Chapter 1065: Inferno Within the Bell

What’s more, the person who is blocking their way was merely at the Deity Transformation stage.

If they dared to fight even against Body Integration cultivators, why would they hesitate before a mere Deity Transformation stage cultivator?

The commotion quickly drew more people from the surroundings. The increasing numbers of attackers pressed harder against the formation.

While the beast puppets could hold back Deity Transformation stage cultivators, they were powerless against the Body Integration stage experts.

At the core of the formation, Vryss’laar coughed up a mouthful of blood, his internal organs clearly injured. He urgently sent a message to the others.

"Amalia and Kenny Lin are under siege—get to them quickly!"

"I can’t spare myself right now," Zhar’khaen’s voice was terse and quickly cut off.

He was already facing ten opponents, all at the Deity Transformation stage. Although they did not individually strong, their sheer numbers were overwhelming, and even he was struggling to hold his ground.

"I’ll go," Gor’kan responded, abandoning his pursuit of the Dalamandur and heading straight toward the treasure vault.

Meanwhile, Amalia grabbed Kenny Lin, swiftly retreating into another formation.

Rather than chasing them, the attackers surged forward into the treasure vault, leaving the Inverse Emperor Bell behind.

The bell clearly had an owner. Even if they coveted it, they would have to kill its master first. For now, looting the treasures inside the vault seemed like the wiser choice. Once that was done, they could focus on hunting down Amalia and Kenny Lin.

"Vryss’laar, move the Inverse Emperor Bell over here," Amalia immediately instructed Vryss’laar, who was stationed at the core of the formation.

Seeing that Amalia and Kenny Lin were safe, Vryss’laar let out a sigh of relief. "Understood."

He then relayed a message to Gor’kan, urging him to assist Zhar’khaen first.

The Inverse Emperor Bell quickly shifted to where Amalia and Kenny Lin stood.

"Damned thing! Let us out immediately!" The voices of those trapped inside the bell were still shouting as they continued their futile assault.

"How are you feeling now?" Kenny Lin grabbed Amalia’s arm, his voice filled with urgency.

"I’m fine now. The ring has been repaired, but something unexpected happened. I’ll explain it later after we’ve dealt with this," Amalia replied before asking, "When I was refining the Phoenix Feather, did you absorb the remaining Phoenix True Flames?"

Without a word, Kenny Lin produced the Yin-Yang Pearl. The pearl’s yang side burned with intense flames, which he could not absorb due to its extreme and unyielding nature. As such, it remained contained within the pearl.

"We’ll figure out a solution for this once we’re out of here," Amalia said, her gaze briefly settling on the Inverse Emperor Bell.

"Can you transfer the Phoenix True Flames into the bell?"

A cold glint flickered in Kenny Lin’s eyes as he looked at the bell. "Of course."

The two trapped inside the bell, who had been relentlessly attacking it, suddenly noticed a glimmer of light.

"It’s open!" they exclaimed and rushed toward it.

But before they could react further, a surge of flames flooded in from the source of the light.

The demonic beast leading the charge hastily tried to retreat, but the flames still managed to graze it. It let out a pained, agonized scream, its eyes filled with terror. These flames were no ordinary fire—they caused even its soul to ache with unbearable pain.

The bell rapidly filled with flames, and the temperature inside soared. An overwhelming heat began to scorch their very souls, burning with an intensity that seemed inescapable.

"Let us out!" the pair screamed in desperation, terror overtaking them. They knew if this continued, they would be burned alive.

Outside the bell, however, Amalia and Kenny Lin remained unmoved. Letting them out was out of the question—they would turn on them immediately to kill and plunder their treasures.

As their physical bodies were incinerated, only their primordial souls remained. The two primordial souls cried out in anguish, surrounded on all sides by an endless sea of fire. No matter which direction they fled, there was no escape.

Amidst the inferno, they suddenly sensed a faint, chilling aura. In their madness, the two primordial souls rushed toward it without hesitation.

Anything that could relieve the pain of their burning souls was worth pursuing, no matter the cost.

But as the darkness enveloped them, a look of relief spread across their faces.

Although they had perished, at least the torment and agony had ended.

"Their primordial souls were absorbed by the Yin-Yang Pearl?" Amalia asked, sensing everything that had transpired within the Inverse Emperor Bell. She had also noticed the dark vortex that devoured the primordial souls.

"It was a discovery by chance. I’m not sure how it works, but every time it absorbs a soul, I feel my strength increase," Kenny Lin replied.

"Don’t use it in front of others again," Amalia warned. If word spread, they might be labeled as a demonic cultivator.

While they weren’t afraid of trouble themselves, they couldn’t risk implicating the Green Lotus Sect.

"Don’t worry. Ordinary people won’t notice. Previously, when the Yin-Yang Pearl absorbed two primordial souls, no one else reacted at all," Kenny Lin replied confidently.

"I didn’t expect the Inverse Emperor Bell to be here with you," Vryss’laar remarked, only now noticing the artifact’s presence.

"You recognize it?" Amalia asked.

"I’ve heard of it. The Inverse Emperor Bell is an existence even more extraordinary than the Empyrean Sky Obelisk. It’s a naturally occurring spiritual artifact, it was not something artificially created," Vryss’laar explained.

"There are naturally occurring spiritual artifacts?" Amalia asked in surprise.

"Of course there are. But with the collapse and disappearance of the Immortal Realm, the sentience of such artifacts has also faded. It’s said that they once possessed intelligence."

"You seem to know a lot about this." Despite having visited the Path of All Immortals, Amalia and the others still lacked knowledge about such matters.

"I know more than Gor’kan and Zhar’khaen because I’ve read all the books from my clan," Vryss’laar said with a faint tone of pride.
