Chapter 1127: Chapter 1127: He is a Very Gentlemanly Man Chapter 1127: Chapter 1127: He is a Very Gentlemanly Man Jasmine Yale smiled, “I should say I’m lucky. The first snow I came to see and I had someone to join me.”
So I wasn’t all alone from start to finish.
She was also surprised that Yukon Carbon had come back for the weekend.
“I regret not being able to watch the evening performance with you,” said Yukon.
“It’s not a regret. There are many evening performances at the school, and I think, eventually, there’ll be one you can find time to come watch.”
“You also don’t need to go to the bakery often. Sometimes you can ask my mom for leave, and you need proper rest too. Regarding salary, I can make decisions.”
“That’s okay, I have nothing to do at home on weekends anyway.”
Jasmine Yale walked under Yukon’s umbrella, casually chatting with him.
Students passed by on the roadside from time to time, and the bright library was just a gaze away.
The snow kept getting heavier.
“It’s going to be very cold tomorrow, dress warmly. Sleep in a bit in the morning, no need to come over,” Yukon instructed.
“What, I can’t even go to the shop for breakfast?”
“If you want breakfast, I’ll bring it to you.”
“Are you taking advantage of the fact that the bakery is close to my apartment to be willful?” Jasmine Yale laughed.
“You could say that.”
Jasmine and he walked side by side, snowflakes falling outside the umbrella.
At that moment, a car approached from the opposite direction.
Yukon quickly wrapped his arm around her shoulders, pulling her to the side of the road, “Be careful.”
The car passed by without splashing mud on Jasmine Yale’s shoes.
From the first moment she saw Yukon, Jasmine knew he was a very gentlemanly man and he always had been.
His affluent upbringing and proper education turned him into a gentle and modest gentleman, amiable and unpretentious.
As they walked, they reached the end of the grove.
From there on, it was the school’s main gate.
The roadside trees and bushes were all covered with snow, a vast expanse of white.
With such heavy snowfall, by tomorrow morning, it would turn into a delicate crystal world.
“Mr. Carbon, I’ll be home after walking a little further,” Jasmine Yale smiled.
“I know, I will walk you down to your building.”
“Okay, thank you.”
They walked this stretch of road very slowly.
Looking around, snowflakes fell gently.
Yukon carried a light scent of tobacco, his fragrance clean, unmingled with any impurity.
Walking beside him, Jasmine felt very secure.
Actually, her half-year abroad had been quite happy, occasional emotional ups and downs notwithstanding.
She felt that if it could always be like this, it would be good.
Yukon walked her all the way to the downstairs of her apartment building, his shoulders somewhat damped with snowflakes.
“Go upstairs, I’ll watch you go up,” Yukon folded up his umbrella, standing under the corridor.
“You head home early too. It’s cold outside, be careful on your way.”
“No problem, it’s just a ten-minute walk.”
“Bye-bye,” Jasmine Yale waved at him, a smile with dimples appearing at the corners of her lips.
“See you tomorrow.”
Jasmine nodded, then turned and disappeared into the stairwell.
As usual, Yukon waited until the light on the eighth floor was on before he left.
The apartment balcony was covered with a thick layer of snow, Sweet Kitty lying lazily and comfortably in its nest.
Seeing Jasmine come back, it immediately perked up and meowed as it approached.
“Sweet Kitty, it’s snowing. How about we stay in tomorrow and have hotpot? Jasy will go to the supermarket tomorrow morning to get groceries.”
“Meow.”
Jasmine took that as its approval and laughed as she rubbed its head.
She held Sweet Kitty and went to the balcony, “Look, it’s snowing. Is this your first time seeing snow?”
