Chapter 1194: Unleashing the Beast
Major General Rafiq nodded. "Yes, there’s another one. Not sure where they are right now, but his strength is not much weaker than hers."
Laith was dumbfounded. "Damn it... I always thought I’d be humanity’s savior, but you stole my thunder, kid."
Major General Rafiq couldn’t help but laugh. "General Herrera, I wouldn’t dare take on such a title. We just got lucky, that’s all. But one thing’s for sure—we don’t need to worry anymore. This war’s outcome is already decided."
"Don’t be too sure," Laith cautioned. "Don’t forget, the aliens still have other weapons—like nuclear magnetic bombs. Even Immortal Duan wouldn’t dare take one head-on. War is unpredictable; anything can happen. Who knows if the aliens still have a trump card hidden up their sleeves?"
"Even if they have a trump card, it won’t change a thing," Major General Rafiq said with a cheerful smile, his calm confidence drawing glances from the two marshals.
Amalia did not go out of her way to hunt down the cultivators.
Those cultivators were already being chased across the battlefield by her puppets.
After witnessing the sheer strength of these puppets, none of them dared to engage the battle with it head-on—unless someone was foolish enough to run directly past her.
On the giant battleship of the Prince of Doomsday, a massive screen captured the flickering shadow darting through the battlefield.
With every movement she made, tens of thousands of aliens perished.
No matter how vast their numbers, they could not withstand such an overwhelming assault.
At last, the aliens began to panic.
Gren wanted to persuade the prince to retreat.
Their enemy was simply too powerful.
If they continued like this, their forces would be wiped out.
Even if they managed to escape safely, they would be left with nothing.
However, when he turned to the prince, he saw a twisted grin—an eerie, bone-chilling smile.
"Never... never before has anyone pushed me this far. I had intended to use my trump card against rival factions, but now... a mere backwater star system has forced my hand."
Prince Ceodore let out a crazed laugh.
This was a weapon he had prepared for his competitors.
"Release them."
Gren knew exactly what ’they’ were.
He wanted to protest, but at this point, there was no turning back. "Yes, my prince."
They were unaware that Kenny Lin was using his spiritual sense to monitor them.
At first, he had worried they might flee, but instead, they were releasing... something.
Something terrifying.
The battleship’s lower compartments unlocked in sequence, revealing a deep, pitch-black corridor.
From within, the sound of heavy breathing echoed.
Under Kenny Lin’s watchful perception, the owners of those breaths came into view—massive, grotesque giants, each at least five meters tall.
Their limbs were unnaturally long, their arms hanging limply at their sides.
Their eyes were massive, with barely any whites, and their jagged fangs dripped with saliva that hissed as it corroded the ground.
The moment they stepped out of the corridor, they leaped from the battleship.
It should be noted—the Prince of Doomsday’s battleship was still in outer space.
These creatures intended to free-fall all the way down to Planet Veloxia.
However, in the next second, massive wings—each spanning at least ten meters—sprouted from their backs.
With a single flap, they shot forward like lightning, disappearing in an instant.
They weren’t just fast; they were traveling at three to four times the speed of sound, and there weren’t just a few of them—there were hundreds.
"Interesting," Kenny Lin mused. "They don’t have the fluctuations of spiritual energy in their bodies, but there is another, equally formidable power at work."
This was an entirely different power system from cultivation.
If it didn’t originate from the Andromeda Universe, then it could only come from a higher-dimensional universe.
"Man-eaters," Prince Ceodore cackled. "It took me years to raise just a few hundred of these. Enjoy your final moments."
He did not believe that his enemies could survive this.
Man-eaters were the apex predators of high-dimensional power structures—superior even to the royal bloodlines.
However, they were not considered royalty because they lacked intelligence.
These creatures functioned purely on animalistic instinct.
Their overwhelming strength made them nearly impossible to tame.
However, once one was successfully domesticated, it would serve its master unfailingly.
Many royal families sought to cultivate an army of man-eaters.
If they succeeded, forget conquering a low-dimensional universe—they might even achieve dominance in the high-dimensional universe.
"Man-eaters, huh? The high-dimensional universe really is full of surprises," Kenny Lin murmured, stroking his chin. "Even disgusting creatures like these exist... but something about them seems off."
Humans had no idea what the man-eaters truly represented.
Even the Emperor and his ministers were witnessing such creatures for the first time.
Hundreds of man-eaters descended from the sky, bringing not salvation, but disaster.
Fortunately, Prince Ceodore’s hatred for Amalia ran deep—so deep that he did not order the man-eaters to slaughter humans.
Their target is only one and that’s Amalia.
She could already sense the murderous intent closing in.
Turning her gaze skyward, she saw hundreds of dark specks flickering against the stormy clouds.
As she focused, the man-eaters, previously hidden within the speed of sound, revealed themselves.
With a deafening crash, they struck the ground where Amalia stood, colliding into a writhing mass of monstrous bodies.
Yet, despite the sheer force of impact, they seemed unfazed by pain.
Their eyes darted around, searching for their target.
It didn’t take them long to spot Amalia, hovering just above them.
"Their combat power is indeed formidable. This must be the final trump card," Amalia mused to herself. "If they weren’t so grotesque, assembling a squad of them wouldn’t be a bad idea. I bet Kenny would love this."
She shook her head.
Now was not the time for idle thoughts.
The man-eaters surged forward again, breaking past their previous limits.
This time, their speed escalated to four times the speed of sound.
Amalia barely had time to react before they vanished, leaving the ground she had occupied seconds ago buried beneath a writhing horde.
"Enough playing around."
