Chapter 317: Amalia True Intentions (Part 2)
Amalia glanced at her but she didn’t say anything.
Elsa Pataky followed behind her, and a hint of a smile playing on her lips.
If Mark Rodriguez could survive this, she would definitely thank him.
Because of Mark Rodriguez’s appearance, it actually helped her to improve her relationship with Amalia.
After this incident, even if she couldn’t gain Amalia’s complete trust, it should be much better than before.
As long as Amalia wasn’t as wary of her, she would have a chance to make a move.
She was different from Mark Rodriguez, that fool with strong limbs.
When dealing with someone like Amalia, she couldn’t rely on brute force but she had to use her intelligence.
Clearing the obstacles along the way, the two of them continued to move deeper.
—After a while, they finally saw the sky in the distance, gathering a large swath of black clouds.
The black clouds were thick and vast, and faint thunder could be heard rumbling.
"It seems like the weather is about to change soon. It might not be a good idea for us to go in at this time," Elsa Pataky said worriedly.
She was more concerned about Amalia.
Did she bring her here to take advantage of the opportunity to get rid of her?
Amalia’s mission objective was clearly not the Stormforge Crystal Vein.
Initially, she thought she might be using this as a diversion tactic, but now it seemed like there was more to it, especially since they had both arrived here.
Amalia said, "We haven’t seen any Crimson Garnet Foliage along the way. Your target may not be in this area."
Elsa Pataky nodded, "That’s what I think too."
Amalia continued, "We only have half a month, and it’s already been four days. These thunder clouds won’t disperse easily. Waiting longer won’t give us a chance; instead, it will delay finding the Crimson Garnet Foliage."
Elsa Pataky was silent for a moment, then asked, "So what do you suggest?"
Amalia replied, "If you’re worried, I’ll go in and look for the Stormforge Crystal Vein myself. It shouldn’t take long, and I’ll find you afterwards."
Elsa Pataky’s eyes shifted, "But what if there’s danger? We may not be direct blood relatives, but we’re still relatives."
"Exactly because we’re relatives, if you follow me, I can’t guarantee your safety. If you wait for me outside, I can come out faster alone. If you want to go in, I won’t stop you."
Elsa Pataky sighed, "You make it sound like I’m just a burden. Though, it seems like that’s the case. Maybe I’m not suited for this place after all."
Sensing her reluctance, Amalia nodded, "I’ll find you later. Just leave me a signal."
"Well, since you put it that way, what else can I do? Alright, take care of yourself," Elsa Pataky finally agreed.
Once Amalia left, her expression immediately turned gloomy.
Is she trying to get rid of her, or is she really will come to find her?
His mission objective clearly isn’t the Stormforge Crystal Vein, could she be doing it intentionally?
Elsa Pataky couldn’t guess Amalia’s intentions for a moment.
Logically speaking, she should be pursuing her own missions target right now, yet she still lingered near the Stormforge Crystal Vein.
She couldn’t have been mistaken.
She could confirm that Amalia’s target was indeed not the Stormforge Crystal Vein, which leaving only one answer.
Amalia still doubted her.
She wondered if she was trying to test her by using the Stormforge Crystal Vein or perhaps she just want to getting rid of her by using the Stormforge Crystal Vein as an excuse.
The area ahead was very vast, with more than one exit.
After getting rid of her, Amalia could leave through another exit and pursue her true mission objective.
Once Amalia obtained what she needed, she wouldn’t have to worry about her taking an opportunity to do something evil toward her.
The more Elsa Pataky thought about it, the more it seemed likely.
Luckily, she had arranged for people to ambush Amalia near her true mission objective early on.
As soon as Amalia appeared near her true mission objective, her men would be able to spot her immediately.
After going over the plan once more, and ensuring there were no overlooked details, Elsa Pataky then departed.
As for leaving a signal for Amalia so she can find her, she was already certain that Amalia was wary of her.
So, how could she possibly reveal her whereabouts like that?
After shaking off Elsa Pataky, Amalia didn’t head straight for the materials that was listed on the note, as Elsa Pataky had assumed.
Her commitment to fullfil her promise to Arthur Rodriguez to participate in the Rodriguez family’s training didn’t mean she was willing to become a member of the Rodriguez family and accept their cultivation.
Besides, the Rodriguez family might not even be willing to cultivate her.
Therefore, there was no need to completed the so-called missions training.
Elsa Pataky’s thoughts were all correct, except for one thing she forgot.
It was whether Amalia was willing to completed her missions.
The Stormforge Crystal Vein wasn’t a mission given by the Rodriguez family.
It was an additional task from the school in order for her to skipping the grades.
In addition to this, there was another reason.
The Lumina Scale Komodo that had been quietly lying in his arms suddenly became restless.
Normally the Lumina Scale Komodo is very obedient.
So, Amalia suspected it had detected something, to which prompting her to shake off Elsa Pataky as soon as possible.
Fortunately, Elsa Pataky seemed to have other plans and didn’t follow her.
The direction that was indicated by the Lumina Scale Komodo was exactly where the clouds were thickest and the thunder and lightning were most intense.
After pushing its head back in, Amalia hurried over like the wind.
The Sour Lemon City Disaster Zone was slightly smaller than the previous Monde Disaster Zone and Sweet Cherry City Disaster Zone.
So, within half an hour, she arrived.
