Forced to Marry the Sickly Billionaire
Chapter 273: Aren’t You Going to Explain?

Chapter 273: Chapter 273: Aren’t You Going to Explain?

Serena Summers felt her back tense uncontrollably, nervously swallowing saliva and her hand gripping the computer was starting to sweat.

Lucas Shaw’s brows furrowed tightly, "What are you doing?"

Serena batted her innocent, pure-looking eyes with a guilty face, "I’m not doing anything. You saw wrong."

This attempt to cover up made Lucas burst into laughter.

His little wife really wasn’t very good at lying.

Serena didn’t realize that the expression on her face had already given her away, her hands clutched the computer tightly, looking at Lucas defensively.

The only thought in her mind now was that she absolutely couldn’t let Lucas see what was on the computer.

She could have never imagined that the video her second senior brother gave her would be of that sort.

It was embarrassingly mortifying!

Luckily, even though Lucas had pushed the door and come in, she quickly closed the laptop.

Serena had no time to see the screen clearly, only a vague impression.

Despite this, her cheeks inevitably flushed a deep red.

Her originally fair cheeks now looked alluring and beautiful, and the flush made it hard to look away.

Plus, Serena had just come out of the bath, her hair still half-dry.

Combined with those moist, sparkling eyes, it was impossible not to feel one’s heartbeat quicken.

Lucas’s gaze deepened, leaning down slowly, getting close to her, "Really? Then what are you hiding?"

Under the intense gaze of Lucas’s dark, profound eyes, Serena’s heart fluttered more chaotically, her eyes flickered slightly, as she forced herself to remain calm.

"I’m not hiding anything! You must have seen it wrong!"

Lucas chuckled lightly.

When Serena was nervous, she loved to try and cover things up. The small expressions on her face didn’t look like everything was okay at all.

His eyes fell on the computer held tight in Serena’s delicate hands.

Noticing Lucas’s gaze, Serena quickly hid the laptop behind her, with increased vigilance in her eyes.

"There’s nothing!"

Lucas’s lips curled up slightly, leaning in close to her ear.

The man’s breath was hot and scorching, all of it blowing onto Serena’s cheeks, making them even redder than before.

Taking advantage of Serena’s distraction, Lucas swiftly snatched the computer away when she was unguarded.

His movements were crisp, without any hesitation.

Surprised, Serena’s eyes widened, and she tried to snatch the computer back, but the man’s tall figure simply lifted it high out of her reach.

Serena stood on tiptoes, stretching out her hands to grab it, but she couldn’t reach it no matter how she tried.

Finally, Serena sat back down on the couch with a defeated look, glaring at him crossly.

"Give it back to me now!"

"No," Lucas replied, and sat down on the other side of the sofa, casually opening the laptop.

Serena’s computer wasn’t password protected, so a simple press of a key would do.

In that moment when the screen lit up, Lucas suddenly froze, his gaze shifting again and again, his expression gradually darkening.

He looked at Serena, his narrow phoenix eyes slightly squinting, his lips curling into a mocking smile.

"So... this is what you like? You should have said so earlier."

Serena knew it was beyond salvaging, silently sat on the couch, covering her burning cheeks with both hands, so embarrassed she wished she could crawl into a hole.

Second senior brother!

You’re done for!

When he returns to S City, he certainly won’t let Vincent Carter off easy!

Lucas crossed his legs, expressionless as he shut down the computer, his pale fingertips lightly tapping on the laptop’s metal case.

The action was casual, yet it exuded an indescribable danger.

"Aren’t you going to explain? Serena?"

Serena Summers wished she could find a place to hide; how could she have the nerve to speak now?

Lucas Shaw waited for her response with great patience.

Serena quickly adjusted her emotions and slowly moved her hands away from her face.

She tried to say in the most serious tone, "What if I say, these things aren’t mine, would you believe me?"

Lucas Shaw raised his eyebrows, his lips curving into a meaningful arc, "I believe you."

"And what if I say, I was just watching a movie the whole time, and it suddenly popped up by itself, and I only glanced at it, just one glance! Would you believe that?"

The last four words conveyed a hint of caution.

Her moist and clear eyes were exceptionally earnest and focused.

There wasn’t the slightest trace of lying.

Lucas Shaw let out a low chuckle, helplessly stroking his forehead.

He didn’t answer Serena’s question, but walked over to her, leaned down, and picked her up by the waist in one swift motion.

Serena was unprepared when her body suddenly lifted into the air, causing her to cry out in surprise, her arms tightly wrapping around the man’s neck.

"Ah! What are you doing?"

Lucas Shaw’s temple throbbed with veins from restraining himself, and then he carried Serena to the bed.

The action was exceedingly gentle.

But Serena instinctually felt a trace of danger.

She tried to get up, but the man’s tall figure was already pressing down on her, her wrists held aloft over her head.

Serena wanted to struggle further and tried to explain, but her lips were suddenly sealed.

The man’s kiss was as fiery and passionate as he was, leaving no room for her to refuse.

"Uh..."

Serena was kissed by him, her mind filled with only one thought: this time it’s serious!

Her clothes were unknowingly removed, and the man’s actions were initially very tender.

Serena was dizzily kissed, with nothing but the man’s deep, gentle coaxing in her ears.

Then, a sharp pain suddenly hit her.

For some reason, the sensation of pain didn’t have a delay this time.

For the first time, Serena felt that kind of pain vividly.

Lucas Shaw paused his movements momentarily, giving Serena enough time to adapt, then slowly began to move.

His thin lips nearly kissed every part of her body.

Serena felt as if she were floating in the depths of the ocean, drifting, swaying with the waves.

The moonlight slowly hid behind the clouds, and the long night had just begun...

When Serena woke up the next day, she felt completely disassembled.

Although he had been restrained, Lucas Shaw was after all a grown man.

Having suppressed his feelings for over twenty years, he wished to vent all at once.

But considering Serena’s body, he ultimately showed some restraint.

Even so, Serena was extremely exhausted.

With a slight movement, Serena involuntarily inhaled sharply.

At this moment, sunlight filtered through the thin curtains and shone on the man’s chiseled face.

Despite his sharp features, there was now a touch of softness; the cold and distant aura around him seemed to fade away.

Serena stared at him, dazed and entranced.

She’d always known how enchanting Lucas Shaw’s face could be, and even though she could see it every day, she’d still get captivated by that face in an unguarded moment.

As if possessed, she reached out her hand, her fair and luminous fingertips gently caressed the man’s refined eyebrows, his prominent nose, thick eyelashes... finally resting on his sensual thin lips.

She slowly leaned in, wanting to steal a kiss.

But just as her lips were about to touch his, the man suddenly opened his eyes.
