Forcing Me to Be Reborn?! -
Chapter 320 - Chapter 320 Chapter 248 Repayment Day Arrives_3
Chapter 320: Chapter 248: Repayment Day Arrives_3 Chapter 320: Chapter 248: Repayment Day Arrives_3 “So, has anyone beaten the game yet?” There were quite a few posts of this kind.
The replies varied wildly.
Some were addicted: “Dammit, I’ve been playing all afternoon!”
Some were disregardful of rules: “I’ve been sneakily playing during class!”
Some were law-abiding: “I didn’t play during class; I just watched the person next to me play.”
Some were jesters intruding on the formation: “It’s just you two fuckers sitting together in class, isn’t it?”
And some were cursing: “This motherfucking game feels so damn cheap!”
Of course, contemporary college students have one peculiar trait.
And that is they really love to deceive people online!
Beneath such a post claiming a game cleared, there would actually be people blatantly lying: “Someone has, me!”
Such scams are pretty low-level and obviously fake.
But some, out of sheer boredom, would seriously trick others, claiming they knew someone who beat the game and then describe it in vivid detail!
Cheng Zhu picked up his phone to show Chen Jieyu: “Look, there are really people who believe the posts underneath.”
“There are people asking for strategies and others wanting to become disciples.”
“There’s even someone saying if you beat it, they’ll split the reward with you, haha.”
College students are just so amusing, haha!
Chen Jieyu, however, shook her head and said, “I just took a look in the group chat, many counselors are playing too, and they said some professors are joining in as well.”
Cheng Zhu joked, “I wonder if Dean Zhang will give it a try?”
“Dean Zhang?” Chen Jieyu paused for a moment.
Don’t forget, she is a student of Dean Zhang’s wife.
“Dean Zhang probably won’t, he’s of that age already, why would he play your game.” Chen Jieyu was somewhat bemused.
“That’s true.” Cheng Zhu was just speaking off the cuff.
Whether Dean Zhang plays his game or not is really not important.
He just wanted to make a big splash, to draw more of the old man’s attention.
As mentioned before, Cheng Zhu wasn’t really focused on game development; his goal was to create a social network platform in the future, for which he needed Dean Zhang’s help.
“Shit Sheep” is a “disposable” type of game, which is perfect for him, saving him the effort of long-term maintenance.
Cause a stir for a while, make a noise, make a quick buck, and then be done with it.
He himself didn’t really understand games.
Not to mention…
“It’s only 2014 now, putting all my effort into game development might be less fruitful than investing some money into the currently somewhat broke miHoYo.” Cheng Zhu thought to himself.
He was well aware of how rich a certain man who invested in miHoYo eventually became!
As time ticked by, Chen Jieyu glanced at the clock and reminded him, “Cheng Zhu, if you don’t leave soon, you won’t be able to get back to your dorm.”
“I’m not going back to the dorm,” he replied.
He indeed hadn’t planned to stay in the dorm that day.
“Hmm?”
But his words still made the counselor feel a sudden chill in her heart.
He couldn’t possibly be planning… to stay overnight in the faculty residence building, could he!
No way, that’s just not possible!
The entire building is filled with my colleagues!
Zhao Xiaoqian, living upstairs, is one of the few colleagues-turned-friends I have here!
This was completely taboo, not only in terms of their identities but compounded by the environment itself.
Ha! So much for a man’s heaven!
Cheng Zhu turned his head to look at her and suddenly cracked a smile, elongating his tone, “Ohh–I get it, you’re trying to kick me out now.”
“It’s not… I….” Chen Jieyu didn’t know how to explain.
She was indeed just giving a simple reminder about the time.
But kicking him out was inevitable sooner or later.
“Alright then, I’ll leave.” Cheng Zhu stood up and was about to open the door.
Now she was scared, Chen Jieyu quickly stood up to block his way, and swiftly closed the door he had cracked open.
She even used her hips to push the door, closing it in such a manner.
“What’s wrong?” Cheng Zhu feigned ignorance.
“What if someone sees you in the corridor on your way out, or at the main door?” Chen Jieyu frowned deeply, warning him in a serious tone. She thought he was being too careless.
Yes, he could leave, but she definitely needed to scope out the surroundings first and ensure it was safe before he could rush off!
It was really too dangerous the way he was going about it now!
Chen Jieyu’s heartbeat sped up at that moment.
How could she know, with this dog of a man’s vast experience, that he wouldn’t consider these things?
He did it on purpose.
“Oh, so Mr. Chen is afraid of me being discovered at your place?” he lowered his gaze to Chen Jieyu and gently pushed her forward.
Now the counselor, who was initially just leaning her backside against the door, ended up pressing her whole body against it.
“You… mmm!” Her lips were promptly sealed.
Since this wasn’t a guesthouse but a faculty residence, she couldn’t help pushing him forcefully, only to be met with Cheng Zhu embracing her tightly around the waist and pulling her into his arms, bringing them close together.
Chen Jieyu pushed him several times and, during the kiss, her hands pressing on his chest turned into a gentle grip on his hoodie.
The kiss lasted for over a minute, and when their lips finally parted, Cheng Zhu looked down at her hands clutching his hoodie.
The counselor hurriedly let go.
“Gripping so tightly, do you really want me to leave or not?” he teased with a smile.
Her delicate face, already slightly flushed behind the gold-rimmed glasses, blushed even more.
The face with a touch of sternness furrowed her brows once more, her tone regaining some of the counselor’s authority, “You should! You definitely should!”
