Chapter 208: Monde Disaster Zone (Part 2)
The day to depart for the disaster zone training arrived quickly.
The school assigned several instructor to accompany students of different grades since many had no experience with disaster zone training.
Without instructors, there would be too many casualitites, which is considerable a loss for the school.
The students from different disaster zone training groups, led by their respective instructors, separated from Amalia as soon as they exited the school gate.
Under the guidance of the instructor, the Class 1’s team boarded the school’s floating vehicle one after another.
During the journey to the disaster zone, the instructor that was responsible for their safety approached them.
In one glance Amalia recognized him immediately; he was the instructor, Guerrero Long, who had interrogated her when she was slandered by Bertrand Ramirez and the others.
As soon as he appeared, therer was a burst of whispers spread throughout the vehicle.
"Look, it’s Instructor Guerrero Long who is in charge of our Class 1 group. That’s great; our safety is guaranteed!"
"Instructor Guerrero Long is well-known person; I heard that he advanced a few positions on the strong rankings list of Fruit Country two months ago, and entering the top one hundred."
"Quiet!"
Guerrero Long’s oppressive gaze swept across the vehicle, and the chattering student fell silent immediately: "Listen up; I will explain some precautions for entering the disaster zone training to you. So, you need to listen to it carefully; I will only say it once. If you forget, don’t blame others when you die in the disaster zone."
His voice and tone were harsh, as if human life meant nothing.
The restlessness among the students subsided a bit.
"This time, you will enter a disaster zone rated A+ or above. What is A+ and above? I believe your instructors have already taught you in class; So, I won’t go into it here."
A+ and above meant danger exceeding the typical A-level, and possibly reaching the level of S-class disaster zones.
Due to uncontrollable factors, the true danger level could not be determined, hence it was classify as the A+.
"This disaster zone was formerly a large island named Monde Island, so it’s also called the Monde Disaster Zone. Due to magnetic field interference, electronic devices in the Monde Disaster Zone may work intermittently. Whether you can contact your teammates depends on fate. Therefore, once you inside the disaster zone, try to stay close to your teammates."
Guerrero Long spread his hands, and a staff member immediately handed him a silver-white object.
"This is a distress signal. If you encounter danger, and there’s no one around to rescue you, you can launch this signal. The nearby instructors will come to your aid, but it can only be used once. The students rescued by instructors should consider their mission completed and cannot enter the disaster zone again."
"Finally, cherish your lives, don’t bite off more than you can chew, and some things are not meant for you to handle. It’s best to decisively give up. Instructors are not gods, and even if they rush over, it will take some time. I believe you wouldn’t want the instructors to arrive only to find your corpses or skeletons."
Perhaps imagining that scene, a few students shuddered immediately.
"I’ve said enough. Now, each person will be given a distress signal. Remember, use the distress signal when it necessary," Guerrero Long concluded, and stepping aside.
A staff member began to distributing the distress signals.
When it came to Amalia, she holding the distress signal in her hand.
She glanced at someone and suddenly asked a question.
"Instructor, do these distress signals have a personal markers?"
He didn’t say it explicitly, but Guerrero Long understood her true purpose.
Acknowledging Amalia’s identity, he replied nonchalantly, "Yes, unless someone snatches away your distress signal and happens to be nearby. In that case, it’s a different story."
"What about the team?" Amalia asked again.
Perhaps thinking that her team members might not understand, she added, "If the team encounters danger, and one person uses the distress signal, will the entire team be disqualified?"
"No, only the person who used the distress signal will be disqualified," Guerrero Long answered.
The Instructors couldn’t allow students to play around, and the school had strict regulations in this regard.
Amalia then nodded, "Thank you, Instructor. I have no further questions."
Guerrero Long gave a brief acknowledgment.
Seeing that others had no issues, he remained silent.
Surrounded by his team members, Rasler Yoder squinted his eyes.
Thinking about the look Amalia had given him earlier and hearing these questions, he knew who Amalia was targeting.
He couldn’t help but laugh; Amalia was indeed vigilant.
Yahir Yubero had already failed, and there was nothing to worry about.
Originally, Rasler Yoder had considered using this method by himself, but Amalia turned out to be even more cautious than he thought.
After a while, the floating vehicle carrying them finally reached the outer perimeter of the Monde Disaster Zone.
From a distance, they could see a forest covered with dense foliage – This was the Monde Disaster Zone.
While Monde Disaster Zone used to be an island, it was actually on the coast, with part of it bordering the land.
Over the years, due to various changes, the bordering areas had increased, and it was no longer recognizable as an island.
Looking into the distance, half of the Monde Disaster Zone was still shrouded in gray mist.
This gray mist emitting an ominous aura.
Some faint and eerie sounds could be heard from time to time, emanating from within the disaster zone.
Although it had once been an island, the Monde Disaster Zone was now partially connected to the mainland.
After many years of transformation, it was no longer recognizable as an island.
Some students who were initially restless became quiet at the sight.
