Chapter 1139: Navigating New Horizons
"You’ve already thought of issues I haven’t even started considering," Amalia smiled.
Khalil scratched his head, "As long as you’re not upset, Ms. Amalia, I’m fine with it."
Amalia nodded, "Then we’ll do it your way. Please find suitable personnel, preferably within two days. We need to set off as soon as possible."
"Got it, leave it to me," Khalil said, before bidding Amalia goodbye and heading off to find Major General Rafiq.
Major General Rafiq trusted his subordinates.
Since they had saved their lives, he had no reason to ask them to stay behind and protect Lumora.
Without hesitation, he loaned them a group of Mecha Master.
The humans locked up on the battleship were also sent to Lumora, to be settled by Major General Rafiq.
"Major General Rafiq, while we’re gone, have your soldiers familiarize themselves with the Cosmorite Mechas. We’ll likely need them in the future. Also, to prevent the aliens from discovering our situation, I’ll leave five beast puppets here." Amalia said as she prepared to leave.
When Major General Rafiq heard that she was leaving the beazt puppets behind, his expression lightened. "Ms. Amalia, are you really leaving the beast puppets here?"
"Of course, leaving five beast puppets with me won’t change much," Amalia replied.
Having witnessed the formidable fighting power of the beast puppets firsthand, her words were like a reassurance, and everyone felt more at ease.
"Rest assured, Ms. Amalia, I will not disappoint your expectations," Major General Rafiq promised seriously, his expression as resolute as ever.
Amalia didn’t give much thought to his words, so she didn’t know that when they returned, an even greater surprise awaited them.
Major General Rafiq kept his promise and found technical personnel for Amalia, covering various areas of expertise.
There was no shortage of talent; they were far more professional than Khalil and his half-trained crew.
One of them had even operated an Imperial battleship before, though that battleship had since been destroyed.
With these experts on board, Khalil and his team no longer had to scramble in chaos.
In addition to the professionals, there were also many skilled workers.
Amalia personally guided them through the processes, teaching one person thoroughly before leaving the Cosmorite Mecha production facility to head to the control room.
Kenny Lin was seated nearby, watching a few technicians fiddling with the command consoles.
"How’s it going?" Amalia asked as she approached.
"They still need to finalize various data points," Kenny Lin replied.
Executing a spatial jump for a massive battleship was an incredibly complex maneuver.
It required extensive preparation, with no room for error.
Even though Kenny Lin had the memories of the control room’s previous chief operator, he couldn’t possibly understand everything; some tasks required specialists.
Moreover, for the battleship to perform a spatial jump, they had to pinpoint the exact jump coordinates.
Otherwise, they might end up tens of thousands of miles away from their intended destination.
Additionally, each spatial jump consumed a tremendous amount of energy, so even the aliens wouldn’t execute such maneuvers lightly.
If it weren’t for Major General Rafiq lending them so many skilled technicians, Amalia and her crew, being only semi-trained themselves, would have struggled to complete the task.
Even with double the time, success would have been uncertain.
When everything was finally ready, three days had passed.
During the spatial jump, Amalia and Kenny Lin felt nothing unusual.
With their cultivation at the peak of the Deity Transformation stage, their souls were powerful enough that such minor effects as dizziness couldn’t touch them.
However, others were not so fortunate—especially the technical experts.
Thankfully, as soon as Amalia and Kenny Lin noticed the problem, they acted immediately.
They enveloped the technicians in their divine sense, and all feelings of nausea and dizziness vanished instantly.
A spatial jump was typically a loud and chaotic process, but under the protection of divine sense, everyone felt only an eerie silence around them.
It wasn’t until a new expanse of the universe appeared before them, and Lumora had vanished from sight, that they finally heard a deafening rumble echo through the ship.
"Incredible, truly incredible."
The technical personnel, unaware of the true situation, were awestruck by the scene before them.
"The aliens’ spatial jump technology is truly remarkable, but why is it completely silent?"
"Exactly! If all alien warships are like this, wouldn’t we be caught off guard in a battle?"
Khalil stepped forward and said, "You don’t need to worry about that. This situation is unique to this specific battleship. Other battleship cannot achieve this."
Although Amalia and Kenny Lin hadn’t explained anything, Khalil could tell that their involvement was essential.
Still, as it touched upon their secrets, he refrained from elaborating further.
The group exchanged glances but didn’t press for details.
They weren’t inexperienced youths fresh out of school; seeing that Khalil wasn’t saying more, they left it at that.
"So, what’s our next move?" a man named Officer Khan asked.
He was the leader of the technical team sent by Major General Rafiq, and the others followed his instructions.
Khalil turned to Amalia.
He, too, was unaware of their exact plans for coming here.
"Waleed will stay behind. The rest of you can carry out your normal duties aboard the warship," Amalia instructed.
Waleed , whose name was called, looked to Officer Khan.
Officer Khan nodded and said, "Do whatever Ms. Amalia asks of you."
"Yes, sir!" Waleed immediately straightened his posture.
Once Officer Khan and the others had left, Waleed said, "Ms. Amalia, just let me know what you need. I’ll carry out your orders."
"It’s nothing too critical," Amalia replied with a smile. "Major General Rafiq mentioned that you’re quite familiar with the Erythar Star System. I’d like you to help identify some planets for us—no need to be so formal."
To save time, they didn’t want to identify the planets one by one themselves.
Having Waleed’s expertise would streamline the process significantly.
Waleed didn’t think much of it at first.
Identifying planets seemed like a simple task, just a trivial matter.
