Lu Jing was so hungry that he didn’t even feel like moving. They had just drawn six or maybe seven tubes of blood from him, leaving him feeling light-headed and numb.

Fortunately, this last exam wasn’t too taxing, as he didn’t need to move while lying down on the exam table.

Combining hunger with sleepiness, he almost fell asleep for real.

It was only after the examination room doctor called out to him twice that he snapped back to reality.

"It’s done. The exam is complete."

"No problem. It must have been tiring, having been here all morning, right? Would you like some water?"

When Lu Jing came out of the examination room, she didn’t immediately see where Jiang Ye was. Just as she was about to call him, she saw him coming out of an office across the hall, followed by a middle-aged man whose attitude was very respectful.

Apparently seeing his wife, Jiang Ye quickened his pace considerably.

After the previous patient came out, they knocked and entered.

"Professor Guo," they both called out in unison.

The female professor certainly remembered this young couple—the first patients who came for consultation that day. Plus, the lovely pair was quite striking, a perfect match.

Generally speaking, attractive people tend to leave an impression.

"Come, have a seat."

The two of them then sat down.

Soon after, a nurse knocked and entered:

"Professor Guo, the test results are out."

"Okay, give them to me."

After the little nurse handed them over, she left the room.
