kenny Lin; his cheeks remained puffed up with anger, "But you’re still getting injured."
Amalia didn’t expect him to be so sensitive. She sighed lightly, "It’s just a minor injury on my internal organs from the impact. It’s nothing serious. Isn’t me standing here proof enough?"
Kenny Lin snorted but remained silent.
Amalia was worried that Violent Obsidian Lindwyrm’s subordinates would catch up, so she had to give in, "So, what do you want? I can’t promise you that I won’t use this tactic again in the future. I can only promise to try not to get injured."
Kenny Lin stared at her chest with an uncertain expression.
Amalia lowered her head, and she could felt his gaze that fell on her injured organs, feels like a wild beast’s gaze.
"If you want me to forgive you, let me see where you’re injured," Kenny Lin finally spoke after a while.
Amalia knew this was his biggest concession.
So, without much hesitation, she agreed, "Alright, you can see."
Kenny Lin reached out and lifted her shirt.
Amalia grabbed his hand and frowning, "Hey, is this necessary?"
"Of course it is. How can I see your injury through your clothes? Or are you actually seriously injured and afraid of being found out by me?"
Kenny Lin stared at her suspiciously.
Amalia hesitated for a moment and then she reluctantly let go of his hand, "Alright, go ahead and take a look."
Kenny Lin lifted her shirt, but he found out that it was inconvenient, so he simply tore off her already somewhat tattered shirt.
