Chapter 486: Chapter 106: Truly a Little Demon
The plane took off.
Qing Lian was imprisoned at the designated location.
Everyone sat at the airport, staring at each other.
"I say, where’s the danger coming from? I don’t believe they’d dare to hijack the plane," Zhao Zilong said, gripping his weapon tightly.
"Naive, do you even know what vampires are? Some of them can move as fast as bullets. Even hijacking a plane in the air is possible," Jing Haoran said expressionlessly.
"Have you seen it? You haven’t seen it, so stop trying to scare people," Jiang Shichi shouted.
Wu An had been sitting quietly in the corner, his expression solemn.
And Gu Xiaoxi had been silent the whole time, until suddenly she looked up and said to everyone, "Qing Lian is very fast. Although she’s not as fast as a bullet, you wouldn’t be able to catch her if she decided to run."
Yun Xiao looked at Gu Xiaoxi, puzzled, "Does that mean we might actually have to fight those people in the air?"
"Anything is possible. Don’t forget, there was once a group of criminals who hijacked a plane in mid-air, drilled a hole through the top, and assassinated an important official. Everyone on the plane saw it happen. After the assassination, they left," Gu Xiaoxi said.
At this point, everyone exchanged glances and fell into a brief silence.
"Stay alert, and then take turns resting. It’s a journey of over ten hours to the International Alliance," Gu Xiaoxi instructed.
As the team leader, when Gu Xiaoxi spoke, naturally everyone listened.
Yun Xiao sat on a stool, glanced at the white clouds outside the plane, and thought that every mission was a test of survival.
Only those who were fearless could bravely stand up and grow!
Thus, she gripped her weapon tightly, determined to complete the mission no matter what.
Soon, morning passed and the midday sun shone brightly as the plane flew through the sea of clouds.
Gu Xiaoxi and Wu An were both cleaning their service pistols.
Yun Xiao and Mo Li were using binoculars to keep watch and stay vigilant.
After cleaning her gun, Gu Xiaoxi looked up at Wu An, "Why aren’t you talking?"
"Talk about what?" Wu An’s thin lips curled into a smile. A girl whom he used to chase was now capable of being his team leader.
He had no choice but to accept it!
"What are your thoughts on this mission?" Gu Xiaoxi asked.
Wu An, expressionless, said, "Anything could happen, just like I never knew before that vampires really existed in this world."
"Relax, they won’t come during the day. They’re most active after seven o’clock at night, when it’s completely dark," Gu Xiaoxi said.
Wu An was puzzled, "Do you have an idea then?"
"Of course!" Gu Xiaoxi already had a strategy to deal with the group of vampires.
Just then, Quan Shaoqing sent a message.
"Be careful, our decoy has been exposed," Quan Shaoqing’s message read.
"I am prepared!" Gu Xiaoxi immediately sent a reply.
Then she turned off her phone.
Qing Lian was locked in the cage, restless and struggling incessantly.
By now she had bared her fangs and was struggling furiously.
Gu Xiaoxi, having nothing better to do, walked over to Qing Lian.
Peering through the cage, she observed the woman curiously.
"You’re quite beautiful!" Gu Xiaoxi said with a smile.
"Release me! Otherwise, when they come, they’ll eat all of you," Qing Lian struggled defiantly.
Before, no matter how loudly she yelled, no one paid any attention to her.
Now that someone was finally willing to talk to her, her bravado began to swell.
"Eat us up!" Gu Xiaoxi smirked and sat down calmly on a chair outside the iron cage, "I am really curious to meet the true experts of your royal family. But considering you can’t even deal with Mi Xi, I doubt you’re that impressive!"
"Foolish! Do you think Mi Xi is as simple as you think? Let me tell you, don’t get fooled without even realizing it," Qing Lian rattled the iron chains continuously, breathing heavily.
Naturally, Gu Xiaoxi knew what was going on with her. As a vampire, being deprived of blood made her hungry.
The sight of someone before her when she was hungry was as torturous as a starving person looking at food, and that was why she kept struggling.
Gu Xiaoxi turned her head nonchalantly, flashing a provocative smile at Qing Lian, "He told me, he doesn’t like you at all. Also, you are the murderer who killed his sister. In this lifetime, he will always hate you."
Gu Xiaoxi kept her eyes fixed on Qing Lian’s face, and as she spoke, she saw her expression gradually contort.
"He really said that to you! ...What else did he say?" Qing Lian became increasingly agitated, her body slamming against the iron cage. Alas, with both hands fixed to the rack, she was utterly immobilized.
"A lot!" Gu Xiaoxi smiled with her eyes narrowed, "I’m just really curious, you vampires are so powerful, why can’t you kill Mi Xi?"
Qing Lian’s face turned deathly pale, her gaze at Gu Xiaoxi twisting crazily as she suddenly burst into laughter, "Hahaha... So you still don’t know who he is! That’s right, he naturally wouldn’t tell you. Because he is not human at all."
Gu Xiaoxi was taken aback, her lovely fingers pausing, but it was only for a moment before she smiled again, "How could that be, I’ve been by his side for so long, I’m sure he is human."
"Have you ever seen a human who has lived for hundreds of years?"
Upon Qing Lian’s words, Gu Xiaoxi paused once more, her smiling eyes gradually becoming serious, "A person who lives for hundreds of years is an immortal! If he’s not an immortal, could he be a ghost, then?"
"You’re not so foolish after all!" Qing Lian sneered, "He is a ghost cultivating to become human!"
"Stop joking!" Gu Xiaoxi felt a chill creeping up her heels. "Ghosts cannot transform into humans, let alone become a boss!"
"Four hundred and ninety-eight years of cultivation, do you think he lacks the ability to become human and live in this world?" Qing Lian sneered.
"Don’t lie to me, then how do you explain his sister?" Gu Xiaoxi said loudly. "Could it be that Mi Xue is also a ghost?"
"She is..." Qing Lian suddenly stopped mid-sentence. Only at this moment did she realize that Gu Xiaoxi had come to her to fish for information.
"Why stop talking?" Gu Xiaoxi asked with a smile.
Qing Lian, infuriated, turned her head away, glaring fiercely at Gu Xiaoxi, "Bitch, you actually dare to trick information out of me."
"You’re going to die sooner or later anyway! Provide some useful information, and maybe if I’m in a good mood, I’ll find you something to eat," Gu Xiaoxi said nonchalantly.
"Tell you what, I am not going to die. They will definitely come back to save me!" Qing Lian said assertively, then looked at Gu Xiaoxi with suspicion, "Will you really give me something to eat?"
She was truly starving; her guts were wrenching with hunger.
"That depends on whether the information you give is worth a meal!" Gu Xiaoxi sat with her legs crossed, a smile on her face.
"Mi Xue is the reincarnation of his sister; she is just an ordinary person."
"What about Mi Luo?" Gu Xiaoxi inquired, "Is he really the child of your brother and Mi Xue?"
"Of course!" Qing Lian’s expression became agitated as she spoke of Mi Luo. "It’s all because of that damned woman. If not for her, my brother wouldn’t have betrayed the royal family and died."
"Wasn’t your brother killed by your own royal family?" Gu Xiaoxi recalled what Mi Xi had said.
"He died from consuming too much human food in his attempt to become human, eventually beyond cure. The Blood Emperor ended his misery out of pity," Qing Lian said through clenched teeth.
"Eating human food was his choice. Your Blood Emperor is too full of himself, to presume to take his life. You didn’t seek revenge on the Blood Emperor but killed Mi Xue, who was as harmless as a chicken. No wonder Mi Xi hates you so much," Gu Xiaoxi sighed.
One reaps what one sows!
"If it weren’t for that whore, my brother wouldn’t have betrayed the Blood Emperor," Qing Lian trembled, seemingly starving, "Give me food!"
Gu Xiaoxi pulled out a piece of compressed biscuit from her pocket and stuffed it into Qing Lian’s mouth, "Eat! This is all I have; if I give it to you, I’ll have none left."
Qing Lian, disgusted by the sudden food in her mouth, retched, "Gu Xiaoxi, I don’t eat this garbage. I want blood!"
Gu Xiaoxi immediately covered her wrist, her eyes wide as she let out a cold laugh, "No blood for you! Every drop of blood in our bodies is precious; if it flows out, we will die."
She was not that generous to feed her own blood to a criminal.
"Ah! Gu Xiaoxi, I’ll kill you!" Qing Lian howled behind Gu Xiaoxi.
Gu Xiaoxi ignored her and went back to take her seat.
At this point, everyone looked at her, puzzled.
"What did you say to make that monster go mad?" Tang Yisheng asked, not understanding.
"She said she was hungry, so I gave her a compressed biscuit," Gu Xiaoxi replied expressionlessly.
Zuo Yu scratched his head in confusion, "That’s very generous of you, we didn’t bring much food with us."
When they were on a mission, they wouldn’t carry a lot of food, so as not to weigh themselves down.
The others couldn’t help but snicker.
Especially Jing Haoran, who laughed most sinisterly, "Vampires need to drink blood, and you gave her a biscuit. It’s like humans need to eat, and you offered them a basket of pig feed."
Everyone couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
Gu Xiaoxi truly was the Little Devil.
