Chapter 45: Market Trend Posters
Rino didn’t take the question Kasper asked him to heart. He just walked in deliberately, taking in the still room as he settled into the seat offered to him.
The office’s atmosphere was not tense, but it was filled with the distinct air of business. Kasper, who expected a response from Rino didn’t take his eyes off him, while Amaka leaned comfortably backward against her seat, tapping her lips, as she swung her seat.
"I’m sorry," Rino apologized. "I was caught up with a responsibility."
He didn’t wait for them to make any comment. He picked up the envelope on the desk which was labeled Red Tann in bold print across its front in silver ink, and gently unsealed it.
"May I?" he realized he needed to be polite.
Even though it was true that the proposal was based on his drafts, it was prepared on his behalf using Red Tann, so, every member of the group should also feel like the owner.
Well, to him, he was still going to make plans for preventing future claims.
There was still the possibility that Red Tann would someday wish to become the Partnered owner of Nova Nexus Tower, and Rino didn’t want that to open.
"You’ve unsealed it already," Kasper responded.
"Then... well enough."
As he drew the document from the envelope it was concealed in, the system chimed in his mind.

For a while, I thought I’d lost you, Rino thought. 100%? I’mma read it then.
He pulled out the document, neatly bound and stapled, bearing the official signature and insignia of a certified legal firm. That was what he wanted to see in his proposal.
A proof that showed it had passed through legality.
Flipping to the page where the information was printed, his eyes scanned them in silence.

RED TANN BID PROPOSAL FOR THE ACQUISITION AND DEVELOPMENT OF NOVA NEXUS TOWER
This proposal is drafted and submitted by the Red Tann Group, hereafter referred to as The First Party, in response to the open government bidding on the Nova Nexus Tower property, with the purpose of urban development, financial restructuring, and digital integration.
♦ CLAUSE 1: BID COMMITMENT
The First Party agrees to tender the sum of Fifty Million US Dollars ($50,000,000) for the full acquisition of the Nova Nexus Tower, inclusive of its assets, liabilities, and all governing rights as applicable under federal property law.
♦ CLAUSE 2: DEBT RESTRUCTURING PLAN
The bid value considers the outstanding debts owed by Nova Nexus Tower, ranging from unpaid worker salaries to federal and regional taxes. The First Party intends to use a revenue-based model drawn from the property’s restructured ecosystem to gradually offset and settle these debts within a stipulated timeframe to be agreed upon post-acquisition.
♦ CLAUSE 3: TECHNOLOGICAL ENHANCEMENT
The First Party proposes an extensive overhaul and integration of modern digital infrastructure within the Nova Nexus Tower. This includes but is not limited to: smart access systems, energy-efficient automation, AI-based facility management, digital concierge services, and remote monitoring hubs. This improvement aims to align the property with global smart-building standards.
♦ CLAUSE 4: MARKET-TREND-BASED EVOLUTION
The First Party has also accounted for future scalability and adaptability based on trending market indicators as reflected through public and commercial visual media (e.g., posters, digital ads, public billboards). By observing the natural marketing patterns of urban environments, we believe aligning development with consumer-facing trends will ensure Nova Nexus Tower becomes both a hub of innovation and a template for futuristic investment.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
After reading the clauses that contained the first and most drawing content he thought would make his chances of winning over the bid, Rino paused and nodded in quiet satisfaction.
"100% indeed."
The lawyer had done a clean job and followed his drafts to the letter while also refining the tone and structure. They really have a way with words when preparing their documents.
He still contemplated with a smiling face when Kasper thought it best to throw his confusion concerning one of the clauses.
The fourth clause.
Yes, before Rino arrived, they had gone through the proposal.
"Uhm..." Kasper cleared his throat, "This fourth clause. The part about ’posters’ and public trends. What exactly are you saying there, Rino?"
Kasper was not the only one confused. There was Amaka who also agreed with his question.
"Yes. What does it mean to consider trending markets based on posters?" she chimed in with a slight smirk.
Rino smiled inwardly.
If the duo in front of him happened to be Forex or stock traders, understanding what he meant by that clause wouldn’t have been their problem. In as much as there were technical or sentimental methods of analyzing the trend charts, they also needed to depend on economic news.
Well...
He stood up from his seat slowly and walked across the glossy floor of the office to the towering transparent glass wall of Amaka’s office and pointed outside.
"Tell me," he said. "What do you see out there?"
Amaka followed his finger with her eyes. "Office buildings. Real estate branches. They’re just like mine."
He nodded. "Good. Now look closely at the signboards placed close to each of them."
She squinted, and then her face shifted in recognition. "Posters. Most of them say things like ’House for Rent’ or ’Contact Us for House and Land Sales’."
"Exactly!" Rino’s voice grew livelier. "Those posters are not just paper with ink. They are indicators. Signals. They tell you where the market is heading. People don’t invest blindly—they invest in where the noise is loudest."
He turned to face both of them, his voice now rising in conviction.
"You erected your estate agency because of land inheritance. But you expanded it to include housing because you saw the posters shifting. ’Buy homes,’ ’rent apartments,’ ’own estates.’ That’s where the buzz went. So you followed it. Right?"
Amaka nodded slightly, admitting the logic. However, she didn’t fail to be surprised as to how Rino actually knew how everything had happened.
The truth was that as Rino stepped into the building, he had gotten an analysis of the economic developmental factor of the company.

So, Rino already knew what the company was made of, and that was why he was able to guess that Amaka had made her adjustments based on predominant demands at the time.
"And now," Rino continued, pointing again, "See those ones?"
This time he directed their attention to a billboard across the street, displaying bold digital ads for a phone company, another for a virtual banking app, and one promoting tech-based learning.
"They are the next wave. Digital technology is not just coming to Medar, it’s already here. But the people and the government are barely catching up."
"As an investor..." Rino paused and averted his gaze to Kasper. "...you don’t wait for confirmation from policies, instead, you create the path and make the policies catch up."
He turned away from the glass and slowly made his way back to the desk, calm but confident.
"That’s what clause four is about. If the world is talking about something through posters, then it’s already happening. Investors shouldn’t follow the crowd, they should follow the signs."
He sat back down and locked eyes with both of them, feeling he had made his point well.
Kasper, clearly processing everything, stared silently—like a student trying to digest an advanced lesson.
Amaka, however, tapped her nails softly on the glass desk, her eyes narrowed in thought. She was not the type to listen to all the lectures just now without making an assumption.
Rino had noticed that from dealing with her recently. So, he prepared his mind for whatever would be coming from her.
As expected, she finally spoke.
"It makes sense. But..." She leaned forward.
"But?"
"What if the government hasn’t seen that vision yet? What if they don’t consider your proposal relevant to their expectations?" Amaka asked.
