Chapter 83: Chapter 16: Investigate the Murderer

She carefully fed him. Suddenly, the atmosphere in the room was quiet and serene.

The sunlight shone on them, warm and enchanting.

A bowl of rice was quickly finished.

Gu Xiaoxi looked at the empty bowl, put down the spoon, and asked Quan Shaoqing, "Would you like some more?"

"No need," Quan Shaoqing’s voice was slightly tired, after the commotion that had just occurred. It was as if he had used all his strength, and he seemed somewhat listless.

She couldn’t help reaching out and gently touching his forehead. Perhaps he was not accustomed to others’ touch, he immediately opened his eyes.

"Sleep, it’s just me," Gu Xiaoxi said with a warm smile.

After seeing her, he closed his eyes heavily again.

"So obedient?" Gu Xiaoxi was surprised but pleased, touched his hair as if she was comforting a little dog, "Good boy!"

Quan Shaoqing kept his eyes closed. Hearing those two words, his eyebrows instinctively furrowed. His body was too tired to open his eyes, so without giving it much thought, he continued to fall deeper into sleep.

The furnishings in the room were all temporary and appeared quite random—the computer was placed on the desk, turned on, obviously having been used just moments before.
