Nia Mitchell suddenly recalled something terribly important—like that lunch at noon.

It was hard to imagine someone as distinguished as him carrying a takeout box all the way back to the villa, only to find... nobody home.

"Uncle Peary..." Nia Mitchell trailed off, hesitating where she stood. He’s clearly angry. If I go over now, I’ll be annihilated, not even a speck of dust left.

"So, have you had lunch then?"

"This is my uncle. Uncle, this is our class president." Nia Mitchell grinned at Maxwell Peary, her face clearly pleading with him not to reveal their secret.

When she was engaged to Hendry Hampton, the school was rife with rumors, mostly about her trying to marry up. Now that the engagement hadn’t worked out, if news spread that she was marrying Maxwell Peary, she couldn’t imagine what people would say.

"So, this is Nia’s uncle, huh? I’m Ralph Perez." Ralph Perez breathed a sigh of relief. He’d initially thought there was something between them; he hadn’t expected him to be her relative.

Nia Mitchell looked at Ralph Perez with some surprise. They had been classmates for four years, but they weren’t familiar enough for him to call her Nia.

"Ralph Perez?"

Who does this guy think he is? Maxwell Peary glanced at the student.

"Uncle, Uncle, let’s go eat!" Afraid Maxwell Peary might say or do something, Nia Mitchell tugged hard on his hand, trying to pull him away.

"Alright, let’s go now."

He walked out of the playground holding Nia Mitchell’s hand. From a distance, the Principal saw this and hurried over. Young Master Peary was standing by the window of the Principal Office earlier. "Young Master Peary... you haven’t eaten yet? Allow me to host. Shall we go to the Royal Dynasty Restaurant?" The Principal blocked their path with an obsequious smile. "May I ask, this student is... to you?" Who is she to him?

When Nia Mitchell saw it was the Principal standing before them, she immediately let go of his hand.

"Principal, he’s my uncle. Do you know my uncle?"

The Principal chuckled awkwardly. "So, you’re Young Master Peary’s niece! You’re quite the joker, young lady. How could I possibly be qualified to know Young Master Peary?"
