Chapter 97: Calling Aeri

Chapter 97: Calling Aeri

The women’s washroom door swung open, and Sara stepped out, she brushed a strand of hair from her face as she whistled a tune, humming along to the music drifting through the mall, her smirk, her body still tingling from the heated sex with me in the cubicle.

She rounded a corner, nearly colliding with Aeri, who stood just outside the washroom, her cream sweater soft under the lights, her jeans and white sneakers very opposite to Sara’s bold outfit.

"Woah, that scared me!" Sara exclaimed, her hand flying to her chest, her boots skidding slightly as she stopped short, her smirk faltering for a split second.

"I should say that, you idiot," Aeri said, her voice laced with worry, her brows furrowed, her hands clutching her phone tightly. "Where were you? What took you so long?" Her eyes searched Sara’s face, her concern genuine.

Sara laughed, a nervous edge to it, her hand waving dismissively as a bead of sweat glistened on her temple.

"Ahh, it was a very heavy dump, so it took my time, ehehe," she said, forcing a wide, sweaty smile, her eyes darting away for a moment, the lie slipping out too easily, her jacket rustling as she shrugged.

Aeri’s frown softened, her lips twitching into a reluctant smile. "Oh, I see," she said, her voice still tinged with doubt, her gaze flicking back toward the washroom door. "And what about Ezra? Where’s he at?"

Sara’s smile froze, her eyes widening slightly, but she recovered fast, tilting her head with an innocent look. "Umm? Your baby? He isn’t with you?" she asked, her voice light, her hands slipping into her jacket pockets, her boots scuffing the floor as she played dumb.

"No, he went to the washroom after you," Aeri said, her brow furrowing again, her fingers tightening around her phone. "But he hasn’t come back yet." Her voice carried a quiet worry, her eyes scanning the washroom entrance.

Sara’s laugh was quick, a little too loud, her hand reaching out to pat Aeri’s shoulder, guiding her toward the restaurant.

"Ohh, I see, well, no worries," she said, her tone breezy, her boots clicking as she pushed Aeri gently forward. "He’ll be back soon. His small anus must be dumping it slowly, don’t worry. Now come, come, let’s eat."

Her hands stayed on Aeri’s shoulders, steering her toward the booth where their half-eaten plates and pile of shopping bags waited, her smile wide but forced, her eyes avoiding Aeri’s.

Aeri giggled, shaking her head, her tension easing under Sara’s way of saying things.

"You say stupid things, Sara," she said, her voice warm, her white sneakers scuffing the floor as she let herself be guided.

"You mean *logical*," Sara shot back, her grin proud, her chest puffing out as she tossed her hair, her jacket creaking, her confidence back in full force as they neared the booth.

They reached the table, the shopping bags spilling over the couch, the plates of chicken alfredo and burger cooling in the soft light.

*Buzzz.* Aeri’s phone vibrated in her hand, the screen lighting up, catching her attention. "Just a second," she said, pausing near her seat, her eyes dropping to the phone, her thumb swiping to check the message, her brow furrowing slightly.

Sara flopped into the booth, stretching her arms with a loud,

"Phew, I’m more hungry now after taking all that dump." her boots tapping under the table as she grabbed the menu, her eyes scanning the dishes. "Let me order a new dish," she said, her voice casual, her fingers flipping the pages.

*Tap, tap.* Aeri’s sneakers hit the floor, her body tensing as she read the message, her eyes widening.

"Ehh?" Sara looked up, her menu lowering, just as Aeri spun on her heel, fast-walking toward the washroom, her phone clutched tightly, her jeans swishing with her quick steps.

"What happened, Aeri? Where are you going?" Sara called, leaning forward, her voice tinged with confusion, her red nails gripping the menu, her brow furrowing as she watched Aeri’s retreating figure.

"Washroom. Will be back in a minute, You eat whatever you want till then" Aeri said without looking back, her voice sharp, urgent, her white sneakers flashing as she disappeared into the crowd, her sweater a pale blur against the mall’s bright chaos.

Sara slumped back in the booth, her menu flopping onto the table. "Sighhh, so weird...." she muttered, her voice low, her eyes narrowing as she scanned the dishes, her fingers tapping the table, her earlier confidence shaken by Aeri’s sudden rush. "Waiter!" she called, raising her hand, her voice loud, cutting through the restaurant’s hum.

*Tap, tap.* The sound of sneakers echoed in the empty washroom, quick and purposeful, and my pulse spiked, recognizing Aeri’s familiar tread. The door creaked open, and her voice, soft but edged with worry, broke the silence.

"Ezra?" she called, her tone curious, searching, her steps slowing as she stepped inside, the washroom was empty and silent from other voices or footsteps, a lucky time in the crowded mall.

"Here..." I said, my voice low, steady, forcing a calm I didn’t feel as I sat in the cubicle, the door slightly open.

"Come inside." I called her out from inside. Aeri turned hed face towards the source of voice and walked close to it.

*Clack.* The cubicle door swung open, Aeri’s white sneakers appearing first, then her cream sweater and jeans, her hair loose and catching the light as she stepped inside, her eyes wide with concern.

"Ezra...?" she said again, her voice softer now, almost a whisper, her brow furrowed as she took in the sight of me—fully dressed, my black shirt and t-shirt neat, my hair smoothed back, my smile gentle, like nothing was wrong.

"What happened? You called me out in men’s washroom suddenly. Is everything okay?" Aeri asked with concern and worriness in her eyes.

And on the other hand, I looked all calm and normal even though there was a storm of guilt burning inside of me. I wanted to see her before I would’ve lose my mind to Sara’s stupidity.
