Chapter 1031: Returning to the Sect

Chapter 1031: Returning to the Sect

You ignorant mortals, he thought. If you’d seen him pull out over a hundred divine artifacts from the Sword Tomb only to discard them like trash, you’d realize this pile of a dozen divine artifact is like a child’s play.

Jinhwa Hou sighed inwardly. He had clearly outgrown the others on this ship—after all, he was now a man who had seen the world.

"Put everything away," Amalia said, her face immediately turned dark. Everyone else looked envious, but this level of show off was just too much.

Kenny Lin obediently stashed the items back. "Feeling any better now?"

"Does wanting to punch someone count as a change in mood? Do you think I’d feel better if I vented a little?" Amalia asked while forcing herself making a smile on her face.

Kenny Lin quietly packed away the remaining boxes. "How am I supposed to answer that? I fully support you venting on someone else, though."

"What if I only want to punch you?" Amalia tilted her head, fixing him with a pointed look.

Kenny Lin whispered back through a voice transmission, Oh, That’s fine. How about we wrestle on the bed instead?

And then he got punched.

More than half a month later, after a long and arduous journey, the luxurious flying ship finally returned to the Green Lotus Sect.

"Disciple humbly welcomes Master Lian and the other safe return. You’ve all worked hard."

Elder Fu led the group waiting on the main peak, accompanied by a host of disciples who gazed at them with awe and admiration.

Master Lian nodded his head slightly. "You handle the follow-up matters. I’ll take my leave."

"Understood," Elder Fu replied, bowing his head respectfully. After watching Master Lian departure, he then turned around to Jirandal Tang and the others.

"Elder Fu, where is my master?" Renshu Chang asked, looking around in confusion, expecting his master to be waiting for them. However, there was no sign of him.

"Senior Brother Tang, Senior Brother Chang!" Bai Runyue emerged from the crowd while pouting with an aggrieved expression. "Father went into seclusion shortly after you left. Not only that, but he also locked me up too! Can you believe that?"

Bai Runyue was furious. She had wanted to join them on the journey to the Path of All Immortals.

Renshu Chang cleared his throat. "Junior Sister, Master was only looking out for you. The Path of All Immortals is indeed dangerous place; many promising talents had perished this time."

Jirandal Tang shot her a sharp look. "Don’t interrupt the Elder when he speaking."

"It’s fine," Elder Fu said with a smile. "The sect leader has already entrusted me with managing matters during his seclusion. You two senior brothers have just returned. I will handle the sect’s affairs for a few months until Renshu Chang’s cultivation stabilizes, then transition the responsibilities."

Renshu Chang was taken aback. "Elder Fu, did Master truly say this?"

"Of course. The sect leader instructed that your priority should be cultivation for now," Elder Fu replied cheerfully.

A complex mix of emotions surged in Renshu Chang’s heart. So Master had known all along.

This journey to the Path of All Immortals had deeply impressed upon him the critical importance of cultivation strength.

He didn’t want to be the one holding others back. He longed to fight valiantly alongside his senior brothers instead of being relegated to the sidelines.

"We’ll be off as well," Amalia said, seeing that there was nothing more to address, preparing to part ways.

Elder Fu glanced at her and couldn’t help but recall an incident. His disciple had once ventured into the rear mountain array alongside Amalia. Back then, his disciple’s cultivation was slightly higher. Now, while his disciple had yet to break through from the Nascent Soul stage, Amalia had already reached the Deity Transformation stage. Fate, it seemed, was capricious.

"Let me first offer my congratulations to both Martial Uncle and Martial Aunt. Your accomplishments have spread far and wide—truly commendable," Elder Fu said with a smile, brushing aside his thoughts.

"Spread far and wide?" Amalia asked, puzzled by his words.

"The news of you two defeating cultivators stronger than yourselves during the Path of All Immortals has already spread across the Mystic Void Continent. By now, the Heavenly Talent List must have been updated," Elder Fu explained.

Amalia was surprised. "Heavenly Talent List? What’s that?"

"You’ve never heard of it, Martial Aunt?" Elder Fu asked, surprised. He had assumed they would know. After all, most prodigies were very invested in their rankings.

Amalia shook her head. She had been too busy to concern herself with such lists.

"The Heavenly Talent List were created by the Armory Pavilion. Besides this list, there are the Earth List and Spirit List as well."

"The Heavenly Talent List track the top one hundred prodigies, all under two hundred years of age. Once someone exceeds two hundred years, they are removed from the list."

"The Earth List are for those between two hundred and two thousand years old, typically featuring former prodigies who aged out of the Heavenly Talent List."

"And the Spirit List record the strongest cultivators on the Mystic Void Continent?" Amalia asked, piecing it together.

"Indeed, Martial Aunt. If you’re interested, you can request someone to purchase a copy of the Martial Gazette. The rankings for the three lists are updated there monthly. With your recent prominence at the Path of All Immortals, both of you are sure to be featured."

"Thank you, Elder Fu. I’ll keep that in mind. If there’s nothing else, Amalia and I will take our leave," Kenny Lin said with a nod.

"Amalia, if you’re interested, I can have someone send over a copy of the Martial Gazette later," Renshu Chang quickly offered before they left.

"Sure," Amalia replied. She didn’t refuse; it was more convenient this way.

At the Sect Leader’s Main Hall, several elders and other peak masters were already waiting for them.

This expedition to the Path of All Immortals wasn’t just a rare opportunity for the younger generation but also a significant event for the Green Lotus Sect, aiming to uncover secrets of the Immortal Realm and seek more legacies.
