Chapter 1115: Chapter 1115 Time Goes by Slowly Chapter 1115: Chapter 1115 Time Goes by Slowly Along the way, Jasmine Yale ran to the bakery in her little boots.
She brought Sweet Kitty with her.
“Sorry, I’m late,” Jasmine apologized as soon as she entered.
“It’s okay, my mom isn’t here,” Yukon Carbon said, looking very much like a boss, with his sleeves rolled up and a gentle expression on his face, “You can have coffee and desserts made by my own hands today.”
Yukon pointed to the best spot in the shop, “I reserved it for you, knowing you would come.”
Despite having sent her a text message, Jasmine would surely come, knowing her nature.
On the table was a freshly ground cup of Mandheling, its aroma filling the air, along with her favorite pastries.
Jasmine put down her backpack, made a heart shape with her hands towards Yukon, and winked, “Thank you, Boss Carbon.”
“Is there a tip?”
A tip?
Jasmine set Sweet Kitty down beside him, “Here, can I lend her to you for a while, okay?”
“Meow!” Sweet Kitty looked at Jasmine with a sense of grievance.
Jasmine rubbed its little head, “You’ll get meat to eat staying with Boss Carbon.”
“Alright,” Yukon held Sweet Kitty, “Let me see, you’ve put on quite a bit of weight in just a few days.”
“Meow!” Sweet Kitty felt even more aggrieved.
“Sweet Kitty is a Little Princess; you can’t call her fat,” Jasmine told him.
Yukon laughed.
In the sunlight, his laugh was clear and refreshing, exceptionally comforting.
Jasmine sat at the table and noticed that a vase of flourishing lilies had been thoughtfully placed on it.
Jasmine felt unexpectedly good.
Today–the weather was good, the breakfast was good, the scenery was good, the flowers were good, the person was good.
Yukon’s culinary skills were quite remarkable; Jasmine had a few bites of the coconut tart and found herself loving the taste.
The shop wasn’t very busy at the moment, so Jasmine called out, “Boss Carbon, the tarts you made are delicious.”
Yukon sat down across from her, playing with Sweet Kitty in his arms, watching Jasmine.
“If you like it, eat it all up. If you can’t finish, I won’t make them for you anymore,” Yukon threatened gently.
Jasmine laughed, her eyes narrow slits, “What if I can’t get enough?”
“If it’s not enough, I’ll keep making them.”
“Then watch out, I might eat you out of house and home,” Jasmine started eating.
With her mood lifted, her appetite was exceptionally great as well.
Occasionally, she would glance at Yukon.
The man in the light grey sweater was gentle and refined, with a calm and peaceful look in his eyes, no harshness, no severe temper.
Yukon seemed a bit lean, mature and steady, unhurried, and very organized in his doing.
Warm sunlight filtered through the glass, shining on the table, on Jasmine and Yukon, and on Sweet Kitty’s lazy face.
The scene was quiet and harmonious.
Golden light spread all around, like shimmering, glittering fragments of gold.
Jasmine was having breakfast, while Yukon just sat across from her, watching her, occasionally exchanging a few words.
Time moved slowly, everything was extraordinarily beautiful.
“I used to dream of opening a coffee shop, one that’s really cosy, then keep a cat to accompany me,” Jasmine spoke full of longing, “Surrounded by the aroma of coffee, I would just sit in the shop all day, teasing the cat, making pastries.”
“Isn’t that just like now?”
“Yeah, pretty much.”
Just like now.
The only difference was, this bakery belonged to Yukon.
But it was like half her dream had come true.
She loved this kind of life, simple as water, without distractions.
Jasmine took a sip of coffee, eating her pastries.
