Chapter 222: Rasler Yoder Scheme (Part 2)
"What did you say?" The three boys immediately got angry, and their eyes glaring at Javier Hermandez as if it can shooting a flames.
"Want to fight? We’re up for it!" Javier Hermandez took a step forward, fearlessly saying.
If he showed fear, that would be a joke.
Even though these people were in the same class, the strongest person from the Weaponry Departement and the Artifact Refining College were on his side.
He refused to believe that they couldn’t deal with these people.
Amalia and Lucia Lopes remained silent, but the look in their eyes towards these people carried a chilling gaze.
It was Amalia’s gaze who make them hesitated, her gaze akin to looking at someone who already dead.
Several boys were red-faced and choked.
It was impossible for them not to fear Amalia and Lucia Lopes.
However, if they let this matter slide, how could they lift their heads high later?
"Winston, do you need help?" Those who were joking around noticed that something was wrong and immediately walked over.
"What happened?" Another male classmate asked.
Winston Hierro, the boy with the stern face, seemed to gain confidence when he saw his companions arriving.
He repeated the words Javier Hermandez had used to scold them, and conveniently leaving out his own rude remarks.
The hot-blooded youth immediately got agitated.
"Just because you’re the number one in the year, does that give you the right to insult people at will?"
"This is a Disaster Zone, not a school. One-on-one battle is not appropriate here."
"Yeah, if you don’t give us an explanation today, this matter of insulting people won’t be over."
Several boys exchanged words with escalating tension, showing signs of wanting to engage in a fight.
Their tempers were flaring.
Amalia watched them shouting with flushed faces and a restless demeanor, she subtly furrowing her brows.
Looking at the situation from its essence, this was a trivial matter that didn’t need to be escalated.
This was still a Disaster Zone, and their enemies were mutant creatures, ruthless mercenaries, or wild cultivators.
Fighting among themselves here would be benefit to no one.
If there were others people nearby now, it might even give an advantage to those outsiders.
"What do you guys want?" Amalia pulled Javier Hermandez aside.
She then took two steps forward, and exuding an aura of authority without any anger.
Winston Hierro sneered, "Nothing much. Just apologize to us, and we can let this matter go. It seems you value your reputation as the top student of the year."
"How do we apologize?" Amalia asked calmly.
Winston Hierro’s eyes flashed, and he arrogantly said, "Kneel down and apologize. How about that?"
"It seems you have no intention of resolving this peacefully." Amalia’s cold gaze swept over each of their smug faces, shrouded in a chilling atmosphere. "Deliberately provoking, with just the few of you, I’m afraid you don’t have the confidence. Someone is manipulating you from behind, right?"
Those who were exposed couldn’t help but reveal a trace of discomfort, and some showed faint signs of panic.
"I don’t know what you’re talking about. You guys started insulting first, didn’t you? Saying these things is just an attempt to shift blame," Winston Hierro said with a cold smile.
"Damn, never seen someone shameless like you. Clearly, you guys spoke provocatively first, and looking for trouble. Otherwise, who the hell cares about you brain-dead idiots!"
Javier Hermandez’s anger grew, "The formation in the Disaster Zone were obviously set up by someone. Only brain-dead people would attack them for no reason."
The formation were clearly artificial.
However, before knowing who set them up, who dared to touch them?
What if it was done by mercenaries?
Even if not mercenaries, it could be demonic cultivators.
Or someone from their own school.
If these people didn’t avoid them and even attacked the restricted formation, it would be problematic.
It’s clearly, they were the ones who made the mistake first, and even knowing that it was their formation, they still dared mocked them.
It’s already considered good that Javier Hermandez can refrained himself from beating them up; insulting them verbally was already very lenient.
"Who are you calling brain-dead? I see you guys have no intention of resolving this. Brothers, they look down on us and insult us. What should we do?" Winston Hierro widened his eyes.
Amalia was now certain that Winston Hierro was the one who deliberately provoking them, he was likely aiming to fuel the anger on both sides.
He didn’t care about anything else; he just wanted to instigate a fight.
"Lucia Lopes, if students die in the Disaster Zone, will the school investigate?" Amalia suddenly asked.
Her voice was cold, and when it reached Winston Hierro’s group, they shivered.
Seeing the icy expression on Amalia’s face, a few of them suddenly had second thoughts with the idea of continuing the confrontation.
"Winston, how about we just drop it?" One of those who initially attacked the formation with Winston Hierro knew they were at fault but got carried away by anger.
Now, after they have cooled down a little bit, they realized the situation.
"Yeah, that’s actually..."
"What ’drop it’? Are you going to let them insult us like this? What about your dignity?" Winston Hierro interrupted the second person who was about to speak, and speaking anxiously.
Lucia Lopes responded calmly, "If there are too many deaths, the school will surely investigate. But it doesn’t necessarily have to involve killing. I have a solution that can make them disappear from our sight immediately."
"Forget about it, I almost forgot. There’s also the distress signal sent by the school," Amalia narrowed her eyes, looking dangerous.
Winston Hierro’s face suddenly changed drastically, "You dare!"
Amalia took another step in his direction, and the oppressive aura emanating from her became more obvious, "You deliberately stirred up everyone’s anger towards us, and wanting us to start a fight, right? It was Rasler Yoder who instructed you from behind, wasn’t it? You think we wouldn’t dare to kill, and as soon as we make a move, you can turn the tables on us. Your plan is quite cunning, but how did you assume your teammates are all fools?"
