Fated love: the unwanted bride -
Chapter 964 - Chapter 964 Chapter 964 She is the Rightful Mrs. Santos
Chapter 964: Chapter 964: She is the Rightful Mrs. Santos Chapter 964: Chapter 964: She is the Rightful Mrs. Santos Ann Nolan found it increasingly amusing. Humble?
She really didn’t understand how Harper Glorian could say those two words to her.
“Miss Ann Nolan, usually be more amiable to people and learn to get along with others, so that when you fall on hard times, no one will kick you while you’re down,” Harper Glorian said indifferently, leaning against the car.
“Miss Glorian, your so-called amiability equates to flirting? I admit, a crying child gets sweets, and a little flirting often solves many problems. But I can’t learn your ways. And, Miss Glorian, don’t you know that women who rely on men are the least secure?”
Ann Nolan didn’t make her point too explicitly.
With a man like Zaiden Santos, he might be kind to Harper today, but who knows about tomorrow?
She thought Harper would understand this principle, but she was obstinately clueless.
Since she was clueless, there was no need for further discussion.
“Are you talking to me about security? I’m living much better than you,” Harper found it amusing, “Look, is your car better than mine, or is your bag better than mine? You don’t even have a necklace around your neck; do you feel secure with this?”
Ann Nolan felt that what she and Harper aspired to were completely different.
There was no way they could have a common language.
Harper’s thoughts were truly childish, matching perfectly with that man, Zaiden Santos.
Men tend to like fragile, coy women, and Zaiden is no exception.
Ann’s gaze was undisturbed, calm and collected.
She glanced at her phone and said calmly, “The police should be here soon.”
Their vehicles were both damaged to different extents.
She was planning to go to the beach with Jasmine Yale later and now would need to take a taxi.
There were plenty of cars in the Santos Mansion garage, but all belonged to Zaiden, and she didn’t want to drive any of them.
Harper’s expression changed; if Zaiden found out his newly bought car was wrecked just days after purchasing it, she’d probably have to cajole him for a long time.
“Making such a fuss and even calling the police over this minor incident, you really are a troublemaker,” Harper said coldly.
“What else should I do? Should I stand under the sun and argue with you all afternoon?” Ann responded calmly, “You have the talent to twist black into white, something I haven’t yet learned.”
“Are you still not admitting it was your fault? It was because you suddenly braked that I hit you!” Harper was unrepentant.
“Of course, I don’t admit it; who’s right and who’s wrong, won’t we know once the police arrive? It’s not as if every man is blind,” Ann retorted, indirectly slandering Zaiden, too.
“All you’re left with is the ability to argue with me; you’ll cry later,” Harper scoffed.
What pride would Ann have left after the divorce?
She didn’t believe a divorced woman could find a better man than Zaiden Santos.
Then, she would legitimately be Mrs. Santos.
Harper really didn’t understand why Ann was so proud; only a few people knew about her marriage to Zaiden.
Moreover, when attending banquets or entering clubs, it was she whom Zaiden brought along, not Ann.
Outsiders assumed Zaiden was single, truly a prized bachelor, a favored child of heaven, and she was his girlfriend.
So, she really couldn’t understand why Ann was still so prideful and unresponsive.
She truly hadn’t experienced hardships.
The road was not very busy, quiet, lined with tall green trees and lush plants on both sides.
The shade was dense, and the hot wind blew from all around.
The sunlight poured down, causing thin layers of sweat to form on both Ann’s and Harper’s faces.
